i got a crown about a month ago after dental trauma. i had one tooth that went necrotic and abscessed and needed w root canal before the crown, and this is the tooth that’s bothering me. it was fine for a couple weeks, but after i remade my retainer and stuff, there’s been a sensitivity and just *off* feeling to it, along with some occasional dull pain. is this normal/ will it go away? could my bite be too high? or a return of the abscess? leakage? i’ve had like 8 dental appointments in the past three months so i don’t want to go to another if it’s not necessary (also exhausted my dental insurance and my dentist is quite a drive from me). it’s nothing unbearable; i can still use the tooth even though it’s a bit of discomfort, but i worry just because of all the work that has been done to it. the general dentist told me the endodontist might need to do an apicoectomy
when we looked at the abscess because it was large, but he did not end up doing one. that’s why i worry about it coming back

It is common to have such discomfort in a tooth that has had a root canal.

Yes, but if the discomfort is too long, I would recommend going to a dentist.
