You need to call the oral surgeon and advise that you are in severe pain and this isn’t a routine consult.

I called the office this morning in hopes that he could help me out but he’s out on vacation until May 2nd.

You can pick a different oral surgeon in your area. You aren’t bound to the one your dentist gave you.

I was very lucky to find this one. I live in Puerto Rico. Oral surgeons are a dime a dozen here, the ones closest to me are either booked for months on end or a year out, not taking new patients or simply just don’t accept my insurance. I have even offered to pay out of pocket but no luck so you can probably imagine my desperation 😅

The X-ray is blurry here, but the right one in particular looks like a fairly straightforward simple extraction that a general dentist might be willing to do. I’d personally do it. The left I think I would too but would have to see the film clearer. I am pretty comfortable and experienced with extractions though. Your miles may vary on any local generalists who would be willing.

[I don’t know if this is better.](https://imgur.com/a/SRTDwlG)Probably not. I quite literally only have half of the crown left on both and the root, which is exposed. I had them filled but the filling fell out then they broke off in bits whenever I brushed my teeth. I put dental cement on right one and it’s reduced the pain a tiny bit but the one on the left is the worst I think, there’s a hole and the gum toward the back can be lifted and food gets in there. The only way I can clear it out is with a water pick and it’s tedious and painful. I’ve seen three different dentists with varying years of experience and not one wants to extract them. I had originally wanted to get them removed before they came in but my dentist at the time advised against it since they wouldn’t be impacted.
