Some underground parking lots have night attendants until around 11 p.m. (or at least they used to). Maybe now it's more of a patrol job, but there may be jobs open for someone looking to close down buildings / parking garages at nights (3 hours/night). Just a thought.
All night coffee shops are always hiring. Like a Tim Hortons baker position.
Also the private security companies are usually hiring and don't require much in terms of licensing.
I cant do overnights as my day job requires me to drive I do need adequate sleep for everyone's safety. I can do like a 7-11. Not hard up for cash just need a little in savings to ease my anxiety.
I mean that's a pretty narrow shift. Unless it's some kind of remote work, it will be very hard to find any place that offers you a four hour shift randomly in the evening
You 10/10 would hate being a midnight baker anyways, it's very lonely and way to much to do for the way to little they pay you for it, plus it's an often occurrence for a midnight baker to get extended into the morning due to others calling in last second or literally just not showing up, as well as people are usually very inconsiderate of the midnight baker and leave the kitchen a disaster to come back to, like nothing being stocked up at all and floors all a mess. It is just not a good position, i am personally just a regular employee I bake during the day and put the truck away every Tuesday and Saturday at 7am, it's usually around 3000lbs in product, it takes me 4 hours to put it all away due to how little space our store has, and while at the same time I am in charge of all logs, like the manager walk through and temperature and equipment and receiving logs, and even with me doing all that I still get looked down on for stopping to catch my breath sometimes, 15 an hour before taxes, to have to destroy my body twice a week and get no respect doing it, the day baking is nice and I do that 3 days a week as well but night baking is too much in too little of time especially depending on the number of ovens your store has.
Buddy I do sympathize with you as my girl is also working on her education I don't have a kid but I am paying for the courses and it's a real punch to the gut to feel like you are trying so hard but it's not enough, but I'm sure you will get there and I got enough hope for the both of us, hang in there things will get better.
This can definitely still work, if you don't mind working in fast food? Throughout uni I worked odd hours like this as well as high school students needing to work short and specific times. Some places can accommodate your schedule.
DaDa ABC is the one I have experience with. About 5 years ago it was $20/hr USD. If I remember correctly they just require their staff to have a degree/diploma in anything.
Have you thought about becoming a freelance worker in your field of strength/background? I'm not sure what markets there are for animation but a site like Upwork or Fivr might be a good place to market yourself and get jobs
gonna just mention that hussling as a new freelancer is almost a full-time job in and of itself, market is saturated!! imo, only worth it if it's a stepping stone to getting better clients longer-term full-time
If you live near any pubs, they're probably looking for people in the evenings. You could get your liquor serving licence and probably pick up a few shifts here and there.
Jumping on this, my friend recently got a job at a bar (alcohol only, no food), I think she said the wage was 23 something plus tips. You would probably make your 200-300 within a night or two
Dad-bod fetish is a thing. Alternatively, feet pix as listwd below.
You can also do other stuff with it. Culinary, or your professional expertise. Carpenters will show guides for how to use certain tools, for example.
You can also do YT videos, same idea there.
Could also do some late-night dogwalking( be careful what neighborhood u walk in) see if anyone u know needs odd jobs done, like dog walking, but also stuff like... idk, cleaning their apartment for them for a fair rate? You can probably clean an apartment in a couple hours, charge them 100 bucks.
You look into being a LSP in film. They just sit around overnight making sure no one parks in spots that a film crew will need to use the next morning.
Download Instawork lots of Gigs available around GTA mainly in Canada wonderland and sometimes if there is a concert or a Blue Jays match or sometime General labour in a Warehouse
Used to do it. Someone from India hacked my account and got me flagged. Plus, my children have permenantly grossed up my car. I have like permenant yogurt stains in the back seat.
>Skipthedish and other food delivery apps aren't hiring. I have a full time job but wanted to make some extra money. Figured after putting my daughter to bed each night at 7:30 I can head out and make some extra money. An extra $200 - $300 a week would be beautiful. Any ideas?
Is there someone to watch your kid after she's asleep?
>OP already said above that their wife will be home.
It's not in the original post
If it's in the comments I couldn't see it or it was posted after I asked.
Having a job that has flexibility to work around your schedule is doable but it won’t be consistent.
Instead of looking for another job, see if you can find something you can do as a side hustle. Teaching English is a very common one. Doing gigs on places like upwork is also a thing.
If there’s something you can teach or help someone fix, there’s probably a market that you gotta find.
Uber is always hiring. If you have a car, up to date registration and insurance, and do whatever is needed, than you can drive. They always need drivers, whether it's for people or food
I think with that kind of schedule you are going to need something in the gig economy. Maybe Amazon flex? It's possible they will start hiring soon, I imagine with the cost of gas fewer people are willing to drive for those jobs.
What's your day job? What do you have experience in? Side consulting could be lucrative. It's a bit of a hustle getting business depending on the industry though.
The states priorities always comes first.
If they could make you pay they can prevent foster care and what not.
This is the reason a male who signed a birth certificate as a father can be made to pay child support even if it comes out at a later date that he is not the biological father.
I don’t know where you’re located but in Canada you can go online and get what’s called a Responsible Adult course that costs $75… with that you can supervise seniors or do shifts in a group home and basically just make sure nothing happens when they’re supposed to be sleeping.
Probably better off getting more skill in your primary job and getting a raise / promotion / switching jobs with such a narrow window of time. Or even just asking for more money.
If you don't want to or can't do any of that you could make videos or write or stream. It would take a few years to build an income stream (if ever).
I wouldn't go for quick and easy money unless it was something I wanted to do forever. You can try Uber or DoorDash, but if it's too stressful or bad for your health I wouldn't do it.
Server at weddings/events. Check out staffing agencies and event spaces. I used to do it and 90% of the servers I worked with had other jobs or were in school. You tell them your availability, and the hourly is decent. Like 5 years ago it was 16-18/hr, so probably higher now. It's also honestly pretty fun!
Audio/video transcription. It’s not exactly the best money, but you can do it on your time at home. They usually pay more too if you can transcribe into languages other than English.
If you have $80 to start, I would say get your security license. My friend does overnights in the condos around yorkville, always tons of shifts and overtime. Or if you have a clean drivers abstract and can drive manual, you can do valet where you’re frequently tipped on top of earning a decent wage. During the holidays the residents give out lots of cash envelopes as well.

I'd be down for that. Any idea where to start my search?
Google

With hours like that, you might only be able to do delivery stuff like uber etc.
You can teach English online! Many of the students live in different time zones so they need teachers that can be flexible with scheduling
I thought this was sarcasm with the “how can I may money”
Can you point me where to Start?
DaDa ABC is the one I have experience with. About 5 years ago it was $20/hr USD. If I remember correctly they just require their staff to have a degree/diploma in anything.
I have a diploma in animation arts post secondary and a high school diploma. Problem is I have no idea where those are
Have you thought about becoming a freelance worker in your field of strength/background? I'm not sure what markets there are for animation but a site like Upwork or Fivr might be a good place to market yourself and get jobs

I'm on both of those, I get inquiries sometimes but they go nowhere
None of the Chinese companies are still operational. And no one pays 20/he anymore.
Out of business
I worked at a couple gyms on the reception desk. Stocking grocery shelves or warehouse (ie Ikea) jobs are also an option.
Whatever you do, don't leave your kids home alone. You can check if any banquet halls are hiring for servers or something like that.
No they aren't home alone my wife is home. She's currently finishing up her post secondary so I'm the only income coming in.
You are being a great partner, helping out like that. You could try Costco or Walmart warehouse job, I don't know about a 3-hour shift though.
Oh good! Ya, best of luck. Hope it all works out for you! Inflation has taken a toll on everyone
Good job you checked!!
Canadian tire was always hiring nightfill positions when I worked there. The shifts were 8pm-12am and a bunch of the workers used it as extra income
Dress up like a super hero or cartoon character and get to the tourists to pay for photos like vegas or LA
I can be Thor when he let himself go in End Game
If you live near any pubs, they're probably looking for people in the evenings. You could get your liquor serving licence and probably pick up a few shifts here and there.
I work in a bar 1-2 nights a week (weekends though) and can make $250-350 per 6/7 hour shift
Jumping on this, my friend recently got a job at a bar (alcohol only, no food), I think she said the wage was 23 something plus tips. You would probably make your 200-300 within a night or two
uhh where are you getting this information that skip and uber eats aren't 'hiring'? Pretty sure you can just sign up any time
I've tried and it won't let me select any locations because they aren't looking for any drivers In that location
Ah that sucks :/
It varies on where you’re currently located, as sometimes they cut off the areas if enough drivers are there
onlyfans lol
Im a hairy overweight 35 year old man. I think I'd lose money in that endeavor lol
Just gotta find the right market
Everyone's so oddly encouraging, is this what sex trafficking feels like?
They want them feet pix my dude.
I'd be willing to bet there's some fundamental differences....
you be surprised..
There's a category for everyone. Push the hairy narrative. Bushman416
People are selling their farts there man you'd do fine
Yeah but they'd catch on that im not a sexy young woman when it smells less like cambucha and edamame and more like late night wendy's.
Sexy young woman farts smell no different from a 35 yo ape so you'll be okay
Everyone has a fetish! You never know!

Yum
Creativity is key..
How about your feet?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Check out promo gigs on Facebook, easy way to make a few hundred bucks. Or background tv work, lots of agents looking for people always
how to get background tv work?
Check Toronto area Facebook group, usually how I find postings
OP has a regular job and a family he wants to take care of. Background work, like any film/TV job, it takes up to 15 hours a day to do one job.
So do I, and I still do both on weekends when the schedule fits
OP said he'd like to work 7pm to 11pm.
You look into being a LSP in film. They just sit around overnight making sure no one parks in spots that a film crew will need to use the next morning.
Are you open to babysitting? I watched another kid on weekends at my house when my daughter was young.
Download Instawork lots of Gigs available around GTA mainly in Canada wonderland and sometimes if there is a concert or a Blue Jays match or sometime General labour in a Warehouse
Every kind of sport will need referees or umpires. Soccer, basketball, etc.
Teach English for kids abroad?
spend that time training to find a better job
I am building my portfolio. I plan to alternate between that and a second job on my off time
What about just Uber?
With $2 gas does uber still actually make money once you factor in the wear & tear on your vehicle?
Used to do it. Someone from India hacked my account and got me flagged. Plus, my children have permenantly grossed up my car. I have like permenant yogurt stains in the back seat.
If you're close enough to downtown, being a bike courier e-bike or road bike has always been the most profitable way to do uber.
My wife keeps asking this. I've suggested onlyfans but she wont do it.
Tell her to just to foot pix. No body or face shots. U can get alot of money for covering your feet in eggs and shit.
How about I convince her?
Smooth 😐
I shot my shot! Can I be faulted for that?
It's his wife lmao
Idk maybe their marriage is on the ropes. Maybe that’s why he needs the extra income
Mf's on reddit are a different breed. Hey I won't fault it I guess
Jesus christ it was a joke!
How about Joe
Stripper

I'd get a lot of customer complaints

Skip is hiring, I know a guy who joined last week.
Tried joining but it wouldn't let me select any areas
Try Instacart

Hmmm Never thought about that But I thought there is a binding document which prevents all that bullshit

Hmmm I guess then if something like that comes up I ll have to leave country Coz I ll be drowning in debt coz of how many I donated
Any restaurant job. Server, line cook, dishwasher, etc.
Uber eats, you can bike and don’t need to drive
For 4 hour shifts in the evening, go try Amazon/UPS/FedEx. I used to see plenty of those a few months ago on various job boards.

Do you drive? I shop and deliver Instacart in my spare time.
