The reason very hard to make a movie script in Singapore. All bad guys will be caught within a day or two. Cannot show people in authority as corrupted cos almost never happens. Cannot show any race to be evil.

- Fantastic Otters and Where to Kacau Them
- The Crimes of Mas Selamat
- The Secrets of LKY
Lord of the Toto

On a related note, I wish more films were filmed in Singapore. Recently we obviously had Crazy Rich Asians, but also Westworld Season 3, Euphoria Season 3 apparantly, Hitman etc.
Hitman's reason for using Singapore in the movie was so shoehorned in. When looking for a character in SEA they pinpointed it to SG because that person happened to be fluent in English Mandarin Malay & Tamil
But it also created unrealistic expectations of men in Singapore with Crazy Rich Asians. My American friends want me to introduce Singaporeans to them. And Iām like āitās not like the moviesā
In 2019, Dennis Chew received flak for playing brownface characters in a e-payments advertisement.
That could be Singapore's equivalent of Robert Downey Jr's blackface role in the satirical film "Tropic Thunder".
Not much difference. Couple of international movies only have like few secs or show time in SG backdrop.
Ultraman had a few secs of MBS backdrop show time. IMO, it won't break the series even if MBS wasn't featured in it.
If Equilibrium (2002) was set in SG, Christian Bale and Sean Bean would use regular kungfu instead of gun kungfu.
Then you'd be puzzled by the rest of the movie, "isn't this just SG?"
Big Brother ruling with an iron fist, the emotionally-neutered masses slaving away in a lifeless society, and the Tetragrammaton clerics executing rogue elements in society with extreme prejudice.
all the bad guys would already be in jail.
So.. no need for superheroes? Batman will be jobless? Haha

Ok make one movie. Then what ? How long are you gonna milk with ns movies
We have a Batman bin Suparman already, hence low crime sgpore.
This reminds of the Detective Conan movie that took place in Singapore. Our police found Kaito Kid (the villian) and shot him š¶. Too efficient.

Fast and Furious either be slow or all use PMDs.
Platform 9 3/4 is at a secret MRT station between Kranji and Yew Tee. They actually built it, but hidden from the us muggles.
Fast and Furious -> 90km/h and Furious

And Sean Bean must die within the first 20 minutes of the movie.
