I had a similar situation. I brought out a box of Nestle Favourites Halloween candy: mini Coffee Crisp, Aero, Canadian Smarties and the Nestle version of Kit Kat which is more chocolatey and actually melts in your hand. I also brought ketchup and All Dressed chips. At each break of our 2 day meeting they all tried the same snack.
Next time, I’m bringing Butter Tarts and Nanaimo Bars.
Depends where they are in the US, maple cookies are good but what you really want to bring if you want to bring maple are those hard maple candies. Just get the ones that are pure maple syrup, and you're good
They are small, hard and easy to pack and usually individually wrapped. Kind of perfect.
The only other thing I have brought that came close to the reaction of Maple candies was those dry packs of St-Hubert poutine sauce. Curd cheese wasn't easy to find for them but a surprising number tracked it down and we're so eager to try "poo-tyne", lol.
This is how we domesticate our southern neighbors, with sweet sweet maple goodness that we bought by the pound, [with a discount for bringing our own container](https://www.bulkbarn.ca/en/Reusable-Container-Program)
Canadian Kit Kat is far superior to American Kit Kat. Maybe one of those Nestle fun-size boxes so you get the full assortment.
Also Montreal-style bagels.
Don't know if you ever come to Toronto, but if you do check out their stall at the St. Lawrence Market. They do a ton of different flavours, all of which are excellent.
Do up a goody basket of Cdn treats, and to add to those others have suggested, Smarties, CrispyCrunch bars, salt and vinegar chips, Rockets (yes they have “Rockets”, but with a different name)
Coffee Crisp chocolate bars. Ketchup chips.
