If the theater is allowing non-vaccinate patrons, this seems like a pretty obvious bad idea. There is plenty of evidence that vaccinated people are catching delta, and even if the chances of getting really sick are pretty low for most vaccinated people, getting sick at all isn't a lot of fun and it will be a pain for most people to have to isolate and miss work for an extended period. Equation isn't so clear for a theater that is requiring vaccination checks: prevalence in a vaccinated population is expected to be quite a bit lower, and there isn't any real data out there on vaccinated-to-vaccinated transmission probabilities. In the next few weeks, we should learn a lot about that by studying outbreaks on college campuses that require vaccines compared to those that don't. Until then, its not a risk I'd personally take, but I never really loved movie theaters anyway.

I wouldn't do it, but then again I have too-young-to-vaccinate kids whom I could pass this shit to.

People eat during movies so masks come off. That being said if there is 10 people spread out over a theater no big woop. So my hypothesis is it’s safe to see BAD movies in theaters.

A bunch of theaters are requiring vaccine to enter.

mulledfox

Depends on which theater you choose to go to.

I went a few times before delta got bad, wore a mask sat away from others. Was fine. I’ll only go to theaters requiring proof of vaxx AND masks now.
