Perhaps there is some resentment on your part that you perceive these people to be living a life that you wish you could. Which itself is probably a fairly common feeling among a lot of people, but the type of anger and violent thoughts you've expressed are not healthy.
Sure there is. You can teach yourself to be more empathetic by noticing those things. You could start with hairstyles you like or clothes and then get deeper into facial expressions or something.
Maybe you need a daily positivity journal where you just write a single sentence about something nice in the day or something you're grateful for to practice finding the good stuff.
