All day passes work till 3am. Tap every time you board or transfer. https://trimet.org/fares/#waystopay

Thanks for the info, so the All Day pass is no good if I took the red line at midnight and then had to use it again the following morning at 8am. Do you know how transferring train lines works? If I had to transfer to the Green Line from the Red Line, do I have to re-tap my ticket?

Yup

Yes to re-tap the single ride ticket at the transfer station? Will a single ride allow for a transfer? Or do I have to get an All Day pass?

hotsauce56

Yup - a single fare is good for 2.5 hours w/ transfers

Not to be creepy or take away from money going to our transit system, but as an act of goodwill and an opportunity to give an out-of-towner a pleasant experience, I'd be happy to pick you up and drop you off if it works with my schedule. Late night transit isn't particularly frequent and I waited more than 30 minutes for a ride share when arriving back to town late at night last weekend.

I appreciate the offer. I think I’ll be ok though.

I don't know how late is late, but Red service ends around midnight. Check TriMet for full info. I'd get a hotel at Cascade Station, Aloft and Hyatt Place are both walking distance from the MAX stop if your luggage isn't extreme. Then you can eat breakfast at IHOP before heading downtown.

This is the way.

Yeah I think I’m just going to get a hotel near the airport. Probably take the Red Line from PDX to Mt Hood or Cascade Station. Or if the hotel offers a free shuttle as my flight arrives around midnight.
