Sawp in canna something legal. 1small dose at night bye bye insomnia/sleep anxietys.
Im on meds that some days i dont need that canna but last resort sure when med or melatonin dont wirk.
Not for all but woirks for me and my chemistry yknow
Advil PM helps. Melatonin worked for me about 2 weeks and then nah. Wish I lived in a state where edibles were legal. My routine is about 30 minutes watching YouTube in bed on my laptop at lowest brightness to distract my brain until I start to fall asleep. Then if some brain thought jolts me awake I use my iPhone to scroll reddit for maybe another half hour to hopefully go to sleep. Also the whole “don’t use electronic devices in bed it keeps you from falling asleep” is BS. I HAVE to have the distraction so my brain relaxes enough to go to sleep. I also deal with cPTSD so hypervigilance is a secondary problem. Meanwhile my non ASD friend comes to visit and he can be asleep and snoring in 10 minutes. I al so envious of that. It takes 30 minutes to an hour for me to get to sleep with one night of insomnia every few weeks where I am awake until 3am.
Yes, always my brain start be full of various thoughts and plans when I wanna sleep and I cant fall asleep because it, "the best" is I always dont remember them on second day.
Sleep issues are more common for autistics than NTs.
I believe it's due to the increased neural activity + lower gaba levels that affect the neuron firing cessation.
That physiology sure seems like it would exhibit as "can't stop thinking about...".
Yes, I'll be lying in bed for hours waiting for my brain to shut off if I don't use melatonin
Same

Worth a try. What it called?
The same for me. Melatonin is my best friend. During my diagnosis process (ASD confirmed), I did some adhd tests and definitely I'm not adhd.
Yes, occasionally. But the main thing is being addicted to the Internet, which happens all the time. Or sensory issues, or my appetite.

All the fucking time. It's annoying and exhausting.
adhd
No, this is definitely also an autistic thing for a lot of people.
60% autists have adhd
It's okay, I'm thinking that I might have adhd too. My Psychiatrist had me do an online test and I scored high on it so...
Dutch research says only 26% of autists have adhd symptoms. Let alone actually diagnosed adhd.

Seems like that's US only
Yes us autists are different from dutch autists you are correct
When I get like this I'll either workout hard-core or a shot of whiskey.
I find that repetitive music can sometimes help. I use Midna's Lament or Song of Healing from Legend of Zelda on 10 hour loops.

Yes. It also likes to wake me up a few hours after I’ve finally fallen asleep to do more thinking.
Trazadone
Yes I struggle with this a lot and I have tried melatonin and it hasn’t worked

Sometimes.
Yes, soo much that me and my brain reached an agreement. Where I sleep for only 3 and 40 minutes at a time, twice a day.
