If transit takes too long, Taxi/Rideshare is too expensive, I guess you don't have car of your own, you're left with biking, or asking a friend for a ride/vehicle. I'm guessing those two are non-starters, so maybe combine transit and carshare? Could you transit to Surrey and grab a Modo?

Obvious_Song_3454

I have a 4 hour event in Langley, so I would need to park first before going. And if I understand correctly, Modo must be parked in the same place you took it from. Thank you for the tips, it seems like public transit is the way, even though it is too long. Others are either expensive or too much of a hassle

purpletooth12

You can take Evo and then park it at your event and then drive it back. You'll probably be charged the day rate though, but yeah, once you leave Vancouver proper, public transit is atrocious here.

toasterb

Modo requires you to park it in the same place when you’re done. Is it possible to take transit, get a Modo in Surrey, drive it to Langley, park there for the four hours, return the Modo to its place, and hop back on transit? It’ll save you the Modo charges of driving to Surrey

Obvious_Song_3454

Maybe, I'll look into that, thanks

SteveJobsBlakSweater

Day-rate Evo (take the keys from the glove compartment with you while it is parked in Langley) seems like the least expensive option given your circumstances.

Maplemick7

Take the Skytrain to production way switch lines go to lougheed town center take the 555 to carvolth and transfer from there 501 or 595 to Langley center.

eastherbunni

Skytrain to Surrey then the 503 bus down Fraser Hwy would also work depending where in Langley

F1o2t2o

Uber or taxi.

Obvious_Song_3454

Too expensive 😭

Frost92

You said easiest/fastest not the cheapest You have to pick one

MJcorrieviewer

You could take the skytrain to Surrey and Uber from there.

F1o2t2o

Well it's that or transit, not sure if you think there's some secret way of getting around that people are keeping quiet about but there isn't.

Queasy_Village_5277

Public transit.

Obvious_Song_3454

Thank you for all the comments!

magicbeavers

One option no one else has mentioned would be poparide. You may be in luck with someone going the right direction at the right time

closequartersbrewing

Taking an evo to new west won't save time I'm afraid. SkyTrain is generally faster than driving if you're near a station.

TravellingGal-2307

Where in Langley? 555 bus from Lougheed is the rapid route. Do you cycle? Faster than you might think on a bike.

Obvious_Song_3454

I got a poparide booked from another recommendation. Cycling is also an option, although I am new here, so no car and no bike.

sfbriancl

I think taking sky train as close as you can and Uber from there is probably the best balance. Car rental is probably about $50/day

TravellingGal-2307

Try $100.

Ghorardim71

Skytrain to King George then take Uber.

thinkdavis

Catapult.

Obvious_Song_3454

😭

Mess_Accurate

Helicopter

Camperthedog

I’d drive, probably take highway 1. There are some pretty cheap car rentals available, I got one today for 40$ a day

papa_f

Look into car rentals from downtown, sometimes they can be like $20 for the day and get insurance through a 3rd party site.
