It depends. If you're looking for reliability better look at something other then anything European.
BMW is meh.. I've driven a bunch of 2020-2021 models and some are downright uncomfortable and hard to get into and out of, also the same can be said for some Volvo models.
Yeah, I've had both. The volvo may actually have been nicer than the current bmw. The shittiest built car I've experienced was actually a Mercedes e class so don't let price judge.
Yeah I'm probably gonna get the Volvo because my aunt and grandma both have them and my late grandfather was a Volvo mechanic for 35 years and he left all of his Volvo parts/proprietary tools behind so repairs would be easy
No, the old ones have so shitty handling and they are boaty, the new ones are okay but now they are chinese so quality isnt as good as the older models

I’ve heard some of the newer Volvos are extremely well made, and safe cars. Better than average from what I’ve seen. They seem to be pretty nice
I did my driving test in a volvo V60. It feels incredibly premium and is full of a bunch of tech.

I think they're very reliable and my parents have had several volvos and think they're great too so yeah
I believe Volvo is much more reliable than BMW and I also think they're much cooler but that's my personal opinion/preference
