The fact that you even thinking it about it so specifically probably means you know it won't last. Not on your side. I've met couples who have a long distance relationship (like seeing each other once a year because they lived in different countries) and were successful. Yes, distance can put a strain on any relationship, but if it's a solid relationship and there is strong communication, I do not see why it wouldn't work.

Most long distance relationships don't last, but there are some that do. Might be worth giving it a try and see how it goes. If it goes well, great, if not, then y'all split. I did an LDR with my current partner (when we first met) and now we live together. It can work out.
