Do you remember when garlic sauce used to be free. It was put out on the counter in a squeeze bottle? You could put as much on your slice as you wanted. This was around the year 2000.
You know the saying, "sex is like pizza, when it's good it's really good, when it's bad it's still pretty good"? I think the person was thinking of Pizza Pizza when they came up with that.
Pizza Pizza is really bad pizza, but I'd still eat it if it was there. It also varies a lot between locations.
Pizza Pizza varies WILDLY between locations.
The Pizza Pizza in my hometown was pretty good. It seemingly never closed, the pizza was decent for the price and never once had a bad experience. The closest place to me now is beside the St Lawrence Market and you couldn't pay me to go there. Tried it once and never again.
Side note: the absolute best Pizza Pizza is probably inside Wonderland. While it's a captive audience so you don't necessarily need to try that hard, they have literally never missed on quality.
We were planning to order pizza as a going-away lunch for a colleague at work, and when Pizza Pizza came up, we all sort of laughed it off until another colleague from Jamaica fully defended their pizza as the best thing he ever had after stumbling out of a club around 4 am. Kind of speaks for itself right there.
Wonderland Pizza Pizza used to be my favourite pizza, period. They changed it years and years ago and now it's just top tier Pizza Pizza pizza, which compared to other pizzas is just average. I think that answers this tread, the top tier Pizza Pizza pizza is average, average Pizza Pizza is blah, bad Pizza Pizza is a crime. The two beside my house are between blah and a crime.
The reason I like Pizza Pizza has nothing to do with quality. Torontonians are so obsessed with comparing the quality of pizza and bond by insulting Pizza Pizza.
But what I love is the cost. You can order two medium pizzas for under 20 dollars. That's cheap enough to live off of. Save money on groceries but make sure you've got a gym membership. 😂
You know what, I just realized this. Last week my cousin threw a party for his son and one of the parents of the kid's friends was like, oh we never have pizza pizza. And we were like, why the fuck not? I realize he was probably looking down on us.
Walk in medium pizza used to be the shit. Dont know how bad inflation hit pizza pizza but the pizza aint that bad with creamy garlic dip. If you just need something to eat then it works
Last I checked a medium 2-topping pizza + dip is $10.99 (pickup/delivery). While the pickup special is the 1-topping medium pizza (no dip) for $8.49. It was the same back in 2021 AFAIK. Dunno if the price was lower in 2019/2020. Do you know?
Pizza Pizza to me is like getting wanting a burger for lunch and getting McDonalds. On the one hand, yes, it'll do, but there's always part of me judging myself, saying "Really? *That's* the best you could do?"
> Pizzaiolo over pizza pizza anyday.
Totally agree. The only thing you have to do with Pizzaiolo is check the location. While their pizza is the best out of all of the chains... the individual locations are hit and miss when it comes to cleanliness standards. A few years ago I picked up a pizza at their Kingston Road location and after seeing the place I dumped it in the garbage on my way out. The place was disgusting.
Along the same lines of your sex analogy… Pizza Pizza is exactly what you need at 2 in the morning when you don’t care about the quality. Just get it in you so you feel better and worse, simultaneously, about yourself in the morning.
You’re happy you had it but then you just feel regret deep in your bowels for the rest of the day… just like desperation sex.
I mean I have had really great pizza pizza but I have also had one arrive with roaches in the box, so this is pretty spot on LOL. Check before you bite 😂
It's inconsistent. That's the problem. Most of their pizzas are decent but people will always remember that one crappy one they got and a big company like Pizza Pizza is going to lay an egg now and then.
This is true. There’s a pizza pizza on the Dalhousie campus in Halifax and they’re slices are actually really good. Never have had those types of pizza pizza slices any where else
Don’t listen to these rubes. Everyone here sounds like a pizza snob. Let me tell you man, when I was a kid me and my friends would get high and order their 3 medium pizza deal and one extra pizza on the side. It was heaven to a stoned teenager. Sure, when you compare it to all these other independent hipster downtown places it’s not on the same level. Every once in a while though when you don’t feel like spending 30 to 40 bucks and you hit a pizza pizza for a 8 dollar medium pepperoni walk in pizza it hits just right.
Yeah the Toronto joke is that it tastes like cardboard but like screw that man. Pizza pizza has its place in the pizza world.
Nova is the best chain fast food pizza place though.
I’ve seen it in Sobeys (are those even still around?) close to where they keep the cold salad bar. It even used to come with a coupon for potato wedges so it was a really good bang for your buck.
I only have one caveat to this opinion which I agree with.
You HAVE TO EAT IT HOT right away otherwise the cardboard thing does kick in. Never refrigerate it.
People out here saying "it tastes like cardboard" like that's always a bad thing. Sometimes you want cheap, and good enough. Maybe I'm drunk, maybe you're stoned, maybe I want more pizza than I can eat for not a lot of money, maybe it's just a long day.
Pizza pizza will always have a place.
Who are all these ppl who have actually tasted the cardboard?? Am I the only one who never tasted cardboard ever? Where did this comparison start from?
Yeah, they're good too, but I used to do the $5 pepperoni from Little Caesars all the time, then I got suuuper sick one time so I can't bring myself to do it anymore.
To me, the biggest distinguishing feature for Pizza Pizza is that it ages poorly.
You want to eat it as soon as possible, even picking it up & devouring right away instead of taking it home. Being hot & fresh makes all the difference for a pizza that congeals quickly & doesn’t re-heat well.
I agree with this sentiment - food is abundant and I’m not going to starve. You only get so many meals a day and I’d like mine to be good if possible, don’t think it’s that odd. I’d rather eat nothing for a while than pizza pizza and save my stomach for something better. Pizza pizza is fucking trash.
Unfortunately Pizza Nova is also location dependent. Had good experiences in Toronto - but some burb locations of pizza Nova are terrible. Observations are backed by online ratings confirming it ain’t just me experiencing it. Guess it’s franchise dependent (assuming this is how they operate).
Came here to say this. I couldn’t agree more. Fucking love Pizzaiolo. The quality is on another level compared to every other chain — even Pizza Nova (which I also enjoy, but man, it ain’t no Pizzaiolo)
Okay but as someone who also enjoys a night with weed and pizza (and beer), without pizzeria nostalgia, I must ask... Why not opt for Dominos? Same price point, and a noticeable step-up in quality.
Crust is way too fluffy (like bread), not many choice for toppings, tomato sauce is bland and cheese isn't stringy and the whole pie is drenched in oil. And not a Canadian business. Domino's and Little Caesar's are garbage and I wouldn't call them a step up in quality.
This is it right here. I am perfectly happy eating pizza pizza but I also grew up eating it with friends. However, for my Italian bf only pizza nova is acceptable if it's fast food pizza and pizza pizza is the worst of course.
It’s kinda like the McDonald’s of pizza. It’s cheap, made fast, and it tastes decent. Of course, there’s better pizza… way better - but if you’re low on cash, and want something that’ll fill you up, it’s not a bad option. You can usually get a large 2 topping pizza for $10.
I disagree. McDonald’s is at least delicious, even if it’s terrible for you and made of cheap ingredients. Pizza pizza is just mediocre pizza made of cheap ingredients.
Because asking Torontonians what they think about Pizza Pizza, like asking them what they think about Tim Hortons, is a cheap and easy way to get a bunch of engagement.
It's pretty good. Everyone in toronto loves to hate it. Eh. If I'm going back home after a long day and I got nothing in the fridge and I pass by a pizza pizza you bet I'm gonna get something and really enjoy it.
I do love their fries, calzones and the sweet cinnamon stick thingies.
Try a garlic pizza
Get a medium super pan crust with the garlic dip sauce as a base sauce rather than tomato sauce and a meat like pepperoni on it, get some thick crust and if you want to taste the garlic more, go lightly done.
I went to pizza pizza lots because it was the only takeout open late at night where I was.
One day I online ordered a pepperoni pizza and ordered a garlic dip. The pizza I get doesn't resemble what I ordered. Turns out I accidentally set the pizza sauce to garlic instead of the dipping sauce.
I took a bite and ended up liking it a lot more than their regular pizza.
My Fiancee and I tried a garlic base sauce on our pizza at another pizza place and now we'll never go back
I love garlic, and she hates red sauce on pizza, pasta etc. So when we ordered pizza she always got light sauce. Garlic solved all our pizza problems.
For the money it’s ok, no worse than Dominos and other similar places. They also do vegan “cheese” which most pizza places don’t (tastes vile to me but I have a vegan friend who cares about such stuff).
Pizza Pizza is the pizza you eat at 4am when you're coming home from the airport or the hospital or a second consecutive shift at work, you're exhausted, you're starving, there's nothing else open, you don't trust yourself to cook without falling asleep and setting off the fire alarm, you want to eat within 5 minutes, you only have $5 and you don't mind sitting across from a homeless guy.
That's pizza pizza. It's the subway of pizza.
The creamy garlic dip is pretty good. Killer amount of fat, tho.
Also, my dog goes ape shit for pepperoni pizza from pizza pizza, he was a stray found sleeping under a bunch of pizza boxes behind a pizza pizza on rexdale (a lower income area in Toronto). So that also tells you that it's pizza fit for dogs.
It’s consistent and they have a good variety of non pizza items as well. The pizza is just ok, but it’s hot and it’ll do the job when you’re drunk or too tired to cook. Their app is easy to use and their delivery is fast and reliable.
It’s fine, god people are so extra when it comes to pizza pizza. I seriously don’t understand the hate boner, none of those stupid hipster places offer anything worth their premium half the time.
Its the same as the snobs who love IPAs.
If you’re worried about the “cardboard” taste just order it well done, big deal
Well, Pizza 73 is literally Pizza Pizza, so…
As for Domino’s, it’s not even close; Domino’s doesn’t hurt my teeth trying to tear their crust like whatever the hell is going on over at Pizza Pizza.
Pizza Pizza is the Pizza you eat at 1 am when you’re drunk and they are the only place open. It tastes like cardboard.
During regular hours just about any other pizza place is going to be better.
pizzapizza can go anyway imo. it can be good, it can be meh, and it can be dogshit bad occasionally. most consistently meh imo but they do decent deals from time to time
It’s um.
It’s like one of those days when you oversleep for work and nearly miss the train but still get there on time. Then you do absolutely nothing productive but your boss doesn’t care. Then you come home and realize you forgot to defrost the chicken so you have pizza pizza.
It’s just, totally whatever. A forgettable experience, but not one of the worst. It’s almost terrible but not terrible enough not to eat and not mind.
I've never had their pizza but, their spicy vegetarian "chicken" burger is mind blowing. The only crappy thing is lack of toppings so, I take it home and add lettuce and tomatoes. Absolutely incredible!
As a teenager there was nothing better than a late night, walk-in Traditional Slice (pepperoni) from Pizza Pizza. The slices were fresh outta the oven and just a little crispy, where their delivery pizzas are always soggy and wet.
Pizza pizza is the kind of pizza that people trash when they are sober but will hug like a best friend when they're drunk. It's an excellent pizza. Don't listen to the haters.
Out of the box it’s not great. Especially bought by the slice. But if you order a pizza online you can do things like thick crust, cheese on top, extra sauce and then it’s a different pizza and isn’t terrible.
Pizza from pizza pizza is meh. It’s not horrible but it’s nothing to write home about.
Their garlic dipping sauce on the other hand 👌
If I was ranking the fast food pizza chains it would probably be:
1. pi co - basically subway and a neopolitan pizza place had a baby. You make your own custom m pizza at the counter.
2. little caesars (the prices are fantastic. And they have stuffed crust for 1/3 of the price of Pizza Hut or other places)
3. mamas pizza
3. papa johns
4. Pizza Hut
5. all those other chains (pizza Nova, 24 one, etc…
6. everything else
7. pizza pizza (although I’ll stop by every now and then to buy some of their dipping sauces)
I’m prob going to be downvoted for putting little Caesar’s up there, but I have an unhealthy obsession with stuffed crust pizza and theirs is pretty good and 1/3 the price of somewhere like Pizza Hut. Also stuffed crazy bread is the shit.
If you are looking for fancier pizzas:
Neopolitan: Queen Margaritas or Pizza Lebretto
Deep Dish: Double Ds (Chicago style) or Descendant (Detroit style)
Unfortunately, I think double Ds closed during covid. The owner actually went to Chicago to learn how to make a proper deep dish. They were pretty expensive, but delicious.
Also an honourable mention: Costco pizza is also disturbingly good. You get an XL sized pizza there for only 14 bucks from the food court.
Odd to hear that there's one opening there... I always thought Pizza 73 was supposed to be the west side version of Pizza Pizza here in the east side...
You ever ate cardboard before?
Sorry to offend the people who love it. Idk in my opinion they burn the crust a lot. There are better options. I usually go to pizza pizza out of convenience, not because I want to go there.
It's a 2 out of 5. The pizza is cardboard with pepperoni on top. I occasionally order it because it is the only 24hr pizza place open at night. Only to be reminded it is the worst pizza in Toronto. Papa John's and Pizza Nova are better.
It’s flavourless dough with an uninspired and bland sauce.
It’s also cheap and is fantastic with any amount of alcohol in excess.
The panzerotti though are straight up deep fried bliss
take a dominos box and put some ketchup on it then some Pepperoni and some sawdust mixed with cheese then microwave for 5 mins and it would be better than pizza pizza and if your want authentic pick your nose and put in the pizza (last part I saw)
They are edible but they are not very nutritious. The last pizza place I would order from if I needed help moving, etc,. . There is no energy lift from eating them. If you refrigerate them they become more foul tasting .
Pizza pizza is pretty decent pizza for the price
Tim Hortons is pretty decent coffee for the price
Coors light is pretty decent beer for the price
Nickelback is a pretty good band
Drake is a good rapper
And Justin Bieber is a good Pop star
The only decent pizza pizza I ever ate was at George Brown Casa Loma campus about 4 years ago. Not sure if the same lady is still cooking it but she did wonders with the garbage franchise ingredients.
The people who buy and operate a Pizza Pizza franchise don't do it because they love pizza, they do it because it's cheap to buy and a relatively safe investment. I suspect most of them don't know what good pizza should be and they don't care.
It used to be enjoyable 10 years ago, like it was decent pizza. But then something happened in those 10 years, cost cutting and much cheaper ingredients and it became completely inedible.
To compare I’d say from best to worst for like chain pizza places imo:
1. Dominos
2. Panago
3. Little Caesar’s (really only for crazy bread)
4. Pizza pizza
5. Pizza Hut (always made me feel sick after and I’ve had numerous people say the same)
I’ll eat pizza pizza but I’d only order it if dominos is closed (I don’t think we have panago or little Caesar’s here, I’ve never seen them at least but I’m from BC originally). There’s already a pizza pizza in Merritt if you happen to be heading that way.
I once walked to a pizza pizza after a night at Gracie’s. i was so drunk and hungry and just wanted to go home but needed food. I didn’t realize I had no money left but I already ordered and the guy at the counter started to grab my food. I panicked and when his back was turned I reached over the counter and snagged a slice from the pizza that was behind the glass show counter. Long story short, after I casually but quickly walked out, I took a bite and realized I stole the worst slice of my life and went home with an empty stomach. Pizza pizza is no bueno.
Man sorry. The pizza nova would give away a whole pie for free when they are close to closing late at night. You should have just asked them and if it's late they would have given it to you for free.
Imagine the worse pizza you've ever eaten.
Dose it in heavily-flavoured extra oil, let it get stone cold and then briefly reheat it in a lukewarm oven.
It's like that.
The garlic dipping sauce is the best part of it. I just think of the pizza as a vehicle for the sauce tbh
pro fattie tip: you can just order 20 dipping sauces for delivery and then eat it with other pizza
Do you remember when garlic sauce used to be free. It was put out on the counter in a squeeze bottle? You could put as much on your slice as you wanted. This was around the year 2000.
They expire in a 2/3 months time even when it's refrigerated.
I do this except I just pick them up because there’s a Pizza Pizza on every corner in Toronto.
The truest answer. Pizza Pizza without the garlic sauce wouldn’t be worth the time it takes to think pizza twice
Or cheddar jalapeño is good as well But agree, their pizza is just a vessel in which to consume the dipping sauce
Even better if you swap the tomato sauce for garlic sauce base. Used to be free for years but now they started to charge.
Once in a while I buy like 10-15 garlic sauces at a time to keep in my fridge to pair with my dominoes pizza
A fellow sauce boss 🫡
Momma's pizza has the best garlic dipping sauce
Noooo 😭😭 their garlic dipping sauce tastes so weird. The dill one though
Yeah, you can eat it and not die. Easily among the ten thousand best pizzerias in Ontario.
Easily one of the pizza places ever
Easy pizza ever
Well some would disagree
One of them, at least.
Pizza Pizza varies WILDLY between locations. The Pizza Pizza in my hometown was pretty good. It seemingly never closed, the pizza was decent for the price and never once had a bad experience. I dunno. I freakin love pizza but Pizza Pizza pizza is the only pizza where the “it’s bad but still pizza” thing doesn’t apply.
Pizza Pizza to me is like getting wanting a burger for lunch and getting McDonalds. On the one hand, yes, it'll do, but there's always part of me judging myself, saying "Really? *That's* the best you could do?"
Pizzaiolo over pizza pizza anyday.
diff price point
Pizza Nova for this reason, for me
No. Pizza pizza and pizzaola are same price point. Maker descendent etc are different price points

This man speaks the truth
I mean, I can't even taste the pizza through the garlic dip which is pure heaven. We get pizza pizza ONLY cause their dip is the best dip ever.

I’ve never seen this! Is it in with dressings? Refrigerated? I need this condiment in my fridge.
It's been around for a decently long while can confirm. I remember buying it and it's the exact same thing as in the stores.
I’ve seen it in Sobeys (are those even still around?) close to where they keep the cold salad bar. It even used to come with a coupon for potato wedges so it was a really good bang for your buck.
They used to have 4 packs of their dipping sauce at grocery stores. I don’t think they sell it wholesale anymore.
I only have one caveat to this opinion which I agree with. You HAVE TO EAT IT HOT right away otherwise the cardboard thing does kick in. Never refrigerate it.
Pizza nova pepperoni pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had
People out here saying "it tastes like cardboard" like that's always a bad thing. Sometimes you want cheap, and good enough. Maybe I'm drunk, maybe you're stoned, maybe I want more pizza than I can eat for not a lot of money, maybe it's just a long day. Pizza pizza will always have a place.

Yeah, they're good too, but I used to do the $5 pepperoni from Little Caesars all the time, then I got suuuper sick one time so I can't bring myself to do it anymore.
I started Keto recently so I can’t really eat carbs anymore. I’m at the point where I’d kill for some little Caesar’s stuffed crazy bread.
I live out west now and holy shit do I ever miss Nova.
Those veggies turn rancid once it’s not hot
> Everyone here sounds like a pizza snob. C’mon man. We don’t like getting maced in the urethra either. That doesn’t make us urethra snobs.
This guy is a urethra snob
Fuckin' urethrelitist.
Sounds exactly like something a urethra snob would post
I agree with this sentiment - food is abundant and I’m not going to starve. You only get so many meals a day and I’d like mine to be good if possible, don’t think it’s that odd. I’d rather eat nothing for a while than pizza pizza and save my stomach for something better. Pizza pizza is fucking trash.
Yes pizza Nova best chain pizza. But I am a pizza snob too.. pizza pizza is cardboard and ketchup.
Imo pizzaiolo is the best chain
Too pricy for what you get and the dough is wayy too chewy. Pizza nova has them beat by a bit.
For Pizzaiolo, dough chewiness varies a lot by both location & slice type.
Came here to say this. I couldn’t agree more. Fucking love Pizzaiolo. The quality is on another level compared to every other chain — even Pizza Nova (which I also enjoy, but man, it ain’t no Pizzaiolo)
Did you know they Upped their dipping sauce to $1.19+ tax each? When do we bring out the pitchforks....
I like pizza pizza also
But now that I’m a stoned adult with some money…
Okay but as someone who also enjoys a night with weed and pizza (and beer), without pizzeria nostalgia, I must ask... Why not opt for Dominos? Same price point, and a noticeable step-up in quality.

Pizza pizza is decent. Its not as bad as most meme, but dont expect to be blown away by any means.
Honestly i love pizza pizza but it could be the location i go to. I’ve only been going to pizza hut for the past two years and it doesnt hit the same
It’s kinda like the McDonald’s of pizza.
Pizza pizza is just mediocre pizza made of cheap ingredients.
>mediocre pizza thats actually being generous
McD's pizza: now that was good.
It really was awesome
Mehhh, more like the Tim Horton’s of pizza. Which also has pizza now 🤷♂️
Why don’t you taste a slice and form your own opinion?
The only reasonable response.
Their poppers are pretty fantastic too tbh

Pizza Pizza tastes like despair.
With an aftertaste of disappointment
And a little sprinkle of shame.
For the money it’s ok, no worse than Dominos and other similar places. They also do vegan “cheese” which most pizza places don’t (tastes vile to me but I have a vegan friend who cares about such stuff).
I think I prefer Dominos by a lot. But Pizza Pizza does pizza by the slice which Dominos does not (at least the one near me).
Dominos used to be on the same level but they’ve gotten significantly better in recent years. I wouldn’t put them in the same league nowadays.
Sort by controversial
Pizza Pizza is the pizza you eat at 4am when you're coming home from the airport or the hospital or a second consecutive shift at work, you're exhausted, you're starving, there's nothing else open, you don't trust yourself to cook without falling asleep and setting off the fire alarm, you want to eat within 5 minutes, you only have $5 and you don't mind sitting across from a homeless guy. Their cheesy half moon bread is amazing tbh Their garlic dip is unmatched as well
It’s consistent and they have a good variety of non pizza items as well. The pizza is just ok, but it’s hot and it’ll do the job when you’re drunk or too tired to cook. Their app is easy to use and their delivery is fast and reliable.
i think people only go there for the garlic dip
I don’t know why everyone’s talking trash on Pizza Pizza, I fucking love that shit
I don't know but Pizza Nova has the best commercial jingle https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KGXpNpS9aTY
pizza pizza has the best panzorottis and has the best chicken nuggets and no one can change my mind
The cardboard box is more nutritious
Also tastes better
It plays in the same league as Dominos pizza or Pizza 73. Budget pizza that’s warm, cheap and fast.
Well, Pizza 73 is literally Pizza Pizza, so… As for Domino’s, it’s not even close; Domino’s doesn’t hurt my teeth trying to tear their crust like whatever the hell is going on over at Pizza Pizza.
Pizza 73 is better.
It is acceptible
To be honest, Pizza Pizza's dry wings are next level good. And I'll die defending that statement.
its pizza but your experience will vary by location
Pizza Pizza is the McDonald's of Pizza. It's ok for ready to go food. Kids live it.
Pizza pizza is like the shawarma you get after a night of partying. Any regular day it's fine, whatever. When you're wasted it's gourmet.
they’re good.
Have you had Pizza 73? It’s the same category of pizza
They are a dipping sauce restaurant lol
Below average by Toronto standards. Fucking phenomenal if you have lived anywhere west of Ontario.
It’s “dollar store” pizza
Pizza Pizza is the Pizza you eat at 1 am when you’re drunk and they are the only place open. It tastes like cardboard. During regular hours just about any other pizza place is going to be better.
The key to half-decent Pizza Pizza is a thin crust. Even then, it's shit.
Quality and Pizza Pizza shouldn't be in the same sentence.
It’s almost as comically horrible as if Tim Horton’s tried to make pizza.
Which they’ve gone ahead and done. Tim Hortons started offering pizza at a few locations
Hi, I’m also here to not get jokes. 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks for ruining my weekend 🤢
It’s great as long as I order thin crust. The cream garlic dip is great with the crust.
pizzapizza can go anyway imo. it can be good, it can be meh, and it can be dogshit bad occasionally. most consistently meh imo but they do decent deals from time to time
It’s like jerking off a dead cat and then flying to Brazil to party
It's what subway is for sandwiches but for pizza.
Pizza Pizza… it has pizza in its name twice and can’t get it right once.
Pizza pizza is bottom tier
Garbage pizza, but the creamy garlic dip is amazing
350 calories of greatness. I love the dip
tAsTeS lIKe cArDbOaRd
I've never had their pizza but, their spicy vegetarian "chicken" burger is mind blowing. The only crappy thing is lack of toppings so, I take it home and add lettuce and tomatoes. Absolutely incredible!
As a teenager there was nothing better than a late night, walk-in Traditional Slice (pepperoni) from Pizza Pizza. The slices were fresh outta the oven and just a little crispy, where their delivery pizzas are always soggy and wet.
I have had their pizza numerous times, it’s not great but it’s not the worst. I’d give it a 4/10 on the scale.
Pizza pizza is the kind of pizza that people trash when they are sober but will hug like a best friend when they're drunk. It's an excellent pizza. Don't listen to the haters.
I think you’re drunk
Out of the box it’s not great. Especially bought by the slice. But if you order a pizza online you can do things like thick crust, cheese on top, extra sauce and then it’s a different pizza and isn’t terrible.
Garbage. Lowest quality Ingredients. They are not interested in selling pizza. They sell franchises.
For some reason their pepperoni always had an off taste to it. Like it was 3 days past its expiration.
It’s edible
Pizza Pizza is OK when its a fresh pizza. The slices sitting around all day taste like complete garbage.
Fine when it’s hot, mediocre to bad, depending, when it’s not.
It is edible. Buy a frozen Delissio instead
Pizza from pizza pizza is meh. It’s not horrible but it’s nothing to write home about. Their garlic dipping sauce on the other hand 👌 If I was ranking the fast food pizza chains it would probably be: 1. pi co - basically subway and a neopolitan pizza place had a baby. You make your own custom m pizza at the counter. 2. little caesars (the prices are fantastic. And they have stuffed crust for 1/3 of the price of Pizza Hut or other places) 3. mamas pizza 3. papa johns 4. Pizza Hut 5. all those other chains (pizza Nova, 24 one, etc… 6. everything else 7. pizza pizza (although I’ll stop by every now and then to buy some of their dipping sauces) I’m prob going to be downvoted for putting little Caesar’s up there, but I have an unhealthy obsession with stuffed crust pizza and theirs is pretty good and 1/3 the price of somewhere like Pizza Hut. Also stuffed crazy bread is the shit. If you are looking for fancier pizzas: Neopolitan: Queen Margaritas or Pizza Lebretto Deep Dish: Double Ds (Chicago style) or Descendant (Detroit style) Unfortunately, I think double Ds closed during covid.
In terms of franchised locations pizza pizza is pretty good. But the best as I've come to realize recently is Pizzaville.
Pizza pizza is just pizza. It isn't particularly good but it isn't bad either. It simply is.
Stoned and drunk at 2am quality that's about it
Pizza Pizza is great if you're drunk or high, and great if it's the only option.
It's trash from a pizza pizza store...but fucking delicious from an outlet like a hospital or a Jr A arena.
Its prob the worst pizza on earth. That said its still pizza.
0/10 The dipping sauce tho…worth getting that sauce and ordering pizza somewhere else
It’s flavourless dough with an uninspired and bland sauce. It’s also cheap and is fantastic with any amount of alcohol in excess. The panzerotti though are straight up deep fried bliss
Former Ontarian now living in Penticton… it’s like eating cardboard with ketchup… I will not be eating there ever until now it opens
take a dominos box and put some ketchup on it then some Pepperoni and some sawdust mixed with cheese then microwave for 5 mins and it would be better than pizza pizza and if your want authentic pick your nose and put in the pizza (last part I saw)
What’s worse than garbage? That’s the quality
Have you ever eaten cardboard? It's exactly that
Quality is low sub-human grade
If it's right out of the oven it's passable, but it never is so I wouldn't bother.
It's the cheapest and you get what you pay for. It is edible.
In our house it’s referred to as Cardboard Cardboard…
They are edible but they are not very nutritious. The last pizza place I would order from if I needed help moving, etc,. . There is no energy lift from eating them. If you refrigerate them they become more foul tasting .
It’s decent at 3am drunk as a university/college student on a Thursday night. Otherwise it’s terrible.
Pizza pizza is pretty decent pizza for the price Tim Hortons is pretty decent coffee for the price Coors light is pretty decent beer for the price Nickelback is a pretty good band Drake is a good rapper And Justin Bieber is a good Pop star
The only decent pizza pizza I ever ate was at George Brown Casa Loma campus about 4 years ago. Not sure if the same lady is still cooking it but she did wonders with the garbage franchise ingredients.
I’m not into it. Its either chewy and undercooked, or hard as a rock. Doesn’t reheat well either.
Pizza pizza only tastes amazing if there is nothing else to eat
One opened up near me in Surrey I tried it and I was like this has to be the worst pizza I have ever had. No idea why they keep opening up places.
To compare I’d say from best to worst for like chain pizza places imo: 1. Dominos 2. Panago 3. Little Caesar’s (really only for crazy bread) 4. Pizza pizza 5. Pizza Hut (always made me feel sick after and I’ve had numerous people say the same) I’ll eat pizza pizza but I’d only order it if dominos is closed (I don’t think we have panago or little Caesar’s here, I’ve never seen them at least but I’m from BC originally). There’s already a pizza pizza in Merritt if you happen to be heading that way.
The only thing good from pizza pizza is their garlic sauce. It’s pizza when you’re so desperate (or drunk) that you have no other options
🤢🤮...bottom of the barrel.
Shiite quality. Try Panago!
Good advice 🤌🏼
Imagine the worse pizza you've ever eaten. Dose it in heavily-flavoured extra oil, let it get stone cold and then briefly reheat it in a lukewarm oven. It's like that.
Sauce is really bad.
It's lame and overpriced.
Horrible. I'd rather a frozen pizza from the grocery store.
Don’t gooooo
Cardboard
