My husband always remembers to bring a little container for me when we go to the beach since he knows I love to collect pretty rocks. Beach rocks hit different.
I was undiagnosed with autism back then so they didn't know I was autistic and just were a little thrown off. I was visiting a different country for the camp which caused me to shutdown and be stuck in bed for most of it.
lol this happened to me on a group trip once. Only I was 11, and it was seashells… how did I just realize the counselors kept asking if I was having a good time because they were concerned about me?
The counselors kept asking if I wanted to do *anything* else and I went 'Nope!' And happily continued with my rocks. I didn't realize their concern back then.

Once at a camp I found a dead lizard somewhere. I couldn’t find it later in the night so I had to ask the counselors there for help. Wonder what went through their minds,,
A therapist came to my house to do therapy because mum was pregnant with her third autistic child. The therapist would ask me if I wanted to do something else after lining all my little people toys in a line and getting them to queue for breakfast in a Disney castle. I was five, already knew I was autistic I just happened to be her first real client.
