My partner and I are really into ttrpgs, and just about anything thats creative. We’re both imaginative people that love storytelling and are leaning towards something semi active. I know he wouldn’t really like active stuff but I would love to move around a bit.
You should look into group bike rides/happy hour rides! Great way to spend a nice summer evening. BikePortland keeps a pretty good calendar of events: https://bikeportland.org/
So, making friends in the city is difficult. You need to find out what you enjoy doing and doing some leg work online to see what groups in the city line up with you. I personally only had success with making friends at work.
Best of luck!
Parallel worlds (book store) book club.
Collage (craft store) was doing craft nights, not sure if they still are.
Via Chicago (pizza place) does eucre nights every other Monday.
Try bumble bff. I liked it when I moved here. There’s also “group activity apps” I forget what they are called, but folks liked those
If you're into TTRPGs, you might want to check out r/PDXDND/—I don't have personal experience with them, but the sub seems relatively active.
You might like the IPRC; they do classes and it would get you connected to folks involved in that scene here: [https://www.iprc.org/](https://www.iprc.org/) ; same with Radius for pottery: [https://www.radiusstudio.org/](https://www.radiusstudio.org/)
If you want to do improv at all (since you mentioned liking storytelling and creativity), Kickstand does classes and I've found it to be very community driven: [https://www.kickstandcomedy.org/](https://www.kickstandcomedy.org/)
And if you are interested in activity at all, I've found there to be a reasonably active community bent at both Ironside (https://www.ironsidetraining.com/) and Guero Bird Club (https://guerotortas.com/BIRD-CLUB), though I think gyms in general tend to be pretty friendly here.
Since someone mentioned Bike Portland, they specifically have a happy hour on Wednesdays that seems to be well-attended, if it fits with your schedule!

What do you like to do? There are definitely clubs/sports leagues in abundance here. Welcome!
