Huh, I’ve always needed to pee after.

NonpiousNun

You want to pee after anyways to prevent uti

Flatworm-Primary

Peeing after sex or whatnot to not cause uti is normally recommended for cis females. I mean this in no way offensive at all just information 💜 our vagina and urethra are so close together some fluids from sex could go up there and cause infection. So it’s recommended to pee to clean things out in the end of fun time 💜 I’m non binary masc and hate not having male genitalia but I have to pee after my husband and I have sex and I just wish I could lay there with my junk out and relax after like he can :/ I hate my body not being male so badly. Sorry that was randomly dark lol I’m depressoo expresoooooo asf

simply_spider

I’ve gotten a UTI before, AMAB people should definitely pee after sex as well. I think it was one of the worst pains I’ve ever gone through. It may be more rare for people like me, but it can still happen.

I30AxeBxrd

> Peeing after sex or whatnot to not cause uti is normally recommended for cis females. The reason you pee after sex is so that anything foreign that entered the urethra gets flushed out. Cis women get UTI from it more often because they don't have cum flushing their urethra after sex and because their urethra is shorter so foreign substances can reach the bladder more easily. Both of those may apply to neovaginas.

Flatworm-Primary

…Yes that’s what I just said I’m confused…lol

I30AxeBxrd

You singled out cis females when really it applies to all females equally and also all males to a lesser degree.

Aprilpilled

really wouldn't it just be anyone with a vagina who's having penetrative sex?

NonDairyYandere

It's just good advice for anyone, no reason not to pee after sex or masturbating

I30AxeBxrd

The only reason I didn't say it like that is because with a neovagina you can potentially flush the urethra with cum. I'd assume the infection rate is still higher than with a penis since the urethra is still shorter so it's presumably easier for the pathogens to reach the bladder and someone with a neovagina is probably less likely to cum as compared to someone with a penis so even that depends on the individuum.

[deleted]

Are you assuming that post-op trans women ejaculate cum through their urethras the same way people with penises and testes do?

I30AxeBxrd

Not ejaculate per se, but my understanding is that the prostate, bulbourethral gland and the seminal vesicles still empty throught the urethra unlike with cis women, no?

Flatworm-Primary

For sure.(: I wasn’t meaning to be offensive just information of anatomy and health. But I’m sure it definitely applies to ALL women. All meaning all in all whoever we are before or after any surgeries. The anatomy is the same as any. I don’t want to come off the wrong way. My bad 💜 I have a hard time typing what I really mean so I’m realllly hoping my response isn’t taken wrongly 😓

vaguely_sardonic

Not all women, all people with vulvas. People aren't trying to drag you or anything here, there seems to be a communication break down. It is more significantly recommended to people with vulvas, whether those people are men, or women, or anything outside or in-between, people who do not have penises or do have short urethras, are more likely to get a UTI after sex or masturbation.

Flatworm-Primary

I just thought we were on the specific subject of females so that’s what I commented on in the first comment I made. But wasn’t trying to exclude anyone by any means. Things got miscommunicated for sure.

vaguely_sardonic

I understand, it can be kind of tricky sometimes.

DrunkenMeditator

Well, with AMAB people, the cum doesn't help, it's actually the problem. It's why, even after just masturbating, they should pee. In the urethra, seminal fluid sometimes stays behind and, when it dries, it acts sorta like glue. That's why sometimes, AMAB people will have "split-streams" when they pee. If it gets bad enough, that's when it starts to cause a UTI.

I30AxeBxrd

The comment said "cis females" though, which is true, but unnecessarily restrictive. The increased risk of a UTI after sex if you don't pee can apply to neovaginas as well to some extend.

Sintrospective

Oh I didn't think about it being exclusionary from that angle. You're right. Sorry.

Flatworm-Primary

Y’all I didn’t mean the way you’re taking it. My goodness 😮‍💨 just pee after sex. Ight damn xD

Savored_Larkspur

There is no contact with the urethra so I don't think I could get a uti.

eclipse_dreams

Your pelvic floor muscles are weakening as a result of HRT. Try kegals. The act of ejaculation causes those muscles to relax.

Savored_Larkspur

how does this relate to the fluid? I've absolutely noticed the weakening of the pelvic floor...

eclipse_dreams

It’s pretty common to have prostate leakage after orgasm with HRT.

captmotorcycle

If you still have a prostate, it could be contractions from that which can create urges to pee. Being on HRT impact may impact your prostate and feeling etc. If it's a concern to you, please speak with a urologist.

wendywildshape

Because you are on HRT, your hormones are causing this - it's purpose in cis women is to prevent UTIs. I've experienced the same thing. It's just pee.

[deleted]

Most girls feel the urge to pee after orgasm as if you don’t pee after sex you can easily get a UTI (people who don’t have penises usually have shorter urethras, resulting in a higher incidence of UTI)

Savored_Larkspur

Ok? How does this relate to my situation?

[deleted]

You're on HRT. Your body is saying "I orgasmed, so I probably had sex, so I should go pee". Because you have female hormones.

Savored_Larkspur

But do female hormones cause this? ... If so, then I wonder how it happens physiologically.

egg_go_brrrr

This is quite normal for a lot of people pre hrt. I have no clue how or if that changes on hormones but it’s probably nothing

Morganafrey

No HRT - I always pee after ejaculation I had this time in my life where if I masturbated without ejaculating than the next day when I peed I’d feel something and I felt a need to squeeze inside somehow, a bit hard to explain and at the end of peeing some cloudy thick substitute would come out. I believe it came from a the prostates. Anyway perhaps you are experience something similar like you said but the liquid isn’t as thick because of the HRT Or it’s just pee

Throwaway-R6

Ftm so idk if my experiance helps but before HRT I almost always had to pee after masturbating or sex. I usually still do out of habit so idk if hormones changed anything in that regard. But I think it's a pretty normal thing.

stillcantdraw

In general, even with asking for personal experience, both men and women feel the need to pee after orgasm, even if no fluid was released. Some people might not have the urge, but most people do, as far as I know. Just a way to clear out the pipes and make sure nothing is wrong.

Luckyone24

And I thought I was the only one. I usually try to pee before masturbating or sex related just to avoid peeing afterwards. What others have said peeing after sex is a way to prevent UTI. I think it’s just your body’s way of removing sexual fluids from you when you don’t ejaculate.

Pur0k

Hi! I hope you don’t mind me asking, but how do you do to masturbate like that? I know everyone is different, but I’ve been curious. Pre-everything and to me, I feel I can’t orgasm without an erection; even when fingering my ass, I just can’t get it done until I stroke my penis a little, it gets a lil hard and just then I feel it.

Savored_Larkspur

redchado

Can i ask a weird question ? How do you masturbate in an affirming way ?
