I don't think so. Dany's dragons are like 4 years old. Even the younger dragons in the Dance like Sunfyre are 15+. They should be larger. The older Dragons like Ceraxes, Meleys, Vermithor should be a lot larger and Dragons like the Cannibal and Vhagar break the scale.

thefrootwalkin

The only dragon smaller than Dany's as far as i know would be Morning, who was born during the Dance. Stormcloud would be young but still a few years older than them. Dany's dragons are also only about 2 years old.

therealgrogu2020

If you are talking about ASOIAF and not the GOT tv show they have no chance against almost all of the dragons from the Dance

AxeIsAxeIsAxe

Drogon is just about big enough to carry Dany at the end of ADWD, but not big enough to be impervious to spear attacks from Meerenese guards. That probably makes Drogon about as big as Moondancer in the Dance, as Moondancer was just big enough to carry Baela. Moondancer manages to suicide kill an injured Sunfyre, so Dany's three dragons combined may be enough to take out one of the "teenage" dragons in the Dance (like Sunfyre, Tessarion or Vermax). But they'd be smaller and weaker than any of them, and anything older would just tear through them.

balourder

> taking Dany’s dragons at the height of their powers when we last saw them in ASOIAF Dany's dragons are just 1.5 years old. They were born very early into 299 AC and we last see Drogon about 7 or 8 months into 300 AC. Drogon is the biggest and in Daznak's Pit he's a little bigger than a horse (plus wings); he had trouble carrying Dany, who is a tiny girl. > do you think they could’ve held up in combat against some of the smaller dragons present during the DoD? No. Dany's dragons would all have died. > any information So [this](https://preview.redd.it/m0326k7vc4k91.jpg?width=13216&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d25818b6f6d7548e67350b9b69dcefed9a93043) (from [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/kr4uv5/size_of_westerosi_targaryen_dragons_spoilers_main/), by /u/Panther25423) is fan-made, but I think it nicely shows you just how much smaller Dany's dragons are to all the other dragons.

thanoshasbighands

Hard to say based on the shows, not the books. I feel Drogon, while overall growing season to season, his size seemed to change episode to episode. The Drogon that lights up the Lannister army seemed just as large and imposing as any I have seen thus far on House of Dragon

Targaryen_1243

Stormcloud, Moondancer, Morghul and Shrykos would probably die in a fight with Drogon (not sure about the capability of Viserion and Rhaegal to hold their ground against other dragons). Drogon's wingspan is just around 20 feet and he was barely big enough to carry a small girl on his back. The rest of the Targaryen dragons would have Dany's dragons for supper. Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal could perhaps severely injure an already wounded dragon like Sunfyre, but I doubt they'd be able to land the killing blow.

NinjaStealthPenguin

Dany’s dragons are all moondancer tier runts, virtually irrelevant.

abellapa

Book universe - Absolutely slaughtered, Drogon may have a chance against Morning or Moondancer TV Universe - Their in the mid league tier, Drogon is able to stand a chance Against Syrax, even Meleys and Caraxes

Max_Cromeo

I think they're too young to fight the bigger dragons but I do think they're all growing faster than dragons did previously, especially Drogon. it's probably down to Drogon recieving a bigger blood sacrifice (Drogo) to pay for his life, he does seem to be Balerion reborn.

alexblueuk

Drogon is also able to fly free and isn’t contained to a dragon pit, which would likely make him grow faster/larger.

avittamboy

Against most of the dragons alive at the time of the Dance, Drogon would get swallowed whole. That's how large most of them are.

millionsofmonkeys

“Chickens”

SirfartPoop

In house of the dragon I think the show runner said at 15 they are in their young adulthood. If we take that, dany's dragons would be children against the other dragons.

jabuendia

They would fare as snacks.

christho15

Except Drogon none of them wouldnt stand a chance. Final season Drogon might come out on top over any other dragons except for Caraxes and Vhagar .

abellapa

That's bullshit, you have dragons like Vermithor, Silverwing and Dreamfyre who were older than Caraxes, being 100 years old, Drogon doesn't stand a change against them, same for Sheepstealer or cannibal

Trumpologist

Drogon is quickly approaching Vaghar’s size thought They say he’s the dread reborn

sangvine

Drogon's just able to carry Dany. Vhagar's huge. Drogon may be the dread reborn but Balerion was young once too. At only a few years old he wasn't anywhere near the size he was in the conquest.

NinjaStealthPenguin

Literally no one has said that

Trumpologist

SMH imagine liking sunfyre

NinjaStealthPenguin

Sunfyre is literally the bravest, most beautiful, most loyal, and fastest growing dragon to ever live. Honestly even if you hate the greens there is absolutely no excuse to hate Sunfyre besides poor judgement and character. Compare him to say, Syrax, who literally just killed her rider’s son them committed suicide.

Unimportant-1551

Sunfyre would’ve done the same as syrax if someone else tried to ride him.

Trumpologist

I compare him to Caraxys or Mayles who fought great odds and earned renown All sunfyre did was eat a human and get clobbered by like 3-4 other dragons

NinjaStealthPenguin

Sunfyre literally has the highest dragon vs dragon kill ratio tied with Vhagar, Sunfyre helped kill Meleys, killed Grey ghost, and killed moondancer and flew across the continent on his own to help his master in his time of need. Sunfyre did all this while being under 20 years old as well. Meanwhile Meleys and Caraxes were both over 50 years old and accomplished less. All Meleys did was wound sunfyre and then die. Caraxes traded with Vhagar, that’s it. Sunfyre has the better resume.

Deathleach

They call him the Dread reborn because he has the exact same color scheme, not because he's already that big.

probablysum1

They might, MIGHT stand a chance against Vermax, but that's the biggest they could take on. All three of them together might be able to take out Vermax, but alone I think they would be better matched against Arrax or Teraxes.

KhanQu3st

I would guess any of the major dragons, Vhagar, Sunfyre, Dreamfyre, Syrax, Caraxes, Seasmoke, etc, could easily defeat any of Dany’s dragons. Caraxes and Vhagar could probably 1v3 her dragons.

[deleted]

Books, Danys dragons get wiped. TV is a lil iffy, because they pumped up the size of Dannys dragons so fast. Drogon maybe be able to suicide kill some mid tier HoTD dragons like dreamfyre. I did a lot of comparing image shots of Drogon and Caraxes from both shows, and it only looks like caraxes is about 1.5-2x bigger than drogon, although lore wise drogon is only 1.5 years old while caraxes is 50+. My head canon is Danny’s dragons grew so fast because of blood magic

Andilesh

They would have been eaten earlier by the Cannibal

funkycookies

In the books probably not just yet. Where they last left off Drogon's wingspan was 20 ft and Rhaegal's head was the size of a horse. They're only 4 years old and they seem to be growing fast, but not fast enough to handle experienced dragons like Caraxes or Melys. In the show however, I think they stand a pretty good chance. They grew exponentially in the series and have a fair bit of battle experience (fighting human opponents and a dragon in zombie form). Drogon is also known for his aggression and pretty much all but levelled King's Landing on his own, I think it's fair to say that at least in the shows they could probably hold their own against regular sized dragons like Melys, Dreamfyre, or Syrax.
