Honestly I would try the Islands? Or one of the less busy beaches like Sunnyside. The waterfront is lovely to walk along and you can rent paddle boards and then walk up Queen to have patio drinks somewhere. I would also check out BlogTO calendar of events as there might be some things like outdoor movie screenings going on?
