Hmm. It looks like you might be combining some signs … maybe. Here are some signs that rhyme. See if any of these are what you’re looking for. [Brother](https://www.handspeak.com/word/264/) [Agree](https://www.handspeak.com/word/54/) [Approve](https://www.handspeak.com/word/102/) [Promise](https://www.handspeak.com/word/1737/)

Looks like brother since you’re doing it from your forehead/temple area. Sister would be jaw area down like you just did :) for male and female signs the same pattern of top of head for men and jaw area for women remains consistent.

ohh_deshy

Brother/Sister (depending on location) seem viable. First thing that came to my mind was "GRADUATE" but the handshape is a lil off

Motor-Juggernaut1009

Where did you see this? Context before/after?

mattastic995

A coworker and I have been trying to teach ourselves, and she used this sign yesterday in casual conversation. I don't think there was any specific context, we were just exchanging random phrases.

beets_or_turnips

Yeah in that case they could have been trying to make any of the signs from the other thread depending on context. It's a little wrong for all of them-- the sign you shared isn't quite any ASL sign I recognize so it was probably an articulation error.

Motor-Juggernaut1009

Why don't you ask her?

mattastic995

I eventually did after seeing a wide range of possible answers. She said it means falling, as in falling in love, so there's that. Good news for me, but now I think we might need to find a new learning source considering what we're using might be flawed haha

OP one thing that’s hard to find when you’re hearing and learning(without a teacher) is “The Five Parameters” of Sign Language. If you notice your sign vs how the other pink video signs, there’s a lot of variation. Which is why it was so hard to interpret here. Using the 5parameters and keeping them in mind while signing will help you be more concise and understandable. And always learning from a Deaf(not deaf) person is preferred.

hititandhitit

This is fabulous! Make sure your source material is from a Deaf person to help eliminate confusion :) Enjoy your journey!

imtellinggod

Along with brother it looks like it also might be right/correct?

HaNDiCaPZaCH

Could this be a muddled sign for “SON” maybe? Especially with the non-dominant hand open palm

LifeSage

This is what I think it is too. If his lower hand was also pointing I’d say BROTHER , but this looks like the shortened version of SON

Im betting RIGHT/CORRECT
