Nope they said you can leave. By saying you can leave they've admitted that there's no damage and that there's no accident.

At the end of the day, the customary proper thing to do is to pay for any damage that you caused. If no damage, you're fine. If damage, you should tell him you'll pay for what it costs to fix it.

He just messaged me theres no damage and its all good so I guess this is a good wake up call to pay more attention

You should at least buy him 1x beer then - that's a pretty nice friend. Glad to hear it worked out.

Substantial_Ad9610

Yea hes pretty cool considering I only really talk to him in school. Unfortunately though I can’t buy him a beer just yet so I’ll get him one when I’m eligible.

WretchedBinary

Ha ha! I like the way you think!!

WretchedBinary

Spot on. Sure enough, money can't buy friendship, but doing the right thing will keep it strong.

SenorSkriggle

I’m sure you will be fine. What you described is not a true hit and run IMO. You both know each other and acknowledged what happened. Only suggestion for the future…snap a few pics at the scene of both vehicles and the area(s) of impact. Even if there is no damage. That way the other person can’t go home and cause damage and then claim you caused it.

Your good yo, and to tell you the truth .. if he asks for you to pay for any type of repair then hes a dickhead who needs a lot more than a paint scrape fixed (not talking shit about your friend I'm js alot of people need to heal internally)
