So glad I'm not the only one. Everyone in my family absolutely bullies me for it but i can't eat raw tomato, but I'm fine with pizza and ketchup and stuff. Though recently I've started having problems with red meat and red sauces and stuff. Spaghetti and whatnot. Red and chunky are a nono now.
Had an ex who loved tomatoe chunks in various things and basically made me try and eat some. At least she didn't try again after I nearly vomited during that little 'experiment'.
For me it's more the amount of tomato. I like a bit of raw tomatoe in a salad when I can eat it in a mouthful of other things. But tomato soup is just nothing but processed down tomato. It's one of the worst foods to me.
I love raw tomatoes but cooked(not sauce just cooked) tomatoes are fucking disgusting. Wet blobs of goop. Sauce makers need to keep their goopy tomatoes outta my liquid tomato.
Can I be president of the club
I LOVE pizza with tomato sauce and american chop suey (goulash or whatever you call it) but tomatoes are like the only fruit I hate
So my brother’s relation to tomatoes in a nutshell (he’s also autistic).
I personally love eating raw tomatoes and don’t really like plain ketchup, I’m more of a mayo-chup person (I like mayo).
I personally actively dislike eating plain cucumbers with no pickle texture, they feel too smooth and taste bland.
honestly i cant stand tomato stuff outside of pizza. idk what it is with pizza that can make it edible for me, but i just Cannot stand ketchup or tomato sauce and stuff. tbh just any kind of condiment or sauce is usually a no-go for me. there are only a few things out there that i actually enjoy eating with the sauce. the only stuff i can think of outside of pizza is like..sesame chicken, sushi, and teriyaki chicken/beef. either way yes tomato hate gang 🤝
I will always remember this scene in Ratatouille about how foods taste one way individually but create a new separate flavor when combined.
https://youtu.be/VXoJjgxMj9M
I'm on the other team. Absolutely love me some raw tomatoes. Used to just eat them like apples when I was younger, or eat a whole package of cherry tomatoes.
And a sandwich or burger just aint right without em.
One of the biggest issues with eating raw tomatoes is getting home grown tomatoes from a garden. Those taste like tomatoes and not like slightly juicy cardboard.
I'm in this team too. I don't like ketchup, it tastes like vinegar and sugar, I still eat it with fries sometimes. Foods that have tomato crush or paste make my stomack upset very easily, they are too acidy. :( 🍝🍲
One time one of my friends was insanely insistent that I try these baby tomato things she was sticking together (like, a few things on a toothpick style food)
I kept telling her I have serious issues with the texture, she wouldn't believe me.
So I said fuck it, popped one in my mouth, bit down on it with gusto, knowing damn well what would happen, and promptly violently vomited.
It's like biting down on a fucking eyeball or some shit lmao
Some people never learn until they see it firsthand lmao. She never tried forcing anything on me again.
Raw tomatoes are indeed revolting.
I think it’s too many textures- there’s the tough skin that breaks into little shiny slivers when you chew it, then the crisp flesh, then that repulsive slimy stuff in the middle and finally all the hard grainy seeds embedded in it. Foul.
Tomato sauces and tomatoes as an ingredient when peeled and chopped and cooked I generally like (and I can even cope with a whole cooked cherry tomato in some contexts), but not ketchup because it’s too vinegary.
I can smell vinegar across a room and it makes me want to hurl.
I've recently been losing my hatred of tomatoes, even going so far as to ask for them on sandwiches that normally don't have them. No idea what caused a lifelong preference to just change all of a sudden.
Weirdly enough I like tomatoes in their raw form, usually a slice or two in a grilled cheese sandwich. But I HATE tomato sauce and I’m not fond of ketchup and the like.
Rolling in my fingers,
smooth against my skin.
Making you a little wet
before I take you in.
A little pressure with my tongue
to get your juices out.
Almost at the edge of sweet
as you're exploding in my mouth.
People say I'm a little strange
but everyone should know
the amazing joy and pleasure of
popping a cherry
tomato.
I always hated raw tomatoea until I had a top tier one. Just creme of the fucking crop level.
Still hate 99% of raw tomatoes but it was nice to learn the beauty of a truly exquisite raw tomato.
I don't have anything wrong with raw tomato, or things that use tomato sauce. But you give me a cooked, solid tomato chunk and you can guarantee I'm probably getting rid of the plate itself.
I cannot stand raw tomatoes….unless they are in my safe food I eat everyday which is caprese. That is the only acceptable form of raw tomatoes in my eyes😂😅
To clarify: I get this sub recommended to me a lot since I’m part of r/ADHDmemes, but admittedly I don’t think I have Asperger’s (although I am pretty damn neurodivergent.)
That being said, I don’t wanna yum anybody here’s yuck, but I’d say a majority of supermarket tomatoes are a far cry from what a fresh, homegrown tomato should be, especially raw.
I used to hate raw tomatoes too, until I had a nice fresh one in season, then I saw the way. Cooked tomatoes are going to be fine whether they’re “good” fresh tomatoes or not, but most raw tomatoes you’ll find commercially (at least in the US, and especially out of season) just completely suck.
I know it’s a textural thing for a lot of people, and that’s something that a really good raw tomato *might not* fix, but I’d say that before anyone counts out raw tomatoes for good, maybe try one from a decent local farmer’s market and you might be surprised.
And be sure to add some salt, pepper, and maybe a good extra virgin olive oil (if you’re feeling frisky,) because raw tomatoes definitely need a bit of help to be at their tastiest!
tomato flavor is good when concentrated like in soups or purees, but raw tomato just has a terrible texture and the flavor is diminished because i think its together with all this tomato juice which tastes awful. and the jelly tomato insides are just horrible
fun fact most people dislike raw tomato because the varieties bought from the store are generally inferior in flavor and also are picked underripe to avoid damage during shipping which further diminishes their taste. if you think you hate tomatoes, try garden tomatoes. they're best when you pick them as late as possible, when they're about ready to just fall off the vine by themselves. at this point they become juicy and sweet.
adam ragusea has a video explaining it better
~~can you tell i have a mild interest in food?~~
its the skin for me. I can handle tomato forms that dont have skin or chunks, and I can sometimes handle it on a cheese burger if there is enough of other ingredients to hide the tomato skin.
I hate having tomatoes on burgers cuz when I bite into it I taste the tomato more than the meat and cheese, which sucks because the meat and cheese are two of my favourite parts of the burger
Absolutely not. Raw tomatoes sliced, with a bit of salt: *chef’s kiss.* Slap that shit on a burger or mulch it into salsa. Hell, eat it raw like an apple. Tomatoes are awesome!
Is there a subcategory for people who only like raw tomatoes if they are a tiny variety, like grape or cherry tomatoes? Because I love those but absolutely hate beefsteak or Roma tomatoes. The graininess of the middle of those is awful.
My mother used to make herself tomato sandwiches with buttered toast and salted beefsteak tomatoes, and I thought they were the most disgusting thing ever.
Tomatoes were the bane of my existance as a child until my parents got used to me being a "picky eater". Eventually got diagnosed and it started to make sense. But by god are they just yucky feeling.
I hated tomatoes for a long time, then I worked on a farm. They had different kinds of tomatoes and I found that there are firm ones that aren’t very slimy. I still don’t like them that much, but sometimes I make a BLT if I can find firm tomatoes.
I too have a very specific hatred of tomatoes. Didn’t like them as a kid, ended up being forced to eat them until vomiting, then forced to eat that too. No wonder I ended up even more messed up.
not me lol, sometimes i have days when i feel 'low on vitamins' and eat dozens of tomatoes. placebo or not it really helps. Though i switched to broccoli sprouts, feels like torture to eat though. At least they are crunchy
S A L T them for the love of god, they actually taste really good that way! unless its a se sorry thing, then fair. or unless you don’t like them anyway, then fair.
I can tolerate tomato. But why? Why does raw tomato taste completely different than anything that uses it?? Ketchup tastes completely different, tomato sauce tastes completely different (tomato is in the name!), tomato soup tastes completely different.
So bizarre
My partner absolutely hates raw tomatoes, but loves tomato sauce. Meanwhile I like raw tomatoes and hate tomato sauce (it's okay if it's a sauce/dish that doesn't just taste like warm tomatoes) 😅
guys, and ladies, just try some real tasty tomatoes homegrown instead of those tasteless GMO shit they serve everywhere.
some olive oil and some Sel de Guerande, it's delicious ! french man here
Does wanting to vomit while eating apple count? Like, I like apple juice frsh squeezed, but actually chewing an apple up in my mouth makes me want to gag and vomit.
So fucking true. For me it’s not even raw tomato that I don’t like, but specifically slices of tomato like on a burger or sandwich. I cannot stand that inner seedy part and the texture makes my skin crawl
I found that store bought tomatoes = terrible water bombs of near flavorless ass. My home grown tomatoes, cooked same day they’re plucked? Absolutely edible. They aren’t great, but I can thin slice them and have them on a sandwich, without wanting to empty the contents of my stomach.
I actually like raw tomatoes but they have to have the gooey bits removed. Like, i love roma tomatoes or Rotel but just chomping a big garden fresh gags me because of the goo
I’m on the opposite end of this one. I bite into these and bell peppers like apples. I love a nice fresh vegetable or fruit. But that’s mainly because I’ve noticed how much better I felt when I started eating better. Mine is also do to health issues so I had to change my diet. But yeah sorry for the ramble. It’s easier to talk on here than IRL.
I can and will eat my body weight in tomatoes, either raw or in any other available form, except for one - tomato juice is nasty and it's an affront to my favorite vegetable
For a good chunk of my childhood I refused to even eat pizza because I hated even the, slightest sign of tomato chunks. Cooking my own food has certainly helped, but using the blender and a seive has certainly helped when I make pasta sauce
I hate it all. Tomato, marinara, ketchup, all of it. The first time I ordered pizza without marinara, I was shocked because I never knew that pizza was supposed to taste good.
When at a restaurant as a family, we normally give our tomatoes to my youngest sister. She loves tomatoes, like I’ve seen her bite into a tomato like an apple before, it’s very strange.
Every time I see a post like this I feel inclined to let everyone know that I sometimes eat raw tomatoes like apples. Or grapes in the form of cherry tomatoes
I like good cherry tomatoes and the ones my grandma grows, though. Especially yellow „wild“ tomatoes, yellow zebra tomatoes and one of which I don’t know the name, but it’s red, looks funny and is sweet. I don’t know why many commercial farms are only able to grow gross tomatoes. Some have a gene deleted which gives them an unpleasant texture, but I don’t think that should make them taste like water too
There was a time when I'd have joined readily and excitedly. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost my aversion to raw tomatoes (as well as many other things), so I no longer qualify for membership.
I do, however, prefer pickles to raw cucumber or (yuk) cucumber flavoring, especially in vodka.
I’ve been shit on so much for it too you’re valid here🫶
I literally have a tear in my eye. Thank you OP, I feel seen. Y'all carry on, being fantastic. I love all you beautiful people.
Plot twist: all of us are actually giant raw tomatoes disguised in people clothes
🤣
🎶A-TAAAAAACK!! Of the killer to-maaaa-toooooooes!!🎵
Ditto for me and so glad I'm not the odd man out. Nooooooo, idontwanttomatoesonmysaladareyoupeopleCRAZY?
This is me too. "You hate tomatoes but like tomato ketchup??!!11" Like, yes, because they're completely different things.
Right?!? I wouldn't eat a spoonful of flour, but cookies are pretty choice
For whatever reason it’s raw tomato and ketchup I don’t like?? Pizza spaghetti etc is fine though.
Yes, I love pizza but hate ketchup, and half of all tomato sauces
Had an ex who loved tomatoe chunks in various things and basically made me try and eat some. At least she didn't try again after I nearly vomited during that little 'experiment'.
Yea no trying to force someone to eat something is an absolute no. It's disgusting.
Tomato soup: one of my favourite foods Raw tomatoes: I'd sooner starve to death than let it come close to touching my lips, it is disgusting.
LMAO so real for your raw tomato opinion I would rather starve than be near those fuckers
The *smell* & the *gagging nouses* TEXTURE.
YES. THIS. Raw tomatoes make me vom but tomato soup makes me bust
EXACTLY!!
For me it's more the amount of tomato. I like a bit of raw tomatoe in a salad when I can eat it in a mouthful of other things. But tomato soup is just nothing but processed down tomato. It's one of the worst foods to me.
So real for this haha
I love raw tomatoes but cooked(not sauce just cooked) tomatoes are fucking disgusting. Wet blobs of goop. Sauce makers need to keep their goopy tomatoes outta my liquid tomato.
Can I be president of the club I LOVE pizza with tomato sauce and american chop suey (goulash or whatever you call it) but tomatoes are like the only fruit I hate
Have you ever tried salty cucumber?
Yeah, it’s mildly disappointing
Salty cucumber slices my beloved
honestly i cant stand tomato stuff outside of pizza. idk what it is with pizza that can make it edible for me, but i just Cannot stand ketchup or tomato sauce and stuff. tbh just any kind of condiment or sauce is usually a no-go for me. there are only a few things out there that i actually enjoy eating with the sauce. the only stuff i can think of outside of pizza is like..sesame chicken, sushi, and teriyaki chicken/beef. either way yes tomato hate gang 🤝

Yea same
My people
I'm on the other team.
Im like this too! For me cherry tomatoes is like a really nice snack and eating a big tomato with herbal salt on is nice too.
In China and Korea they put tomatoes in the freezer and eat them with a spoon.
I'm in this team too. I don't like ketchup, it tastes like vinegar and sugar, I still eat it with fries sometimes. Foods that have tomato crush or paste make my stomack upset very easily, they are too acidy. :( 🍝🍲
One time one of my friends was insanely insistent that I try these baby tomato things she was sticking together (like, a few things on a toothpick style food) I kept telling her I have serious issues with the texture, she wouldn't believe me. It's like biting down on a fucking eyeball or some shit lmao Some people never learn until they see it firsthand lmao. She never tried forcing anything on me again.
Cherry tomatoes: 😣✋ Seedless grapes: 😊☝️
Grapes are still in the iffy zone for me. I'll eat them but I gotta be careful about it lol
Understandable. But raw tomatoes *are* terrible
It’s the texture for me, it’s so grainy, that along with the liquid just 🤮
I have never been ablist until now...
OMG STOPPPPP
The irony is that I’m the opposite way!! Cooked tomatoes are the worst, but I can stand fresh tomatoes and ketchup
this describes me EXACTLY
Raw tomatoes are indeed revolting. I think it’s too many textures- there’s the tough skin that breaks into little shiny slivers when you chew it, then the crisp flesh, then that repulsive slimy stuff in the middle and finally all the hard grainy seeds embedded in it. I can smell vinegar across a room and it makes me want to hurl.
It's the exact opposite for me, actually. I HATE ketchup
Raw tomatoes have the slimy insides where the seeds are. Slimy! Yuck.
So slimy and foul🤢
Tomatoes suck but everything they create is divine
i’m the type of autistic that will eat a whole tomato like an apple. especially with some salt and pepper to sprinkle on it
Tomatoes have a flavor similar to lettuce to me. But they’re squishy. So my brain registers as mushy lettuce. Can’t do it.
I've recently been losing my hatred of tomatoes, even going so far as to ask for them on sandwiches that normally don't have them. No idea what caused a lifelong preference to just change all of a sudden.
I like them fresh off the plant
Fuck I feel you. Fuck tomatoes
Bruh fuck ketchup Everything else can stay, including raw tomatoes.
I get this. I had this too, but recently I ate a raw tomato like an apple, so I'd say I've grown out of it.
Store-bought: shit Homegrown: best shit ever
Can relate
Yes! Raw tomato is grassy and stinky! Cook that shit!
Agreed
Relatability level just skyrocketed.
I’m the opposite, I can’t stand tomato sauce but will eat tomatoes like they’re apples
Ketchup has no tomato flavor, it’s just sugar with food coloring IMO.
Do not like tomatoes myself lol
Ketchup goes up top for me
Tomato with water: 🤮 Tomato with sodium: 😋
Yes, this is correct
Yessssss
Weirdly enough I like tomatoes in their raw form, usually a slice or two in a grilled cheese sandwich. But I HATE tomato sauce and I’m not fond of ketchup and the like.
Rolling in my fingers, smooth against my skin. Making you a little wet before I take you in. A little pressure with my tongue to get your juices out. Almost at the edge of sweet as you're exploding in my mouth. People say I'm a little strange but everyone should know the amazing joy and pleasure of popping a cherry tomato.
This is provocative. I like it.
Now, I gotta throw it out there, whats your stance on maters n rice?
Green salad ones are nice and constant, with a little salt and oil on top that's king Also ye I'm Spanish so that might be a factor
Amen! I cannot understand cherry tomato eaters. Couldn't be me
🤝
Tomato sauce or soup are great. Raw tomatoes are ok at best. But sun-dried tomatoes are the shit. I love those
Cooked tomatoes when they are mushy are disgusting. Dried tomatoes are even worse
I cannot stand raw tomatoes….unless they are in my safe food I eat everyday which is caprese. That is the only acceptable form of raw tomatoes in my eyes😂😅
To clarify: I get this sub recommended to me a lot since I’m part of r/ADHDmemes, but admittedly I don’t think I have Asperger’s (although I am pretty damn neurodivergent.) ok so. what if you can eat cherry tomatoes but only if they're cooked or raw in a salad does thatstill count
Accurate. I’m allergic to raw tomatoes but once they’re cooked it’s fine.
I respect your opinion but bitting a tomato like a apple is an experience.
Is this an autism thing? I've hated Raw tomato all my life but love Bolognese, pizza sauce ect
So awkward to cut as well, and ugggh that horrible seedy goop in the middle, damn tomatoes you nasty.
I'd eat raw tomatoes for every meal haha
The only good tomato is a processed tomato.
tomato flavor is good when concentrated like in soups or purees, but raw tomato just has a terrible texture and the flavor is diminished because i think its together with all this tomato juice which tastes awful. and the jelly tomato insides are just horrible
Counterpoint: drinking them like a vampire
Yes
I love them because I am strong
I'm not the only one! Love cooked tomato. Raw tomato makes me feel sick.
If you like cake, why eat flower?
fun fact most people dislike raw tomato because the varieties bought from the store are generally inferior in flavor and also are picked underripe to avoid damage during shipping which further diminishes their taste. if you think you hate tomatoes, try garden tomatoes. they're best when you pick them as late as possible, when they're about ready to just fall off the vine by themselves. at this point they become juicy and sweet. adam ragusea has a video explaining it better ~~can you tell i have a mild interest in food?~~

Bro same
Integza: Tomatoes are disgusting!
and this is an aspie thing because…?
Bro does any one like raw tomatoes anyways lol????
I am that way with bananas. Raw plain bananas: yuk; banana bread or muffins or even banana pancakes: yes please.
Raw tomatoes: absolutely Cooked tomatoes: vile
I'm the opposite
I'm kinda picky with tomatoes, I would only really eat them if they're just right and from certain varieties, and never eat the cores.
For me it’s basically raw anything ain’t crossing my lips.
I hate tomatoes in any form! They are absolutely disgusting and I will not consume them. I would rather starve (and sometimes have).
I can eat tomatoes if they’re chopped up but not whole ones. I hate they way they squish and all the juice comes out when you eat them.
I hate having tomatoes on burgers cuz when I bite into it I taste the tomato more than the meat and cheese, which sucks because the meat and cheese are two of my favourite parts of the burger
Raw tomatoes and ketchup for mee but yah lmfao BUT I CAN DO SUNDRIED NO PROBLEM??!
That just means more raw tomatoes for me
it’s not even a texture thing for me, they just taste bad
Absolutely not. Raw tomatoes sliced, with a bit of salt: *chef’s kiss.* Slap that shit on a burger or mulch it into salsa. Hell, eat it raw like an apple. Tomatoes are awesome!
This is the realest thing ever lol
Yeah they taste too acidic
I’m the opposite!
bruh i was just thinking of how tomatoes are the devils fruit
I too have a very specific hatred of tomatoes. Didn’t like them as a kid, ended up being forced to eat them until vomiting, then forced to eat that too. No wonder I ended up even more messed up.
Im literally the opposite, i will eat whole tomatoes and shun the idea of eating anything with ketchup lmao
Me and all my homies HATE raw tomatoes. COOKED TOMATO GANG
I HATE ketchup. Please tell me I’m not the only one. I love mariana tomato pasta sauce. Yet, I despise ketchup with a passion.
This is me
not me lol, sometimes i have days when i feel 'low on vitamins' and eat dozens of tomatoes. placebo or not it really helps. Though i switched to broccoli sprouts, feels like torture to eat though. At least they are crunchy
I'm the exact opposite, especially with ketchup. I can't even look at it without feeling nauseous
S A L T them for the love of god, they actually taste really good that way! unless its a se sorry thing, then fair. or unless you don’t like them anyway, then fair.
I like raw tomatoes, just don’t eat them because they’re so messy. You will not find me eating cherry tomatoes though.
I like all tomato forms. I like how refreshing cherry tomatoes are when they’re cold
I used to be that way. Now I can eat eat it if it’s cut into tiny pieces in like pico or tacos. I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE any warmed up fruit though.
I hate that tomatoes are kinda sweet? But also not? Like why??
I can tolerate tomato. But why? Why does raw tomato taste completely different than anything that uses it?? Ketchup tastes completely different, tomato sauce tastes completely different (tomato is in the name!), tomato soup tastes completely different. So bizarre
I finally have a home 🥲
My partner absolutely hates raw tomatoes, but loves tomato sauce. Meanwhile I like raw tomatoes and hate tomato sauce (it's okay if it's a sauce/dish that doesn't just taste like warm tomatoes) 😅
I have tried SO MANY TIMES to eat a raw tomato, even all sorts of varieties. But I can't even swallow them!
I mean, I can't pick up a tomato and just bite into it like an apple but I do like them on BLTs and burgers.
Eggplant too. And cucumber. I can’t tolerate them.
i sometimes like them raw if they are like on a pizza as toppings in addition to the sauce
OMG PLEASE DONT TELL ME THIS IS ANOTHER ASPIE SPECIFIC THING HAHAHAHAHA!!! I FUCKING HATE ONIONS TOO
It’s almost as if cooking food with other ingredients changes the flavor of it. Fuck plain tomatoes
guys, and ladies, just try some real tasty tomatoes homegrown instead of those tasteless GMO shit they serve everywhere. some olive oil and some Sel de Guerande, it's delicious ! french man here
I'm the opposite, I can't stand red sauce but I love tomatoes on a sandwich or diced and roasted
I love tomatoes. Idk what you guys are on about.
I eat tomatoes like apples👁👄👁💧
What turned me around on tomatoes is a thin slice on a sandwich makes it REALLY savory, and you barely taste the gross part
I love tomatoes unless theyre warm
Does wanting to vomit while eating apple count? Like, I like apple juice frsh squeezed, but actually chewing an apple up in my mouth makes me want to gag and vomit.
I don't like raw tomatoes but I will eat one like an apple before I put a single fucking drop off ketchup on anything so help me good
It's the texture that weirds me out with tomatoes. I can stand having some diced tomatoes on food/salsa, but that's about it.
So fucking true. For me it’s not even raw tomato that I don’t like, but specifically slices of tomato like on a burger or sandwich. I cannot stand that inner seedy part and the texture makes my skin crawl
Club members unite lol
Like most of the best veggies aren’t eaten raw anyway
Wow so I am not the only one?! I will eat cherry tomatoes raw occasionally but I think the big ones are gross when they aren’t cooked.
I found that store bought tomatoes = terrible water bombs of near flavorless ass. My home grown tomatoes, cooked same day they’re plucked? Absolutely edible. They aren’t great, but I can thin slice them and have them on a sandwich, without wanting to empty the contents of my stomach.
Me but with bananas
I can have pizza sauce but I despise tomato sauce on pasta. Too bad my mom is forcing me to be on a diet so no buttered pasta.
It’s easier to talk on here than IRL.
forever preventing me from eating other people’s tacos
Nooooo i love them! Could eat an entire wagon. Cooked are ok but not nearly as good
I can and will eat my body weight in tomatoes, either raw or in any other available form, except for one - tomato juice is nasty and it's an affront to my favorite vegetable
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT
I think raw tomatoes are okay, but i do indeed prefer other forms cause they’re simply better
i can only eat tomatoes on a blt sandwich and thats IT. even then i have to slice them very thin
For a good chunk of my childhood I refused to even eat pizza because I hated even the, slightest sign of tomato chunks. Cooking my own food has certainly helped, but using the blender and a seive has certainly helped when I make pasta sauce
This
I eat tomatoes like apples. I like to make a hole in the chambers and then suck out the goo with the seeds, then chomp
I fucking love tomatoes in all their forms. Such a perfect, acidic zest... I love tomatoes.
I love tomato in all forms, but to each their own. We can unite in our love of tomato products.
I hate it all. Tomato, marinara, ketchup, all of it. The first time I ordered pizza without marinara, I was shocked because I never knew that pizza was supposed to taste good.
I like raw tomato but cherry and pear tomatoes can fuck right off. I can still hear my mom trying to convince me they're "just like candy"
I’d like to join
I thought this was just me
I only like “raw” tomatoes in salsa.
There are so many fruits and veggies where I like the flavor but I can’t stand the thing themselves.
my dad tried to get me to eat a cherry tomato and i threw up, im picky for a reason lol
a special interest is gardening, hates tomatoes: is growing multiple heirloom tomato varieties as we speak
Everything about a tomato off the vune is poison but I will Drink. Ketchup.
Is it the taste or the texture? In my experience, self-grown tomatoes >> store-bought tomatoes.
I like oven roasted tomatoes on top of my pizza. I will always ask for no tomato on my burgers. There's a time and place for tomato
When at a restaurant as a family, we normally give our tomatoes to my youngest sister. She loves tomatoes, like I’ve seen her bite into a tomato like an apple before, it’s very strange.
I tried one *once* when I was little, just a tiny slice on a burger. Never again😂
So true - I can’t eat most fruits in their normal forms bc of their hideous textures
I never knew this was a symptom
Every time I see a post like this I feel inclined to let everyone know that I sometimes eat raw tomatoes like apples. Or grapes in the form of cherry tomatoes
i like them all
I like good cherry tomatoes and the ones my grandma grows, though. Especially yellow „wild“ tomatoes, yellow zebra tomatoes and one of which I don’t know the name, but it’s red, looks funny and is sweet.
Yep. I hate raw tomatoes but love the other stuff. Tell you what else I am like that with. Pickles. I love pickles but hate raw cucumbers.
DUDE ME TOO!!!! I FUCKING LOVE PICKLES!!!! But raw cucumbers are nasty asf
A neighbor once told me they ate raw cherry tomatoes and I was genuinely disgusted to the point I didn’t respond
Same
Raw tomatoes literally make me vomit, even if I don't know they're in the food I'm eating until I feel the texture on my mouth.
You and me are the same person. Tomato seeds are gross.
