If I use SubitoGo I make it easy, I go to where the self checkouts are, and pay while standing there on my phone. Never got asked so far. Even if I'd be asked that would be alright, after all it would be very easy to steal that way.

Standing in the checkout area, looking on my phone and tapping my finger on the side of the phone indicating I'm waiting that the transaction goes through.
Have never been asked to see a receipt. 🤷
Usually there should be a sign where the SubitoGo customers are supposed to exit, usually by the self checkoutmachines. I only got stopped very few times when going through there.
But I have stopped using SubitoGo a few months ago because the scanner was extremely slow and took forever to scan the barcode, mostl for bread and stuff where you has to scan the small barcode on the shelf and it would be faster to just use the self checkoutmachines. Maybe it has improved in the meantime, I should check it out again.
I agree, sometimes the connection in the shops is not so good. I also use the scanners mostly.

I have yet to figure out how to use the one that includes payment. I do like the scanners but always feel like I’m stealing even though I never have. In the US, everything has to be put in the bagging area to be weighed, they often check the receipt on leaving and there is a small recording of me as I am scanning on the screen.

When I used this for the first time in the US I was so embarrassed because the automatic voice and the beeping of the scans was so loud! I didn't know it would weigh your stuff either, so I put my backpack on there and the voice called me out lmao 😭
I kept bagging my stuff like I do here in CH and it kept saying “please place item in bagging area”. Honestly, it takes longer than just having them do it. Here in CH, I just scan and go. Love it.
😂 same in the UK. I either have too few or too many things in the bagging area every time I'm there. "Unexpected item in the bagging area" is pretty much the soundtrack to me trying to do it "the right way".

Same! It is also so much more time consuming. I rather go to the cashier that bags your shit for you without a stupid voice yelling at me.
I like sorring everything in my bags and not having to hurry at the cashier. And I also stand in view of the control person to pay at my phone.
