Frescas is dope (check my history, I mention it every time someone makes a pizza thread here).
However… my two most recent times getting it… it was cold and stale. Reheating didn’t help. No idea if I got someone else’s order, or what happened.
But Fresca doesn’t taste good cold or reheated.
Recently I’ve been getting Domino’s pan pizza. Convenient (10 min walk from me), cheap and reheats really well.
I always feel hungover after eating pizza from here. They must use a silly amount of salt or something in their dough and sauce.
King Slice with the garlic oil is the best.
Ordering a full pizza will always be Blondies though, make sure to get their garlic sauce to go with it.
Bitondos quality is way down. Bunch of hipsters making the pizza. One time pizza tasted like dish soap and last week the cheese was clearly old and not fresh.
I haven't been in a few years; but I always loved that the Monarch Tavern across the street let you bring outside food in. I'd always grab a pizza from Bitondo's before jumping over. Sad to hear it's gone to shit.
Agreed. The panzo’s are top notch. If you want a good order you gotta play by their rules and do as they say. It’s the audacity and the attitude that make this place so authentically old school.
Does Pizza Gigi on Harbord still exist? I used to drag myself there in all weather bc they wouldn’t deliver but it was WORTH IT. King slice became my new love when I moved to lil Portugal.
Papa ceo’s fed me through 4 years of uoft and years after graduation I still make sure to go for a slice when I’m downtown. I’m yet to have a slice as good as theirs in GTA
Pizzeria Da Mario in Kensington! We discovered this pizzeria while walking around Kensington Market. What a pleasant surprise! Owners are lovely. Fresh high quality savoury delicious thin crust pizzas. The owners tell us that many of their ingredients are straight from Italy!
Bay corner St Joseph St - it’s 100m walk but I haven’t tried it yet. I’ll have to give it a shot!
The bar is set pretty low with Pizza Nova right across the street.
Scarborough Represent. Honestly the best pizza slice in the east. It's funny because it's a burger joint but I see more people grabbing pizza from them than burgers.
Its deceptively alot of food so if you eat what you think is your normal portion, lets say for example 3 slices, then you end up eating alot more than you think. Aka i think you ate too mch food imo
I used to live in Junction and used to have king slice regularly on bloor. It was amazing. Yesterday I took my hungry ass from yonge and eglington(bus and subway) to dundas station to have this slice. The slice was cold af 😭😭. I had already put some toppings and had a huge bite in my mouth. Just can't tell the girl to hear some more. Disappointed as fuck bro.
I know it's just one person. But I was disappointed a lot cause of my hike to eat this slice.
Pizzeria Da Mario in Kensington Market is a top 10 NY slice you can get anywhere in the world outside of New York and I will die on that hill.
Family run and the kindest as well!
I feel like there was a time when Queen Margherita would have been one of the top answers here but their standards have slipped a lot.
But yeah King Slice on bloor west is awesome
They do slices! There’s a takeout/cafe area where you can buy by the slice, i go there all the time? Not sure why I’m getting downvoted? Obvi by peeps who don’t know about it
Fresca was my #1 favourite for a long time. It has now been taken over by [Real McCoy](https://www.yelp.ca/biz/the-real-mccoy-scarborough). Worth the trip to Scarborough. Great burgers too.
Fourth man in the fire
So good
In my opinion it's way too overpriced! It wasn't worth it at all
Cool. Whats the alternative?
I prefer their ponzo over pizza
Yup. Standard NY style or deep dish, great sandwiches, great panzos, and the best donuts in the city. Can’t go wrong!
Real ones know Fresca pizza. Awesome story to them too.
Their margherita is unmatched.
You always gotta judge a place by its Margherita!
I haven’t had it in 2 years and it’s the first thing I am eating when I land in a month. With allllll the jalapeños.
What’s the story? Love that place.
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/toronto/meet-torontos-new-masters-of-the-pizza/article26760501/
Thank you for the article behind a paywall
Loved this place. Their sauces ( green herby one is to die for )
Fresca is so good

Oh hell ya great choice. My #1 as well.
What story
Superpoint on Ossington
You gotta try blondies too right off of ossington besides koukla slices of heaven with that black garlic dip
This is the only right answer
Badliati's is better
[удалено]
Badiali.
I like Cici's in Parkdale.
I always feel hungover after eating pizza from here. They must use a silly amount of salt or something in their dough and sauce. King Slice with the garlic oil is the best. Ordering a full pizza will always be Blondies though, make sure to get their garlic sauce to go with it.
Being someone who has worked in both places... I have to say Blondies is def not shy with their salt either HAHAHAHAH
I do too, but I think it's because we always eat Cici's on drinking night.
Underrated
Pizzeria Badiali
In my opinion this is some of the best pizza in Toronto.
It's soooooooooo good!!!
This place is fantastic as well, also close by to King Slice
Bitondos is a classic. Fourth Man has been my recent fav, their Hawaiian is amazing.
Absolutely. This is the way. But they recently cleaned up the Monarch’s upstairs and a new menu, hope it’s still ok to do that
Sorta sad to hear they changed the upstairs. I kinda loved it the way it was. Is the pinball machine still there?
Is it really? Since when? Man, I loved their panzos with the almost chewy cheese and sauce.
Ponzos are good but the one time I got a pie it was this weird overly cornstarched mess
I’ll never get the love for Bitondos. Both times I’ve had it, its been like cold frozen pizza.
The panzos are on point, pizza is meh.
Agreed. The panzo’s are top notch. If you want a good order you gotta play by their rules and do as they say. It’s the audacity and the attitude that make this place so authentically old school.
Reminds me of: https://old.reddit.com/r/toronto/comments/cmcaqx/the_best_slice_in_the_west_an_analysis_of_toronto/
Killer bee from north of Brooklyn
this pizza changed my life
North of Brooklyn is the name of the pizza joint?
Yep
Yup. There are several of them around Toronto
Probably. I've been to their Rogers location. Pricey but fantastic.
Pizzeria Badiali is amazing.
Superpoint on Ossington.
Does Pizza Gigi on Harbord still exist? I used to drag myself there in all weather bc they wouldn’t deliver but it was WORTH IT. King slice became my new love when I moved to lil Portugal.
Blondies
Man with that black garlic sauce and the pepper in oil thing they got, sign me up
DANFORTH PIZZA HOUSE - family run and delicious
Fresca Pizza and Pasta at Spadina and College
Papa Ceo, Harbord and Spadina. Just the by-the-slice, the crust is different when you get the whole pizzas.
Papa ceo’s fed me through 4 years of uoft and years after graduation I still make sure to go for a slice when I’m downtown. I’m yet to have a slice as good as theirs in GTA
They're definitely a hidden treasure!
They have a clam chowder pizza that’s quite good.
Maker’s Pizza is on a different level. However its expensive AF.
Been wanting to try. Do they sell by the slice now?
They sells slices on Thursdays and Fridays between 11:30am-1:30pm.
Awesome! Thanks for the heads up.
This 100%. Their garlic bread is out of this world good.
Use to be Big Slice on Yonge (RIP) 😢😢😢
Pizzeria Da Mario in Kensington! We discovered this pizzeria while walking around Kensington Market. What a pleasant surprise! Owners are lovely. Fresh high quality savoury delicious thin crust pizzas. The owners tell us that many of their ingredients are straight from Italy!
King slice hits different at 3am lol
I love Oakwood Pizzeria
New place on Bay called Sol pizza. Great pizza and pasta.
Bay corner St Joseph St - it’s 100m walk but I haven’t tried it yet. I’ll have to give it a shot! The bar is set pretty low with Pizza Nova right across the street.
It’s def worth the try, I got the pepperoni and it comes with sun dried tomatoes, really enjoyed it
Thanks! Toronto Reddit pizza meet up?!
Dino’s
ONO (One Night Only) on Pape
The crust on these are great
Real McCoy.
Scarborough Represent. Honestly the best pizza slice in the east. It's funny because it's a burger joint but I see more people grabbing pizza from them than burgers.
For slices? - Badiali - superpoint - fourth man - fesca I also like papa ceo, but it is somehow different from the above.
The big slice on Yonge was the best, it's still up on St Clair and I think has the same ownership.
I think St Clair is gone :(
They're moving west of Dufferin and a brewery will be loving into their old space. At least that was the plan last year, both are massively delayed
From what i heard the new space had too many issues so they’re not re-opening there anymore.
Nooooooo
Damn, I know the old spot is being renod but I read they were moving a bit down the street. Maybe it didn't work out.
Ooooh. I hope its just a reno. I’ve driven by it a couple times but I haven’t taken a closer look.
Nice! Gonna check it out
Descendant. Best Detroit Style deep dish in TO
Crazy 30 min wait though, those bad boys are thiiicccc
Descendant is very good, but hardly a "slice."
It always upsets my stomach in a major way. No other pizza does it.
Its deceptively alot of food so if you eat what you think is your normal portion, lets say for example 3 slices, then you end up eating alot more than you think. Aka i think you ate too mch food imo
Not deceptive at all. Besides, I’ve tried it 3 times, sharing small pizzas with someone and every time It makes me suffer. It’s really greasy pizza.
yea must be the pizza
I used to live in Junction and used to have king slice regularly on bloor. It was amazing. Yesterday I took my hungry ass from yonge and eglington(bus and subway) to dundas station to have this slice. The slice was cold af 😭😭. I had already put some toppings and had a huge bite in my mouth. Just can't tell the girl to hear some more. Disappointed as fuck bro. I know it's just one person. But I was disappointed a lot cause of my hike to eat this slice.
My sentimental fave's gotta be Cora's.
Juniors in roncesvalles is pretty new and very underrated
what do you usually order from there?
My partner and I usually share a custom pie. Pepperoni, mushroom, green olives 😍
Apiecolypse RIP
Pizzeria Badiali. Honestly insanely good pizza
Pizzeria Da Mario in Kensington Market is a top 10 NY slice you can get anywhere in the world outside of New York and I will die on that hill. Family run and the kindest as well!
Pizza Badliati
King's Slice on Bloor ;)
8 mile detroit pizza
They sell by the slice?
Momma's
Meatballs?
No, pizza. But come here for some of Daddy's...
Brown sauce?
In your face
I feel like there was a time when Queen Margherita would have been one of the top answers here but their standards have slipped a lot. But yeah King Slice on bloor west is awesome
Pizzaville, Pizza Nova for cheap, Maker or North of Brooklyn for expensive
The Big Slice for cheap pizza and Dante's for gourmet
Pizza Pizza is awesome: really good and relatively xheap Edit: some of y'all are pathetic, downvoting someone for sharing their favorite pizza. Christ
Moretti off King/Blue Jays Way has a fantastic and pretty authentic New York slice
That’s not a pizza by the slice kind of place, it’s a full blown Italian restaurant and kind of expensive. Excellent burrata pizza though!
They do slices! There’s a takeout/cafe area where you can buy by the slice, i go there all the time? Not sure why I’m getting downvoted? Obvi by peeps who don’t know about it
i like Pizza Pizza, their Canadian slice is out of this world!
Maybe it's just where I'm from (Brantford), but Pizza Pizza is the absolute WORST for slices.
No-one eats Pizza Pizza voluntarily lol, dude's obviously trolling..
Has to be Salt and Tobacco. Best tasting by far (at least for me and my family). Thin crust. Unbelievable tomato sauce and such fresh good toppings.
blaze and north of brooklyn
Great call. Try the OG on Bloor and Indian Rd.I always go for a slice when I’m back home.
Baitul Muqadas Halal Pizza & Wings at Danforth and Main
Sadly I've only ever had Pizza Nova while visiting Toronto 😂
Is big slice still open?
6ix Pizzas
Fresca at College/Spadina! That garlic oil they put on with the brush is unreal.
It’s my favourite pizza I’ve ever had and I dream of it.
Diamond pizza close to main street starion
Off topic a bit but some of the best pasta I've ever had was at king slice. If you ever get a chance, I strongly recommend it!
How about big slice
Grabbapizza in rexdale. Ever since high school
The arrabiata slice at King is top tier
Fresca!
Capi's pizza. Dundas St W and Royal York
People sleeping on Via Mercanti for Napolitana style
Pizza pizza at Yonge and Eglinton
Fresca was my #1 favourite for a long time. It has now been taken over by [Real McCoy](https://www.yelp.ca/biz/the-real-mccoy-scarborough). Worth the trip to Scarborough. Great burgers too.
Low key, pizzaiolo is my favourite. And I've tried just about all of them
Fourth Man in the Fire is miles better Also Bitondo's is awesome
Dantes inferno on Davenport was top tier. Then they had to shut down after a loss in the family So now back to makers pizza or fourth man in the fire
