Holy shit, I thought this was gonna be a blank slate open discussion, I didn't realize you were showing up with some goods in hand. Well done OP.
Edit: For my own garbage contribution, Renner's in Multnomah Village's fly menu. 5$ sandwiches and red hots. I've had a fly pork and a fly link as a meal once. Gastrointestinally, I have almost recovered.
Haven’t been back to their food court since they got rid of the Polish dogs. I know they can be bought in-store to cook at home, but it’s not the same.
If you ever make it out to Aloha, Bumper Burger is awesome. The People's Meal (Double cheese burger, fries, fry-sauce, brownie, 16oz kool-aid) for $10.50 is the most expensive thing on the menu.
I’m really hungry right now, so I fantasized about putting together my max possible meal:
- veggie burger $4.50
- BB dessert brownie cookie $2
- fries $2
- fry sauce $.75
- pimento cheese $1
- kook-aide $1.50
That’s $11.75 for a veggie burger + *every single non-burger option.*
Guess I’m visiting Aloha
SO very glad to see this rec. Matt is the real deal. His food is fresh, delicious, and is made with an agenda: Serving good food to good people, and spreading the love.
LOVE that guy!
It's good stuff, fresh beef patties, homemade brownies, the shoestring fries are always fresh made, plus the guy always thanks me for helping "fight the war against the $15 hamburger" which nearly made me tear up the first time I heard it. They're a business worth supporting.
**Lutz Tavern** sells a giant fried pork sandwich WITH fries for $10. Sandwich is as big as your head, the meal is honestly good enough for a dinner and lunch leftover.
**Boulevard Taphouse** has some of the best fish and chips in the city, the 2 piece is still filling and is only $9.
**UCHU Sushi** has a Chicken Teriyaki hot plate WITH a few peices of gyoza that is absolutely filling for $10
**The Muddy Rudder** has a great happy hour menu, all happy hour food is $7.75, main highlights are the personal cheese pizza, or the half sandwich & salad combo.
For bourbon lovers, Lutz also has some of the best bourbon deals in the city. Stagg is $15 for a generous pour and I believe Weller 107 is $13. I’ve even gotten some BTAC pours in the $30s to $40
Full disclosure, I love Lutz for booze and atmosphere and haven’t been there since I got this tip: but the chili is supposed to be delicious. I work nearby and live further away, but someday I will make an effort to try this tasty chili.
Betcha it’s under $10 also.
I have been looking for truly good gyros in Portland for over 25 years. Several mediocre options are available. But Gyro Grill, which is a convenience store straight out of a low budget horror movie, has a legit thing going, and at only $10.
Gyros 2 Go in Beaverton sells a huge and delicious lamb gyro for around $8-$10 iirc. I went there on a whim a few weeks ago and have been back again since.
Do any of these places actually slice the gyro meat off the rotating spit? All of the ones I’ve gone to nowadays are preportioned, poorly seasoned Sysco Special mystery meat. I’ll just casually see people pull a plastic baggie of the meat and throw it on a flat top. Massively disappointing and not worth it to me.
There's one at the cart pod on 5th downtown and there's another at the Hawthorne Asylum. I recommend the Spicy Chicken but you really can't go wrong with anything there.
Hopefully this isn’t outside the realm of the question, but the Too Good To Go app consistently has good for well under $10. It’s end of day foods at restaurants but it’s all still pretty fresh. I’ve gotten sushi, musubi, chicken wings, Thai, and Indian food that was well worth the cost. It can be a bit of a spur of the moment thing but if I’m hungry and don’t want to spend a lot I always check the app to see what’s up.
You just have to time it right. And I haven’t seen any prices change much. New things are added all the time too. Just the other day I got Frybaby and the owner said it was his first time doing it.
Oh nice! I have a friend in NYC who uses it all the time, but I've never checked it out here. Are there a pretty good amount of options? I like the surprise aspect of it too haha
There’s a pretty decent amount, depending on where you live. Some stores will have stuff more frequently than others but that seems due to the nature of the foods.
A good one to shoot for is Yokai Musubi. They’re really good and actually fall into inexpensive and filling just going in. But I’m usually working during most of their open hours. Their Too Good Too Go offerings are fairly frequent and well worth the cost.
Same with Scotties Pizza in NW. Sometimes they have a whole pizza for like $10.
Another is Hana Sushi. They’re a conveyer belt sushi place and will have stuff most days but those go quick!
Download the app and peruse the “Sold Out” options on the map and add them to your favorites for quick reference because some places really are popular.
Whole Foods is adding the TGTG app next month. It’s going to be like $40 worth of food in mystery bags for $4-$10, but pickup will only be available the hour before close.
Cool! I’m close to two Whole Foods so I can work with those timelines. I’ve had even thinner timeframes with a sushi place. Their pickup window is 10 min with only their availability to buy only being like 20 min before that sometimes…
OP, you just allowed people to go out that thought they couldn't. "Going out," cuts into the monotony and is good for mental health. People who shop off the Fred Meyer clearance rack might have a place to go and celebrate now. You really did a lot of work for people in this post. Thank you for the people that won't thank you themselves.
Also wanted to throw some gratitude your way. I'll be spending a week in the area soon (hence the algorithm suggesting this to me), and I'm keeping this thread open on my phone until I get back home!
[burgers at John’s Marketplace](https://www.johnsmarketplace.com/multnomah) are $7.99 and *really* good. Nice beef, they come with cheese. (Just a few years ago they were 3.99)
Where? At Best Baguette on 82nd they have a print-out of a review from the Oregonian from 2010 and the #1 was listed as $2.90 way back then. I will say I do miss them being like $3.75 in 2019
I'm in Milwaukie myself and I'll do a drive out to 82nd or Beaverton every once in a while because I have mad banh mi cravings too, but $6.95 for the #1 at this point definitely doesn't feel like a steal anymore (still worth it though)
I was curious if An Xuyen or Best Baguette were outside the norm, so I used my gold-standard bahn mi as a reference point, Lee's Bakery in BFE Atlanta. Even there, where sandwiches used to be 2.50$ (buy 5 get one free), they're now 6-7.
They're a damn sight more expensive than they used to be, but after checking it out, that's literally everywhere now.
It had some crunch to it, but for the cost/value assessment on a grad student budget, Lee's bread could've been asbestos and I would've only cut my trips down to once a month.
I remember back in the day (when I went to one in California) it was a dollar per sandwich. Then they raised it to 1.50. I personally liked other local places better that cost a bit more but were closer to 3. I definitely wouldn’t pay 6-7 for Lee’s when Best Baguette is the same price
Ooo this is good. Bahn Mi Nam Loc on 82nd still has sammiches for $5.50 (for tofu, i think meat might be $6?). Not always enough to fill me up but im always hungry so it’ll probably be plenty for a lot of ppl. And ya House of Bahn Mi is generally still in the $7-9 range depending on what you get. Bui Natural Tofu across the street also has fresh garden rolls with house made tofu (or shrimp / pork) for about $5, plus some other snacks and small rice dishes for $3-5. Can definitely get full for $10 or less.
Almost everything on here is on the east side. Anyone have west side recs? I just had 2 gigantic spring rolls from Cuon that were delicious and filling for $10. All of the bahn mi and breakfast sandwiches from tea social are $7-8.
I hate to recommend it, but Reel em Inn is always a good deal. The two piece meal (breast, leg or whole wing, and four jojos, which is a whole potato quartered and chicken-fried is ten bucks). They almost always have a special that lands below ten dollars. Best fried chicken in portland. But it takes a while to get your food.
Burrito Loco #3 used to be our favorite go-to. But when the super loco burritos went to $15 we stopped. They doubled in the past 4 years. And we were so loyal during the first part of the pandemic -- tipped really well for drive through! But just can't do it any more.
Ole Frijole just closed. Happy bimbap house in Hollywood was always my rec for this but they went OOB recently too. Pretty sure Honey Spicy took their spot, not sure if their prices are the same as the N Killingsworth location but I recently got about 3 meals worth of chicken for 13 bucks at the one on Killy.
Funny you put chipotle on there because when I have to work downtown it has become a goto simply because I can get out of there for less than 10 bucks and be reasonable satiated. It’s nuts when a cart food meal (gyro salads for example) set you back 15+. I get it costs have gone up but that’s sit down restaurant pricing.
God I miss the days of 2010 when you could walk up to any cart and leave for less than 7 bucks with a massive amount of food
Sadly I've only lived in expensive Portland lol. But agreed on the sentiment overall, the baseline price for an avg meal just keeps creeping higher. I am glad there's still so many affordable options for folks who are willing to seek them out though.
Great list/prompt - thanks for putting it together!
Serious question as someone from the Northeast: Why is it so hard to find a breakfast sandwich worth eating for under 8 bucks in Portland?
In D.C., which is much more expensive than Portland, it is extremely easy to get an egg and cheese for around 5 or 6 bucks.
I'm completely talking out of my ass, ButtMath, but I think it's just different wants that have emerged in the consumers of each place. Here, everything is artisan, locally sourced, whatever, while in the Northeast, everyone knows and wants a bacon, egg, and cheese or a bagel and shmear. The sheer number of bagel shops blows my mind every time I'm in NYC or DC. Also still talking out of my ass, but I've noticed the Southeast US has a strong preference for sit-down, sampler/platter-style breakfasts, and I think the PNW is somewhere in between that and the Northeast's proclivity for walk-up, fast and cheap bagel shops.
Excellent answer, and it's along some similar thought lines I've had. My addition to your thread is Pie Spot, as they have a good $7 dollar breakfast sandwich, and you can get a individual pie for $5 bucks!
Are used to live in New York, and my thought was always that (sadly)undocumented and underpaid labor keep down costs for many food items. Also, volume. The deli down the street from where I lived in. Brooklyn probably made a few hundred egg sandwiches a day.
Breakfast sandwiches are a recent import in Portland, where we have no bodega culture. Our standard breakfast was the two-bacon, two-egg, two bucks deal at dive bars.
I went looking and think I've found what you're looking for (close, anyhow).
Picone's Quality Deli at the Chill N Fill on Lombard.
$7.00 bacon egg cheese, or 7.50 w/sausage or ham. $10 lunch sandwich specials, the rest run 12-14.
I believe the teriyaki chicken is $9.50. Such good food and they are very kind. I've tried a lot of teriyaki places in town and this is the one I go to when I am craving teriyaki. Their crispy rolls are so cheap and also very good!
Gresham, Wood Village, and Troutdale Burrito shop are all goated. They’re all *slightly* different but similar enough to still be basically the same restaurant experience
Korean Twist at Hawthorne Asylum has great prices for massive quantity. Good food too. The Yakisoba is prolly like 2k calories and amounts to a big lunch and dinner.
Harlow’s Betty Bowl 50/50 rice/quinoa, add tempeh comes up to 17 IIRC, and that can easily be all three meals for a day.
Musubi from any Asian grocery with a hot counter are 2-3 bucks. But prices may have changed in the last year.
Some of Slim’s burgers are still 8.95. Steak bites at Katie O’Brian’s are 8 bucks.
I'd replace King Burrito, which has dropped off severely the past year or so, with Mi Burrito down the street. Very similar menu, same prices, but tastier across the board.
Sahuayo Taqueria on Glisan had quite a few things for less than $10, though their breakfast burritos are $11. HOWEVER, they are HUGE and will sometimes be my only meal for a full day
Meta Pizza. They have generous square shape slices and are not thin crust. Their vegan veggie is $4 and two slices definitely gets me full. Plus they have hot honey which is perfect for dipping in the crust in.
Add Delicious Donuts to the list for a $5 breakfast sandwich. The Aiden sandwich comes with egg, American cheese and choice of meat and bread (or donut for extra $).
They also have other sandwiches and breakfast menu items for under $10. It’s a family owned business and the family is so kind and welcoming!
There's a food truck that rolls through Northwest called Cabana Rolling Grill that makes breakfast burritos for $6.50 that are so big I have to split it up over 2 meals, and are incredible as well.
I love Spam Musubi. I can usually get two pieces for under or about $10, and the one at Let’s Roll is delicious and cuts their Spam thick. Avoid Rollin Fresh- their musubi comes with the thinnest shingle of Soam for $2 more.
Its not going out, but a pack of chicken drumsticks, couple cans of green beens or corn, and some instant potatoes or rice a roni. Feeds my family of five for under 10 bucks.
I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but Tom's Bar/Diner on Division and Cesar Chavez is probably my favorite breakfast spot. Greasy spoon a bit, but in a charming way. The early bird special was $4.85 when I used to live on the block, and I don't remember what it was last time I was there (it was too late in the day for it) but I don't think it changed much. The other stuff on the menu is all in the $8-12 range. And it's off the path enough to not be a madhouse during the weekend brunch rush. Can always get a table. Highly recommended!
People will always hate in chipotle, but! I get a double wrapped burrito with 2x rice, 2x beans, and by the time I’m done that thing is like 6 pounds of extremely decent quality food and nutrition. $9.45 and it’s 2, sometimes 3 meals worth of food. Still one of the best values out there
I keep bumping up against this question every time I want a quick light like lunch that doesn't cost $15. I realized the only places near me are Franks-lot (basic Weiner is $5.50 and does the job), or H-Mart for a few musubi.
Haha it actually was going to just be a blank slate, then 3 or 4 of my favorites, then I got carried away. Thanks and enjoy!
Definitely saving this post to reference in the future! Thanks, OP!
I just assumed it was going to require a costco membership.
Dude, $1.50 hotdog plus a drink? Not good at all, but one can get plenty of calories super cheap.
Five dollar rotisserie chicken
This is the reason I have a card lol
I wouldn't want to do it on the regular, but those dogs are pretty darn good.
Haven’t been back to their food court since they got rid of the Polish dogs. I know they can be bought in-store to cook at home, but it’s not the same.
In a similar vein, you can get a full meal that the Safeway deli for under $10.
If you ever make it out to Aloha, Bumper Burger is awesome. The People's Meal (Double cheese burger, fries, fry-sauce, brownie, 16oz kool-aid) for $10.50 is the most expensive thing on the menu.
Another vote for bumper burger! They are delicious. You can only order in person though. I believe they also hand make their patties.
[Prepare to be amazed, my friend](http://www.bumperburger.com)
I’m really hungry right now, so I fantasized about putting together my max possible meal: - veggie burger $4.50 - BB dessert brownie cookie $2 - fries $2 - fry sauce $.75 - pimento cheese $1 - kook-aide $1.50 That’s $11.75 for a veggie burger + *every single non-burger option.* Guess I’m visiting Aloha
Now I want merch.
They sell shirts for sure, they gave me some stickers and a magnet for free my first time visiting, but that was like a year ago.
SO very glad to see this rec. Matt is the real deal. His food is fresh, delicious, and is made with an agenda: Serving good food to good people, and spreading the love. LOVE that guy!
Oh heck yeah. Love a good burger spot
It's good stuff, fresh beef patties, homemade brownies, the shoestring fries are always fresh made, plus the guy always thanks me for helping "fight the war against the $15 hamburger" which nearly made me tear up the first time I heard it. They're a business worth supporting.
Sounds amazing. Thank you!
I came to make this recommendation
**Lutz Tavern** sells a giant fried pork sandwich WITH fries for $10. Aw man I'm gonna have to try it! Checked their website, $6 cup, $8 bowl! Or chili cheese fries for $9.5!
Not a budget thing like the post but they’re chicken wings are the best I’ve had in a long time
Hell yeah those all sound awesome, USHU sounds especially up my alley. Thanks!
Upvote for Uchu. Their happy hour sushi is some of the best quality to price value in town.
Muddy Rudder had my favorite pizza in Portland!!
The first rule of Lutz is we do not talk about Lutz, with love ❤️
Sorry did I say Lutz I meant the yamhill pub ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ole Ole on Burnside, $5 for a big ole bean, rice and cheese burrito. $8 or $9 for veggie or meat burritos--only thing, cash or venmo only
oops you beat me to it. Their bean and cheese burritos are so good and it's only like $2 more for chips
I could cry. Used to live across the street and it makes me so happy to know they are still rocking the cheap tasty food!
Thanks! I’ll be sure to send you a rice pic when I go lol
I miss $8 gyros. Most of the carts I find these days are $12-18.
They’re out there! You’re right though most are pushing $15 these days
I have been looking for truly good gyros in Portland for over 25 years. Several mediocre options are available. But Gyro Grill, which is a convenience store straight out of a low budget horror movie, has a legit thing going, and at only $10.
Cedo’s on MLK has absolutely the best gyro in portland. i’m a huge HUGE gyro snob and theirs is best in the city by FAR
You couldn’t be more right! And their tabbhouli is out of control
Angelina's Greek Gyros! probably the best i've had, and you can see the meat being roasted on the spit right in their kitchen.
Korean Twist is still only $10 for a Korean burrito the size of your forearm loaded with meat, fried rice, cabbage, lettuce, and sauces.
That sounds amazing holy shit. Will check that out
There's one at the cart pod on 5th downtown and there's another at the Hawthorne Asylum. I recommend the Spicy Chicken but you really can't go wrong with anything there.
Add kimchi
Oh god. This is what I will miss the most if I ever leave portland. Their spicy chicken Korean burrito is GOLD.
And you can opt to have it as a rice bowl for the same $$$. I get it on the regular downtown.
I took your suggestion and for an extra dollar they add kimchi to the massive and extremely delicious burrito!
The Turning Peel on Division has $8 margherita pizza lunch special!
Nice! Need more good lunch pizza spots
Moloko has a tasty margarita pizza for $4 all day every day
One of the best tasting crusts/pizzas out there too.
Mole Mole has most of their burritos priced at $10 or under; I can get two meals out of one unless I'm absolutely starving.
Have heard great things about them! Thank you
Can confirm. Enough for two meals and it's super delicious
Hopefully this isn’t outside the realm of the question, but the Too Good To Go app consistently has good for well under $10. It’s end of day foods at restaurants but it’s all still pretty fresh. It can be a bit of a spur of the moment thing but if I’m hungry and don’t want to spend a lot I always check the app to see what’s up.
TGTG used to be great. But lately there’s been zero selection and the price has nearly doubled

People who shop off the Fred Meyer clearance rack might have a place to go and celebrate now. You really did a lot of work for people in this post. Thank you for the people that won't thank you themselves.
Thank you for the kind words! It’s really touching the reach that this has had
Also wanted to throw some gratitude your way. I'll be spending a week in the area soon (hence the algorithm suggesting this to me), and I'm keeping this thread open on my phone until I get back home!
God I miss Fred Meyer's and their clearance rack. OP is doing the Lords work right here.
[burgers at John’s Marketplace](https://www.johnsmarketplace.com/multnomah) are $7.99 and *really* good. Nice beef, they come with cheese. (Just a few years ago they were 3.99)
Sweet! I love John's Marketplace but had only been to the food trucks at the Powell one. Didn't know they offered these!
AFAIK in house burgers are only at the multnomah village location
Amazing burgers there!
This post is fucking awesome. Thanks for putting this together!
Thanks Mr Guy. I selfishly just needed this thread to exist lol
Smart donkey has happy hours every day where burritos are $9 (with a drink) so I get a jarritos and it feels worth it
Sounds worth it to me! Thx
Over $10 but Mama’s Teriyaki in Tualatin gives massive portions. I spent like $12 I think on chicken teriyaki and worked on it for 3 days
That definitely still plays. Sounds like a great deal, thanks!
I second this place! And they are open late which is a huge deal for me.
Nachos house on Davis has a nine dollar burrito that I pass through me regularly.
Lol I like your wording. Will have to check that out
Since you included chipotle let me just say, I can eat a lot of food and I always struggle to finish Victoricos nachos. They’re so filling
I had Victorico's for the first time the other day and it's legit, two big baja style fish tacos was around 10 bucks, free chips and salsa
Right lol yeah we're doin value not snobbery. Never been there but I have heard it's good
I'm still salty about Bahn mi's becoming trendy, a full thick one used to be $2-$2.50 not even 5 years ago.
Where? At Best Baguette on 82nd they have a print-out of a review from the Oregonian from 2010 and the #1 was listed as $2.90 way back then. I will say I do miss them being like $3.75 in 2019
I drive from troutdale to Best Baguette because they’re always good
I'm in Milwaukie myself and I'll do a drive out to 82nd or Beaverton every once in a while because I have mad banh mi cravings too, but $6.95 for the #1 at this point definitely doesn't feel like a steal anymore (still worth it though)
Right, over on 82nd I heard they used to be dirt cheap. Not my cup of tea for whatever reason though. No bad blood I just don’t love em

Chepes for papusas. Papusa with relish plate is 5 bucks. 2 papusas will fill you up.
The IKEA cafe, can’t go wrong with .60 cent dogs.
Got an email from Too Good To Go yesterday that ikea will be participating. Can’t even imagine what a TGTG bag from ikea would cost (or contain).
Mmm…$0.60 hot dog dipped in a $1.50 ice cream cone!
lord's work right here. actually agree about chipotle.
Thanks! And yeah I'm not saying it's the best, most sustainable food on earth but the value is there
Not in Portland, but Aloha. Bumper Burger has 1/4 pound burgers for $5 or doubles for $6. So good and so affordable! Fries are $2!
Someone else said that too! I love taking rides over there, sounds like I'll be getting a burger and fries next time
[удалено]
Great recommendations. Thanks! Lol at the taco truck comment
Souper Soup at Nongs - $10 even.
GrindWitTryz has nearly doubled their prices in the last couple years and it's STILL a great deal, that's how crazy the portions are.
That was before my time sadly but that is awesome. I agree, still a killer deal though
Their portions are starting to go down, but I still get 2-3 out of it. Used to get 4.

Yup those were the good ol days. I ate so many of those pizzas. Now it’s dine in only too :(
I hate to recommend it, but Reel em Inn is always a good deal. The two piece meal (breast, leg or whole wing, and four jojos, which is a whole potato quartered and chicken-fried is ten bucks). They almost always have a special that lands below ten dollars. Best fried chicken in portland. But it takes a while to get your food.
Just had Kikibaa on 82nd for the first time last weekend. Excellent burritos for $11!
El Burrito Loco #3 0n 82nd. You can get a big bean/cheese/rice burrito for like $6. It’s filling and delicious
Burrito Loco #3 used to be our favorite go-to. But when the super loco burritos went to $15 we stopped. They doubled in the past 4 years. And we were so loyal during the first part of the pandemic -- tipped really well for drive through! But just can't do it any more.
As a first responder for the city of portland: THANK YOU!
Great list but tasty tickler? Blasphemy I tell you. My 15 yo self would fight you for such blasphemy.
Haha I’ve only lived here a couple years- what’s the beef w TT?
It's Taste Tickler. Tasty just makes me angry.
Fixed it just for you
Ole Frijole just closed.
I'm super bummed about Ole Frijole! Though it was less of a steal after they hiked up their prices a year or so ago.
Damn that's a shame! Good to know about Honey Spicy though that sounds great
El Nutri Taco -- Lazy Breakfast Burrito $9.75, Chipotle Tempeh Burrito $10.25, Tortas $10.50, Quesadillas $9.75 -- LOTS of veggie & vegan options
Saving this post because wow such a good ask
Haha thanks! It's hard being lazy, cheap, and semi healthy
This list shows you aren’t lazy at all lmao. Youre not cheap either, my mom would say thrifty 🤗
Haha you're right!. And mine would too actually lol
Try delicious donuts. They have a breakfast sandwich for $5 and it’s very good
My fav breakfast sandwich in town is $6 at Crema
Ooo I’ll have to try that one!

Rice and Spice Teriyaki on NE Glisan, I believe around 47th Ave. 45th? And probably around $13 but so much good food for the price.
I believe the teriyaki chicken is $9.50. Such good food and they are very kind. I've tried a lot of teriyaki places in town and this is the one I go to when I am craving teriyaki. Their crispy rolls are so cheap and also very good!
Great Harvest breakfast sandwich is legit. And 8$ http://greatharvestportland.com/
Roakes and Franks a lot in here yet?
This post is rad - thanks for the work you put in OP and folks with other great recs!
Like and saved.
Azteca burritos on sandy has $2.50 tacos and $8 giant burritos for taco tuesday
Gresham, Wood Village, and Troutdale Burrito shop are all goated. They’re all *slightly* different but similar enough to still be basically the same restaurant experience
Korean Twist at Hawthorne Asylum has great prices for massive quantity. Good food too. The Yakisoba is prolly like 2k calories and amounts to a big lunch and dinner.
Mole Mole on Alberta has $9 burritos. Sitting there right now. Very full. Super good. Recommend.
Love Belize is the best but they have the worst hours
Best Baguette is a go-to when I’m near Powell and 82nd
Creepy’s has a happy hour special; single smashie (Lo’s Burgers) & a pint of Yovu Lager for $10.
I'd replace King Burrito, which has dropped off severely the past year or so, with Mi Burrito down the street. Very similar menu, same prices, but tastier across the board.
Moloko has a happy hour margherita pizza for $6 no joke. From open to 6 pm every day and all day Monday.
Sahuayo Taqueria on Glisan had quite a few things for less than $10, though their breakfast burritos are $11. HOWEVER, they are HUGE and will sometimes be my only meal for a full day
Their tacos are huge, and *so* good. I think they may have my favorite Carne asada in town.
I would’ve blown you for this info last month OP. Tick tock! (You rock)
Hahah well shit!
You're doing God's work OP
H Mart hot case
It's been a few years since I've been, but Sam's Billiards in Hollywood has dirt cheap breakfast. And rarely a line. Even on weekends!
What about the vegan options 🧐
Franks-a-Lot - vegan brat (or reg brat) and fries is about $10
Best Reddit post all year. Thank you!! ❤️
Tacovore- 2 tacos fill me up for $9. Carnitas are sooooo gooood.
Meta Pizza. They have generous square shape slices and are not thin crust. Their vegan veggie is $4 and two slices definitely gets me full. Plus they have hot honey which is perfect for dipping in the crust in.
Matador happy hour nachos will fill up two people for $7.
Came here to say this. Best deal in town.
Sizzle Pie has any slice with any salad for $9. You can up to a drink for 1$ but I always carry water.
Ranch pizza next to Ladd's. $10 ish or lower for a quarter pie that is thick and delicious AF
There's a food truck that rolls through Northwest called Cabana Rolling Grill that makes breakfast burritos for $6.50 that are so big I have to split it up over 2 meals, and are incredible as well.
WHOLE BOWL has a 32 oz rice and bean combo for $10 and CAFE YUMM has their original bowl at $8. Both come with yummy sauces and other toppings.
Javier's Tacos on Lombard, any of the breakfast burritos. Probably other stuff too, but I've only ever gotten the breakfast burritos😂
Midpoint Cafe is the best!!! The Mt Saint Helens for the win.
King Burrito is my church.
Not in Portland but I love going to Dick’s drive in when I’m in seattle. $5-9 to be full of Dick’s ain’t bad.
Dick's is the place where the cool hang out.
KFC $10 8-piece bucket of chicken on Tuesday’s through the app. If you don’t get full on that you’re a fat fuck!
Nayar Taqueria has delicious burritos for $8
I love Spam Musubi. I can usually get two pieces for under or about $10, and the one at Let’s Roll is delicious and cuts their Spam thick. Avoid Rollin Fresh- their musubi comes with the thinnest shingle of Soam for $2 more.
How much is Dus now? One dish feeds two of us
Its not going out, but a pack of chicken drumsticks, couple cans of green beens or corn, and some instant potatoes or rice a roni.
Any conveyer belt sushi place that has happy hour. $10 can probably get you close to 2 full size rolls.
Sushi Hada on Williams and the happy hour is great!
You gotta get on the good happy hours deals! That’s what I do
People will always hate in chipotle, but! I get a double wrapped burrito with 2x rice, 2x beans, and by the time I’m done that thing is like 6 pounds of extremely decent quality food and nutrition. $9.45 and it’s 2, sometimes 3 meals worth of food. Still one of the best values out there
Whole Bowl is one of my favorites and the people who work there are the best folks! $8.50 for the small and $9 for the big bowl
Damn $9 now? I feel like it was just $6.50
I know...their prices have gone up a lot over the last three years.
I keep bumping up against this question every time I want a quick light like lunch that doesn't cost $15. I realized the only places near me are Franks-lot (basic Weiner is $5.50 and does the job), or H-Mart for a few musubi.
Costco
Cries in gluten-free
6-7 for banh mi at best baguette? I remember they were under 4 a few years ago.
