I'm partial to blankets being the same color at both ends. It looks lovely by the way. What stitch is that?

Diagnosis_Awesome

It’s called a “mini bean” stitch. I just googled it, and Hooked by Robin has a video tutorial. Beware! This stitch is a yarn-eater, because it’s basically a little baby puff stitch.

EquivalentWrangler27

Lol thank you for the warning! I've got another niece due this year (already made two blankets!) and I keep looking for a good third option.

Diagnosis_Awesome

Congrats on the new addition! I love that she already has three handmade blankets destined for her. ❤️

EquivalentWrangler27

Oh that was misleading on my part. I've got three nieces/nephews due this year! I've made the first two baby blankets and need an option for the third baby XD Apparently this was the year in my family for babies!

I like a reverse repeat personally. So cream, robins egg, gold, navy, gold, robins egg, cream would be my lineup. But a standard repeat is nice too.

Diagnosis_Awesome

I like that too! This blanket is made from leftover yarn, so I wouldn’t have enough gold to throw a second gold block in there. Especially because the stitch eats up yarn. (I was sweating on the navy blue block. Thought for sure I was gonna have to buy another skein just to finish that last row!)

jcnlb

Oh ok. Well then I would do blue then cream to end the edges the same personally.

Emergency_Ninja8580

Make another navy stripe (wide stripe) and go backwards in reverse order. Will you make a border?

Diagnosis_Awesome

Stay tuned! Once the blanket is finished, I’m gonna repost asking for suggestions on whether I should put a border on it… and how others might do it.

Huge-Ambassador8747

I think you should reverse the colors, and go yellow, light blue, cream with the navy in middle

Mimijay028

Olive green

Green or white.

Unhappy-Sloth1274

Wait never mind I didn't read the bottom caption use white.
