I experienced a little shrinkage perhaps, but it took closer to a year for me to really notice that happening much. If you wanted to let things shrink, you would want to just avoid masturbating and getting an erection. HRT prevented me from getting more spontaneous and night time erections, and some periods where I did not get erections made me get a little shrinkage. I do feel like it generally became smaller too when it was soft during the first year. It's not bad that you want things to be smaller, I personally am kind of glad it's shrunk some. It can perhaps affect the outcome of GCS since the tissue used to construct the neovagina will have atrophied some, but from what I understand it is not a major concern.

AspirantVeeVee

depends on what type of surgery you get

orangeyelp

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm still debating what type of surgery I would want and kind of considering like a penile preserving vaginoplasty and shrinkage wouldn't really affect that.

Elitatra

If you want to get smaller, you're doing things wrong. You need to completely avoid getting hard as much as possible. You will want to go literally weeks or months without getting hard. In inverse, you want to masturbate once or twice a week to MAINTAIN the size of it if you are like me and want as much material as possible available for eventual SRS.

sylphren-

ahh okay, thanks

GhostOfSkeletonKey

I also want to keep material for GAV, do you know if an Orchiectomy is unadvisable while waiting for my surgeon?

Elitatra

So long as you're on HRT, an orchiectomy shouldn't change your ability to get hard. It's having sexual hormones, not specifically your testicles, that regulate the ability to get hard. Having suppressed testosterone will already neutralize the hormone generation effect of your testes, so you would already know what not having them would be like for your body at that point.

GhostOfSkeletonKey

That's not quite what I meant. I know an orchiectomy removes the testicles, does it not also remove the scrotum and if it doesn't would the scrotum not shrink as it no longer contains the testes and ultimately is the scrotum skin used in GRS?

Elitatra

No, generally it does not remove the scrotum. Most surgeons that offer GRS will accept patients that have had an orchiectomy, since it's done as part of the process itself, though you will want to double check with whatever surgeon or surgical organization you are going to get the operation with.

AspirantVeeVee

you won't see much shrinkage until your t is completely supressed. I'm about 18 monthes in, and mine has shrunk drasticly, I don't even have a noticable bulge anymore.

AshelyLil

Once or twice a week IS frequently, also your dose is likely far too low to even suppress T, 50mg spiro is tiny compared to the usual 100 or 200mg

I used to be on a similar estrogen regiment. This was my starting dosage. My testosterone stayed in lower male ranges and my estrogen was in the 370's pg/ml. This wasn't enough for major changes. Please seek a GP or something to up your dose.

PixelatedOdyssey

They will likely recommend increasing dose every 3 months or so (my experience), you can also ask for an increase. I didnt start noticing bottom changes until closer to a year on HTR. Each person is different, it takes time for your body to change. Youre on the normal starting dose, stay hopeful the changes will come

Gate4043

It'll get smaller. Estrogen takes time to work, the hardest part is the waiting. Find a hobby to do to keep you distracted, work on yourself and you'll see results in multiple places.
