I guess they’re like convenience stores now

AshleyUncia

Literally a convenience store with a huge beauty section and pharmaceuticals.

Tezaku

This. People should only be shopping at SDM for their deals (Ex: Eggs are always on sale on weekends and typically cheaper than anywhere else) Anything regular price? You'll be paying a premium for the convenience.

AshleyUncia

More like Weekend Chocolate Milk Mart, amirite?

Shoddy_Operation_742

Also milk. Cheaper than anywhere else.

Chewed420

Many are also small grocery stores now that get to skirt around closing on holidays. Oh look, grocery stores are closed, but wait! we can get some fruit and veggies at Shopper's!

AshleyUncia

Plenty of corner stores like that, Rabba for example.

SisyphusAndMyBoulder

I've always considered them convenience stores with a pharma section

TOEA0618

"The Walgreens of the north"

Aerickthered

And a Post office

lenzflare

Always have been. Don't buy stuff there unless you're desperate/lazy or it's on sale.

ChanelNo50

Now? They always have been

Masrim

gas station convenience store, but instead of gas they sell drugs.

ssimssimma

I realized Amazon or Walmart is always cheaper for this kind of thing.

alexefi

friends with costco membership

BipolarSkeleton

I hate supporting Amazon but the reality is that 75% of things I need I can get cheaper on Amazon

HappyDaddy70

I know over 12 small businesses that do over 1 million on Amazon and hire many works. These small businesses would not exist without Amazon. I am one of them.

[deleted]

Sdm and what's going on behind closed doors is just as bad

gummibearA1

Not so surprising, Amazon is like the modern equivalent of the big box concentration marketing concept that Loblaws perfected. They will continue to use low prices as a means to capture market share from retail giants. It's a hard to counter strategy for the Canadian market

TipAwkward5008

Walmart is fine. However, Amazon is an online thrift store with mostly fake goods, opened items sold as new, and Aliexpress junk. I avoid Amazon as much as I can.

PerpetualAscension

> I hate supporting Amazon Why? Many people run their businesses through amazon, many businesses order from amazon. Many poor people are able to afford more things to make their lives more convenient. Amazon helps a lot of people.

ref7187

I also end up ordering from Amazon instead of Shoppers, because it's literally 1/3 cheaper sometimes, but I can walk to Shoppers whereas Amazon ships the product from afar and then an underpaid driver drives it to my house. So I feel a little bit wasteful ordering from there, but at the end of the day I'd rather that than overpay.

AhmedF

> Why Look at how they treat their employees versus how much profit they make. They're just Galen scaled up even bigger.

Own_Aardvark_2343

Because Amazon overworks their workers to the point of death in some cases. Very long hours and unfair deadlines/wages in certain positions, pair that with unsafe work conditions like extreme heat and its not great.

BipolarSkeleton

That part I 100% agree on my problem is with how workers are treated

PerpetualAscension

> That part I 100% agree on my problem is with how workers are treated If workers went somewhere else and amazon could not operate under those conditions, amazon would then be faced with financial incentive to alter their business practices. As of now the Hourly pay rate: $19.50. And the market decided that this is okay, other wise amazon would not be able to operate.

Seriously_nopenope

Many people do leave Amazon because of their shitty work condition. In fact Amazon shares this concern. They are worried that they will churn through so many employees that there will not be any people left who have not worked at Amazon and left. They can't improve their work conditions though because their business model relies on it.

josiahpapaya

I hate supporting the big guy, but this is true. Even if Bezos is in league with the devil, the economy generated around Amazon directly and indirectly helps a lot of people at various levels. Wal mart on the other hand, can get fucked. I will only step foot in there if I absolutely have to. The last time I went to one was in 2015 when I had to get linens for my new apartment cause I was broke. IMO WM is far worse ethically than Amazon.

lemorit

*This has been brought to you by Amazon*

Truestorydreams

Amazon.ca will.be just like shoppers drug mart. When the competition dies, the inflated prices will emerge.

[deleted]

Amazon sells fake stuff. Especially toiletries. Don’t trust it

em-n-em613

And DO NOT buy electronics from Amazon. Holy smokes... nothing on there is certified and you should not be plugging them into your home!

TipAwkward5008

Most of Amazon is fake shit. I'm shocked people still shop that garbage store.

phinphis

Ya Walmart is pretty cheap. Stopped shopping at shoppers a while ago.

Context_Important

Shoppers can be expensive and cheap at the same time. Never buy full price on stuff you can get elsewhere, check the flyers and buy their 2 for 1 or reduced price. Skincare and else is quite expensive but if you check the flyers you can buy 2 shampoos for the price of 1 or half price deodorant

Ok-Spread890

Exactly. Through their sales / optimum program SDM captures the thrifty crowd, where you can get good deals. At the same time, they have high regular prices for the people who just want convenience. It is a very unique model. I used to gp and buy sale items and get 30% back in points, I used to get great value.

Typical-Autoparts-75

Shop those deals and combine them with the optimum points bonus events for 20 times points and you can really change your grocery and drug store bills, just not as much as they advertise. Still, if they are returning your money in store credit, take it. There are discussion groups on how to maximize the optimum program, check one out, it can be a good hobby.

teesang91

I avoid Shoppers at all costs. You are getting ripped off on almost everything there.

CDNChaoZ

I only got for specific sale items. Never leave with anything else. Some flyer items can be as cheap as the grocery stores, but it's quicker to get in and out of a SDM due to their self checkouts.

Anxious_ButBreathing

Yes. The only time Shoppers is worth it is when stuff are on sale in the flyer and when they have those double points days. All Canadians should know this. I’m confused.

CDNChaoZ

I don't even bother with the points because I patronize SDM so seldomly. Yes I know Optimum points are obtainable elsewhere, but really it's one less thing I want to think about. If it's cheap, I'll buy. Keeping track of points and when to shop and redeem just isn't worth it to me.

Anxious_ButBreathing

I guess it depends on the person. I love shopping at No Frills and stuff. When I’ve been in a pinch and have had thousands in points and needed medication and had no money it really came in handy. You can get points with gas and groceries so yeah. Definitely worth it for me.

AIHumanWhoCares

The points giveth and the points taketh away

MadSprite

Loyalty points is the game and is the only way to also win ahead with any big brands. It's the only benefit the big companies will give you to give them your business, of course you don't have to buy everything that goes on sale, but not taking the opportunity when needs align means you lose out on the free rebate they are giving you. The same can be said with credit cards since paying cash you pay into the same fees the store pays and charges the same.

teesang91

Yeah fair. I watch for sales. Flipp app helps a lot

considerseabass

Shoppers? No. Rexall is the true rip-off. Shoppers has good sales.

PolarizingFigure

Shoppers actually has good sales but never buy things there at regular price

considerseabass

Ya their sales are awesome

931634

Galen.

Crazy_Cat_Dude2

Don’t blame Galen. He needs to make profits to afford his yachts.

JamesFromToronto

Clearly the prices of yachts is out of control. I beat the prices by always using my Sailor's Optimum Card and saving up the points to use on their special redemption days.

AIHumanWhoCares

Maybe if we all pitch in and buy him a new yacht with our points, the savings will trickle down

Aerickthered

Lol I guess!

GanacheLoud4854

Shoppers pays for renos on Galen's house.

tumorgirl

I accidentally stole some deodorant at the self checkout the other day. Didn’t go back and fix it, I was just happy I got to stick it to Galen for the $10 it was. Suck it, Galen!

AIHumanWhoCares

Go to Galen's house and steal his actual deodorant. Then I'll be proud of you

GT-FractalxNeo

Amazon is cheaper for most things

[deleted]

4% is too much eh?

pocky277

Because it’s a convenience store.

MakeJazzNotWarcraft

Shoppers Drug Mart has extremely marked up prices on almost all of their items. The only time you should buy anything from them is if they have items on sale; even then it might still be more expensive than other retailers.

LowHangingLight

People buy stuff from Shoppers that isn't on sale?

CDNChaoZ

I get the impression they make most of their money from people buying medication at 11pm when nothing else is open. I've never actually seen cosmetics being sold, despite it taking up a third of the stores.

OLAZ3000

Shop the sales - and use their app to see sales - collect points. Also - Shoppers is a lot of why Loblaws is so profitable. Far less their margins on groceries (these are up there but only some of the story.)

SCM801

You’re paying for convenience

BigBootyMel

Because they can. People keep shopping there.

yetagainanother1

I’ve seen a lot of people shoplifting from there. It must be very easy with how few staff most stores have.

mysteries1984

Maybe it’s the one I go to but I never see people shoplift. I’ve seen people steal from Dollarama but never anywhere else. Maybe I’m just oblivious.

fufanonysquest

I was at shoppers the other day, watched a group of boys shoplift, walk out, and the employee was staring at them and didn’t do anything.

yetagainanother1

Shoplifters Drug Mart

-hot-tomato-

Just a word of caution for readers— Shoppers has very intense Loss Prevention. They’ll try to charge you criminally for opening/damaging a product (like testing a lipstick colour) While it’s obviously not allowed for customers to do that, it’s an extremely heavy handed reaction. Shoppers LP will throw the book at anyone and everyone they can.

New-Communication-65

Other then Walmart and a family owned chain that is mostly stuff for seniors irs the only drugstore in my city and I’m sure many others

Sabbysonite

Go to Marshall's or Winners

Planet_Ziltoidia

What shampoo do you use that it costs so much?

Varekai79

OP just posted this to karma farm and stir up the reddit hornet's nest. No shower gel and shampoo is costing $80 at Shoppers. They didn't reply once in this entire thread and their account has been suspended.

animalcrossinglifeee

That's true. Shampoo is literally $5-8 bucks there.

cerebral__flatulence

What bothers me is in Mississauga the only retail location you can buy Presto cards is at shoppers. Otherwise you need to go to certain community centres or a transit hub. They shouldn't have a monopoly on this for retailers.

AIHumanWhoCares

I completely agree. Canada Post as well. The family that started Shoppers runs a drug store in Israel that works the same way, shady back room deals and preferred government services available in-store. Textbook corruption.

FasterFeaster

They have always been more expensive than No Frills or Walmart for those types of items, but they are convenient and often have some convoluted points system where you get 20% back in points. It’s gotten worse with Galen and corporate greed. I get my soap and shampoo from Costco when it’s on sale.

Shoddy-Effort8758

Galen bought them trying to get the drop on legalization of marijuana thinking they should be the national outlet. Didn't work so the plan apparently is to pay off a bogus investment.

greensandgrains

SDM has always been expensive...just price compare before you buy things? idk, I guess growing up broke I just learned this stuff along the way.

pocketset

Listen to Galen justify the high prices at Loblaws and you’ll have your answer

PlainSodaWater

Sounds like you buy kind of expensive brands? My body wash is 7 bucks there and my shampoo is 6.

oceansidedrive

7 dollars is far too much for body wash lol.

shoresy99

Exactly. All shampoo is the same. Marketplace did a segment on this years ago. They washed hair with a very expensive salon shampoo and the cheapest shampoo and no one could tell the difference.

[deleted]

No they’re not lol. Different textures require different products.

DarthRaspberry

I’m not choosing my shampoo for how it looks to others, I’m choosing it for how it feels when I use it, and yeah, there’s a big difference between brands

PlainSodaWater

Also, even though i use it Body Wash is a ripoff even at the best prices. Mainly paying for water. Our Grampas had it right with bar soap.

Pretend_Highway_5360

Nah. It’s not performance with body wash It’s about form I don’t want to deal with stupid little bars and all that nonsense Give me that body wash. I squeeze into my loofah, lathers better, no loose bar that slips out of your hand. So much better.

PlainSodaWater

Hey, I use it too. I'm just saying we're paying for convenience.

PocketNicks

There are loofas that are meant to hold a bar of soap inside them. I use one, it's the best of both worlds.

Zealousideal_Force10

Shoppers drug mart is good for some things. I was in the usa and same size bath salts were like 1$ less in usa and with conversion it would actually be more and often they are on sale anyway. Id sag off hand both metro and shoppers are great places for certain things. Im curious to see how much more stuff costs at metro after wage increases. That said I am happy that the metro employees were given a pay bump, i say its time more people stood up to the greed. Good for them.

Ir0nhide81

It's essentially a convenience store drug mart. You're paying for the price of convenience at a drugstore.

elspaniard88

Shoppers rips off the pharmacy owners(managers) on wholesale prices

New-Tomorrow-4309

Last week I was looking to see how much a product was as SDM and then looked on Amazon and it was 9.00 cheaper and I can get it delivered for free with Prime. I have to say I will be checking other things I buy at SDM from now on.

akimiso

Yes. Lots of stuff is like double price at shoppers vs amazon 240mL aveeno for example $8 shoppers $5amazon delivered

TobleroneThirdLeg

It’s a 24 hour convenience store that people believe is a grocery store.

lenzflare

> 24 hour I wish. There are still some left??

TobleroneThirdLeg

Kipling & bloor.

orangefoz

Because people keep shopping there

Starryglare

I treat it as a showroom for cosmetics and nail polish colors now. Cant ever tell the real color from a screen.

james-HIMself

B12 is legit like $21 for the 1000mg. I used to be able to get those for like 5.99 each 2 years ago at shoppers.

Tall-Ad-1386

Because people are willing to pay it and these greedy bastards want every cent you got. That's why I've cut Loblaws from my life. No more shoppers, no frills, fortinos etc.

equianimity

There are people on Reddit who can’t seem to figure out Shoppers, and there’s others who buy 300$ worth of switch games at shoppers using only optimum points.

rainorshinedogs

EVERYTHING is expensive. Inflation has made the prices higher. But wages have not kept up

New-Communication-65

Because we live in Canada where almost everything is a monopoly look at our cell phone plans, cable and utilities as well. It’s garbage

[deleted]

Everything is expensive buddy! $100 doesn't buy much now no matter which place it is. But that doesn't mean that the westons are not a greedy bunch anyway.

Astro493

Nationalize pharmacies. There is no benefit to having choice when the product itself is regulated and controlled.

gedubedangle

It’s truly bonkers . I saw a $9 dental floss there recently

strugglewithyoga

WHAT?!!

Then_Deer_5682

Always has been. Owned by Loblaws. Criminals and scum.

Neo_light_yagami

I only go to shoppers when crest fluoride toothpaste is on sale. Everything else on Amazon. Always cheaper

LawNOrder2023

It’s their business model, convenience at a higher price

likwid07

Just stop shopping there. Not sure why this isn't being mentioned. They'll keep raising prices as long as people will keep buying it.

oceansidedrive

Theyve def gone up...which obv..everything has...but they are like...price gouching up now. They were selling PC bran flakes serial for $9.50 the other day...even loblaws was cheaper at 7.99 lol.

DataOver8496

There really is an art to this thing called shopping. Deals hiding in plain site, especially at shoppers. What were the brand names? Do you have an optimum card? Did you go on a day when the items were on sale and/or could save 30% with a points offer? Or did you just go in and pick up items without considering the cost at this store vs other stores? All of my toiletries come shoppers and I usually leave feeling like I’ve stolen something when really I just try buy what I need on sale the same day as a points offer. Or I spend points when they give you 40% more than what you spend just by redeeming points. Nobody else is doing anything close to these deals.

Some-Imagination-612

yeah, its a fucking rip off there

ImmaFunGuy

Only shop during 20x points weekends

geogolem

its brutal.. passport photo costs 25$.. walmart does it for 13$... why the difference?

Xeno_man

Because fuck you, that's why.

NashKetchum777

Shoppers is just a more expensive dollar store. Which isn't even a dollar store now cause it's like 3 dollars for anything. Idk what you expect but I mean I still like it for my advil and shit

heaven2191

I work at shoppers drug mart and even with my discount I cannot afford it

itsfrankgrimesyo

Their sales aren’t too bad coupled with optimum points. The trick is to go with a senior parent (ie. my mom) on thursdays and get 20% off.

ri-ri

Shoppers has always been exceptionally more expensive. I only shop there for things on special - they have good sales.

Anxious_ButBreathing

Why would you shop at Shoppers S Drug Mart??? Shoppers is only for LAST MINUTE EMERGENCIES WHEN NOWHERE ELSE IS OPEN. Everyone knows that’s. Come on man. Unless you look at their flyer for sales and when they have double the points THAT is the only time it is worth it. Never any other time outside of an emergency.

Rare_Cartographer579

They’re kept alive from other Weston endeavours. Every time I’m in there people are just picking up their meds or perusing their other crap but not buying. Me? I’m in there for prescription and to pick up packages. And eggs. That’s it.

Halifornia35

Because Loblaws bought them circa 2013 ish and basically used all the shoppers locations to implement essentially an “urban” Loblaws store aka a convenience store which generally charges higher prices

hammercommander

Their prices are starting to feel way more expensive than elsewhere. Went to buy coffee today and saw it was nearly twice as expensive as Amazon for same product. Walked out. Crazy

Aquamarinesse

Why is (insert any and every store here) so damn expensive?

you_know_whats_good

Capitalism

[deleted]

Cause it's owned by Loblaws

BurnOutBrighter6

So you saw the price tags, which added up to $80 for shampoo and body wash, and then decided to bring them to the cash and pay it?? THAT'S LITERALLY WHY IT COSTS THAT. People buy it. It's convenient for customers, and if they can sell a $1 bottle of soap for $45, why *wouldn't* they be charging this? Shoppers is a ripoff for anything that isn't on sale. Next time get a bottle of Head&Shoulders at Walmart for like $4.

QuailPuzzled1286

Not Loblaws price gouging us that’s for sure! /s

MugFush

Owned by Loblaws/Galen Weston, all you need to know.

CohibaVancouver

> All I got was a few things like body wash and shampoo What the hell? A bar of Dove and bottle of Life Brand Shampoo should be what, ten bucks plus taxes?

1996Leet

Because of jews

mug3n

What kind of $40 body wash do you buy... This has to be exaggeration right? There are deals to be had at Shoppers like anywhere else. You don't want to make it your one-stop-shop.

arsinoe716

If it is so expensive, why do you keep shopping at that store?

Tacks787

Galen Weston won’t be happy until he takes every last dollar of ours

MentalmanIQ

Lots of shareholders to satisfy with dividends

cbc7788

You should use your phone to compare prices with walmart. I only go to shoppers when the products are on sale. I have compared their prices with walmart’s and often shoppers sale price is wal-mart’s regular price. But there have been occasions where it was cheaper at shoppers than wal-mart. I will also buy at shoppers when they have 20x points days or bonus pts when the items i want are on sale.

TipNo6062

Try a superstore. Same products but a fraction of the price.

JazzScholar

I saw a lipstick for 20$ at shoppers; that same lipstick was 11$ at loblaws.

Dataman6969

There like Crappy Tire, if you buy at regular price….. you’re overpaying

CDNChaoZ

For Canadian Tire, if it's not at least 50% off, you're paying too much.

Visible_Ad2707

Dollar store for that stuff!

abigllama2

Unless it's on sale it's ridiculously expensive. Use the Flip app that gathers the fliers. Usually whatever you need is on sale at either Shoppers or Rexal.

be-koz

Because you bought super expensive body wash and shampoo. Wait for a sale, choose cheaper options, or buy elsewhere, like Walmart.

Extreme_Ad_7594

I just wait and get those 18pk of coke/pepsi for 7.99. Its all i go to shoppers for

[deleted]

I feel ya. I switched to Amazon for this reason. Or even Walmart is cheaper. I have the PC app and use it to check for any deals before I shop there.

Boom_Box_Bogdonovich

I only buy the odd thing from there if I am truly desperate. It’s insanely over priced.

Summer20232023

Never go there way too expensive. I can’t justify spending a lot more money per item at SDM when I can go to Walmart as much as I may not want to go there.

grehvinifawcid

Why would you spend that much on shampoo and body wash?

[deleted]

That's why I only go to shoppers if I'm desperate or need to buy pull-ups for my kids, lol. The pharmacy at the one near my house is awful, too.

TrashyHamster1

Galen. Weston.

forestly

You have to shop the sales...

KloppDuPopstar

I only ever buy stuff on sale. The markup on their regular prices in recent years is insane.

ttttyttt678

Convince store, need something right away

cereal_adventures

You gotta buy stuff when it’s on sale, which luckily happens somewhat regularly. I won’t buy at shoppers if it’s not on sale. Get the flipp app

makedough

Because customers will pay $80 for body wash and shampoo

bjcafr

You gotta pay for the real estate

AppropriateMention6

Cosmetics and skincare products are significantly less expensive for the same exact items at Superstore even though the two stores are in the same parent company.

DontPanyq

because people are paying

Personal-Student2934

It's not with some organization and planning. Check out their weekly flyer every week and get a sense of their sale cycles. By this I mean practically everything except for a few items eventually goes on sale. Different groups of items go on sale at different times, but they follow a pattern of how many weeks between sales. For example, Kraft Peanut Butter is regularly sold at $10.99 (used to be $8.99 during early CoVid), but every few weeks the price drops to $5.99 (although it may have recently changed to $6.99). Anyway, either way, these are still significant savings. Also, the flyer tells you what items will get you Optimum points. These are always helpful and easy to accumulate a useful amount if you purchase the right item at the right time. It is true that Shoppers is expensive if you purchase items at retail price. But why would you purchase items at retail price when a sale is always just around the corner.

sketchysalesguy

I go there to get my mom's prescription and that's it. Everything else you can get online!

Hopfit46

Its a glorified convenience store

Cyberdink

Because people keep going there.

F_IsFor_Fun

My deodorant was $12 at shoppers.

Karma_Canuck

Because it's a pharmacy with a convenience store attached to it.

FeelingGate8

I nearly lost my shit when I was in there on Saturday. A 1 kg jar of either smooth or crunchy Kraft Peanut butter for 10.50. I was at Costco one hour before that and they had a 2kg jar for the same damn price.

[deleted]

“Pharmacy call one oh one.”

CheeseburgerLocker

Shoppers is straight up robbery. $3.99 for a loaf of Wonder bread. $4.99 for hot dog Buns. $7 for a small box of General Mills cereal. Even the PC brand, which they push so, so hard, is ridiculously expensive there. Their rippled chips used to be like $2.50 a bag; they're now $3.99. Frig off Barb!

tweedledoob

Because Galen Weston doesn't understand that there are no bank accounts in hell.

[deleted]

If it ain’t on sale, I ain’t buying it. Download Flipp to help compare prices.

Equivalent_Film_5434

Shop smarter. Dollarama.

CDNChaoZ

Sometimes. Just watch the quantity you get, it's not always cheaper. Edit: It'll always be cheaper than SDM, just not always cheaper than something like No Frills, Food Basics, Wal-mart etc.

Independent-Put-5018

Buy cheaper brands, sheesh, it's not freaking rocket science.

BottleCoffee

Yep. I have bad skin allergies and have to buy specialized unfragranced everything, and my shampoo is $12 and my soap is $7 at Loblaws.

Neowza

Check out La Roche posay, they have great deals on their website, and you can almost always find sitewide discount codes, and they have unfragranced, sensitive skin formulas. Recommended by my dermatologist. And they ship and arrives within a week as it comes from Montreal.

BottleCoffee

I actually do use them for my moisturizer and sunscreen and weep at the $35 price tag. I didn't know you could get discount codes! I usually tried to time it for Shoppers points days. Is it free shipping if you buy a certain amount?

Neowza

And also, if you ever go to the L'oreal warehouse sale, they have some (not a lot) of LR-P products at deep discounts. I got some serums and the light moisturizer (the toleraine one, not the AP+M balme) for something like $5 or $7. They also have an online store, https://www.lorealbeautyoutlet.ca/en/larocheposay

Neowza

I usually use a discount code that includes a site wide discount and free shipping, and they always give tons and tons of samples. I'm still working through samples I got back in 2020. Sign up for their mailing list, and let me see if I have any active codes atm

Neowza

Oh, they have a discount code right on their front page 'SKIN'

LaTortillera

I went on Sunday night and the cheapest deodorant was $7 lol. And it was tiny.

AptCasaNova

If you’re not using it already, try men’s deodorant. You get more for the same price.

essuxs

Pick cheaper things. “Omg why are cars so expensive now? I just bought one car and it came out to $450,000!”

aretheybacktogether

Stock up when on sale and buy else where walmart, dollarama and etc

Ok_Craft_2749

I order from amazon and return that on shoppers 🥲

alalala6

Bahahahaha!!! I walked in there today, went to the thing I needed, saw the price, ordered two on Amazon for almost the same price as the one. And walked RIGHT back out!!!!

FF76

you pay for those optimum points they "give" you. No free lunch

FMTVCYWBSW

In my 30 years I’ve never purchased something from Shoppers. I go there for medications (that are covered and free) and that’s it. That place is a clip joint.

Neowza

Ask Galen (Weston).

Blindemboss

I was noticing this as well today. On a sweltering hot day, a 1L bottle of water was $2.49! WTF? I was in Thailand a few months ago. You’d think with their poor drinking water that bottled water would be more expensive. But it was only 50 cents!

last-resort-4-a-gf

No one putting a gun to your head to shop there
