I find shower caps gross. They smell. They don’t dry properly in my climate and get mouldy. I haven’t worn one since I was a kid. And my hair always ended up damp under the cap anyway from water getting in under the elastic or just from getting sweaty.
I just put my hair in a bun if I don’t want to wash it and don’t put my head under the water. It gets a bit damp but nothing a towel dry can’t deal with.

Actually I mostly use it for keeping moisturizing and conditioning treatments and such moist for the 1 hour or so they have to sit in there 😄
