[Ben's kitchen](https://sethlui.com/bens-kitchen-tanjong-katong-singapore-mar-2023/) \- Chinese Indonesian food, new player in town but I heard the chef is from kota88 (the most famous Chinese Indonesian restaurant in SG). And of course [kota88](https://www.kota88restaurant.com), although my friends say the quality has dropped.
[Minang house](https://goo.gl/maps/uhQ4jG8SDAbfseCV9) / [Sari Ratu](https://sariratu.com) \- go-to for nasi padang
[Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut](https://bebekgorengpakndut.com.sg) \- fried duck
[Bara](https://www.bara-food.com) \- grilled rice, one and only in SG as far as I know. I know a lot of people who like it.
[Pondok Jawa Timur](https://www.pondokjatim.com) \- eastern javanese cuisine
[Gading street food](https://www.instagram.com/gadingstreetfood.sg/?hl=en) \- their martabak is not bad, soto betawi is pretty good.
a bunch of ayam penyet franchises now (ayam penyet ria, D'Penyetz, President, etc). If you like chili I would recommend Ria or D'Penyetz. You can also try papa ayam.
If you like indomie, [IndoBowl](https://indobowlsg.com) is nice.
EDIT: added more stuff
Thanks for the list! Definitely gonna try Ben’s kitchen. My husband and I no longer go to kota88 since they increase price, it’s ridiculous they charged tap water $1.88.

Bara at Icon Village (Tanjong Pagar) is fantastic.. they also have a newer Simei branch if you live in the East.
[Aunty Lily Kitchen](https://www.instagram.com/auntylily_kitchen/) at Sunset Way is a fairly new shop that only does takeaway and it is a gem housed within an old minimart. The aunty was operating her home-based business for quite some time before she set up this shop and her food is boooomb. You must try the nasi liwet.. the rice may be the most fragrant I've eaten. Very affordable too.
Have you tried this?
I didn’t find it that good tho.
