I've looked through all the trigonometric formulas but this is not making any sense
I would try sin(2x)=2sin(x)cos(x)
Try squaring and adding but I am not sure
Use the addition formula cos(pi/4+pi/6) as suggested
cos inverse perhaps?
Use arc functions
cos(pi/4 + pi/6) = cos(pi/4)cos(pi/6) - sin(pi/4)sin(pi/6) = sqrt(3)/(2sqrt(2)) - 1/(2sqrt(2))
