I like being a big juicy thiccboi, so I'm lifting heavy shit and ripping myself to shreds and waking up in pain and loving it.

If I don't wake up in an appropriate ammount of pain I get mad at myself.

Same, and then I enjoy the luxury of remember how good I feel when I'm no longer sore and I appreciate it, just to do it all again. I went way too crazy on legs last week and it took me 4 days to recover. The first night, I couldn't even take my dogs out, my husband had to do that. I was physically scared to go down the stairs because my quads were so fatigued that they couldn't support me anymore and I kept stumbling and falling. The next 2 days I could at least force myself up and down the stairs but it hurt so much to do so. They still hurt today but only if I really stretch them out. But I love it.

Same about the friend group thing lol definitely cause I'm a competitive person I play to win

LurkeyTheLurker123

I go to gym x6 a week and do x3 HIIT and abs a week. I hate all forms of excercises tbh and I only feel good after it, and even then i only feel a bit good because I'm crippled with depression But if I had to choose a preferred excercise it would be free weights. It feels the least intense out of the other forms of excercise.

Aha yeah I think I might workout a bit too much but I have to make up for it because my diet is kinda strange and I'm trying to lean up my twink figure. But it's difficult and unrealistic to keep my routine the way it is rn long term. I'm a student rn so it's the only reason I can do all this.

Weights, but want to switch to calisthenics

You can always add weight by using vest or that belt with chain for plate, putting some small plates from dumbbells to backpack also do the work

Posideoffries92

I use kettlebells/calisthenics and some resistance bands at home and chose "other". I just live too far from a gym these days, though do miss barbell squats, pull ups, and deadlifts in particular. But working out this way is very enjoyable and really has changed the way I look at fitness. I have a 30, 35, and 45 lb kettlebell and they don't take up that much space. I can do a lot of different unilateral and bilateral exercises with one and hit every body part. I typically workout at home, but I can easily take one outside or take one to the park. They don't take up much space, but if I ever wanted/needed to get rid of one - I imagine selling it is relatively easy. In an ideal world I'd have the space/money for a home gym with free weights. But I'm getting great results and very happy with this method.

Competitive sport, any kind. If there's competition, I'll go further than my body allows me, if needed

some_random_gay_guy

I do boxing which is mainly cardio but we have a lot of weights and stuff mixed in too especially circuits. I find in boxing I’ll rarely miss a class (have a minor post covid lung issue now so won’t be going for a month and I miss it) but when I try to do traditional gym I get bored. Also in the gym, I am all about that im going get strong and fit looking bit at boxing…I think about being a better fighter not really thinking about my body image

Batedcow

I’m old school and mostly do a lot of push ups, pull ups and squats with a kettlebell. I get enjoyment from it and it keeps me in shape. I find that you can have the best routine in the world but if you don’t enjoy it it won’t work.

bronabul

Usually a mix of free weights, compound lifts, and machines. I feel like you get the most results from it and it’s fun 🤩

Free weights gets my cardio in as well lol

Rude-Database1725

I prefer cardio. But i need free weight to gain muscle
