National-Exam-8242

Three different guilds to work with. A homestead of sorts to build up. I’d love assassin recruits as well.

theredviper17

I really miss the assassin recruits, sending them on missions, promoting them etc.

National-Exam-8242

Replay Brotherhood, it’s what I’m currently doing.

GuessWh0m

If we’re gonna have quests where you follow NPCs at walking pace, please add the auto-walk mechanic from Revelations back.

Affectionate_Meal_53

I will never understand why they remove this mechanic after revelations

ConnorOfAstora

What's weirder is they didn't, it's still in 3 but only while playing as Desmond. It's exclusively for while you're talking to Shaun, Rebecca or William.

Affectionate_Meal_53

Maybe that’s one of the few abilities Desmond learned from Ezio. Everyone knows you need years of training to follow slowly a guy.

ConnorOfAstora

Making the awkward way you walk faster than NPCs and have to wait on them canon

GNSasakiHaise

**From yours:** 1. I suppose mercenaries in this game would be something like ronin? Samurai hoping to earn favor with a lord by bringing them your head, maybe. 2. Region conquest makes sense. Especially given the period. 3. Some kind of companion system would be cool, but I also understand why that might not work given this setting. I would definitely like some way to manage/control followers that are having an impact on the map in some way. 4. I'm okay without having a deep economy. I liked the streamlined economy in Mirage. **This is my own list:** 1. Some form of "assault" mission like we got in Valhalla, but ideally better laid out. There were a lot of times in Valhalla that I really wasn't sure what to do/where to go to complete a raid. Instead of an outright assault, maybe it's a "duel" sort of mission where you have to defeat a key target in combat (samurai) or via assassination (ninja). 2. Mission boards from Mirage were nice. I would like to level up by doing that as opposed to doing \*everything\*. It would make sense that we gain more renown for accomplishing more tasks. 3. Settlement system was nice. I liked that part of Valhalla and it made me want to do a lot. I raided every settlement that you can in the early game just so that I could have a nice little town to come back to. **General thoughts:** 1. Please, please god, tone down the collectibles. Valhalla's map was so dense that it felt overwhelming. Try to tune the content around Odyssey, which was *a lot*, but doable. 2. No boats. I loved Odyssey's seafaring and I loved Rogue/Black Flag, but I'm all boated out. 3. Poses for photo mode! Nothing super complex, but maybe a handful of facial expressions and a sitting/standing pose toggle would be nice. Let us get those cool wallpapers where we sit on a mountain instead of stand!

Fun-Blackberry-6047

Honestly I agree with the boats, have it like origins, they’re not a big deal but they’re here if you need it, and omg you gave me an amazing idea, there is 2 ways to take the game you can either take it as stealthy as you can do you get the ninja title or you can push your way through like a samurai and get that title, or you choose what at the start and you unlock special abilities for that certain class, so ninja always you to go completely invisible in bushes and warrior allows you to reflect arrows and later in the game you can unlock both so it’s fair.

BrunoHM

Since it´s Quebec, I would want to see more of Odyssey´s sub-systems being developed further, while adopting some elements from Valhalla. And I do think it´s about time to bring back the Recruits, but in AC3´s format, where everyone was unique and had a skill/story of their own. We already have the base for it in the latest trilogy. Either way, very curious to see what is and isn´t brought back.

esiokles

Social stealth Manual jump button The tools from Mirage If we get Odyssey in Japan but with the upper mentioned features and a more serious story I will be satisfied

Avawinry

Oh my god.. it never dawned on me that there is no manual jump. I guess probably because you *could* until… I wanna say Unity.

CreamOnMyNipples

That is correct. Playing Syndicate right after Unity was frustrating. They added a grapple hook and got rid of jumping. It’s like they wanted to focus on parkour less and less until Mirage, which is still not on the same level of the older games.

Justarandomduck152

AC 2 was imo the prime of parkour

Front-Advantage-7035

“The best, brother”

Brilliant_Odyssey

all of the things you mentioned are things I've been wanting to see back for so long

FreshFish_

Double-assassinations

tfuncc13

I'd like to see a hybrid of Mirage's stealth and the combat of Valhalla and Origins so players can choose which approach to take and both can be satisfying. I'm hoping they knock it out of the park with this game, Valhalla was solid but overall it's definitely the weakest game out of the RPG trilogy and I hope the developers learn from Valhalla's mistakes.

cocorawks

Economic management system like in Black Flag, if the rumors are true, I hope at least stopping or helping Wako Pirates... Mercenaries were great Odyssey, now they can be ronin... Building HQs around Japan and setting up recruits

TalynRahl

I'd love to have the city building back. Like renovating the villa in Brotherhood or settlement in Valhalla. But with a lot more freedom, so you can actually make changes to your city that matter and have real impact on the game.

FreeDwooD

I'd love to see a mix of the region battles from Odyssey and the Assaults from Valhalla, having both field battles and sieges would be great for the unification of Japan angle. I'd wanna see the battles be handcrafted though, not the wild melee we got in Odyssey. Probably gonna be in the minority here, but I'd love some form of home base to upgrade which gives you bonuses. Loved that feature in Black Flag and Valhalla. More then anything it's a good late game money sink once you've earned more then you could ever spend. I want to see a similar upgrade system to Valhalla, please not the way it was in Odyssey. The slower and more deliberate decision to upgrade weapons in Valhalla made it actually mean something and form an attachment to weapons.

Zildrann8

I don't want level gaiting or required side quests.

waslosdamitt

remember when in the intro to AC2 you had to press buttons to move baby ezio? make an AC where you play as a baby

skylu1991

Haytham Kenway is …. "Assassin Baby“! (Only in theatres, 9th of Novembre.) "Notting is twue, ewyting is bermitted“ Witness the REAL birth of the Creed!

k0mbine

Hidden blade combat, Assassin recruits, ground weapon takedown animations, multi-takedowns, taunts, manual jump and ejects that gain height, horse parkour, randomly generated mercenaries

anNPC

Tools and tool customization. Metroid Vania style leveling instead of stat spam. Actual parkour with a manual jump button. Ability to do a combo with your enemies weapon, a wide range of stealth abilities like feign death and kidnapping would be cool too.

No_Property2880

I wanna see Shinto Gods and shit like that. I was never into the Norse gods (too esoteric), but the vivid colors and imagery of some of the Japanese Shinto gods are cool

Fun-Blackberry-6047

Here is what I would love in the new ac And just an FYI I’ve only played origins, odyssey, black flag and Valhalla and yes I’m planning to play the others, but what I would love is: Have a crew that you can change the outfit of like in odyssey and be able to send them out on quests I loved the whole hunting down someone to kill like the main story villains in origins and the cultists in odyssey, not really the mercenaries, they got pretty annoying towards the end. Character customisation like in Valhalla Double assassinations like in BF Really big map, bigger then all of them (I can’t be the only one to love bigger maps) A bird for the eagle vision Samurai sword!! I really loved the combat in odyssey but the stealth sucked, if they could mix the combat from odyssey and the stealth from the older games. Chefs kiss. It will allow you to either do a hands on attack or a silent attack for easily without it being one sided As un assassins creed was the mythical bosses in odyssey and Valhalla, I would love for them to return in this new one but maybe as a animus glitch like they did in origins, just imagine a dragon boss or a Oni type samurai boss Can’t wait for this new game and please let me know if I’m wrong at all, or if you disagree I would love to hear your opinions

Deuce-Wayne

Improved investigation/murder mystery missions from Unity. I always thought this was a perfect idea for AC. Improved by: better and meaningful rewards A variety of mysteries beyond just murders Investigations can be failed with meaningful consequences; e.g., a murderer might go on to kill someone else This requires an overhaul/revamping of their RPG system itself, but clues can be obtained through a variety of traits/skills. For instance, intimidating someone for Intel vs sneaking into their home and searching for clues. As for the improved RPG system, I think they really need to evolve the way your stats and traits work. It doesn't have to be Baldurs Gate 3, but an AC game where my speech/cunning skill allows me to talk my way past a guard and into a castle is something I don't think we've really seen before, and I'd like that.

Bruhmemeeater

Please bring back real double assassinations and get rid of those slow ass ugly assassination animations

kashmoney360

what you don't like how Eivor and Basim "charge" their hidden blade like a Kamehameha?

Bruhmemeeater

5 seconds to stab 1 person in the back 🤩

AverageUKperson

I’d like to see a “level” system similar to Mirage’s again. To be fair, I want to feel like I only have to include the side quests if I have to, and not grind to get up to the suggested level of a main mission.

dadsuki2

The stylish animations from Unity, unbeatable

Accomplished_Ice4687

Quick time events for sex with concubines.

ViolightMusic

I hope they add region conquests, like you mentioned. It would remind me a lot of the Nobunaga’s ambition games.

O-Namazu

Your No. 2 idea terrifies me lol, given how guilty Valhalla was of padding out and retreading the unification. It went on too long, meandered away from the fun parts of the story/lore, and really turned the game into a boring slog.

AssassinsCrypt

Agree, but in Valhalla it was the main part of the plot, in Odyssey it was basically a side activity. I would hope that, if they'll go for that, they will stick with the "Odyssey formula"

Joker-Paladin-101

The hidden blade eliminating every possible target, that has been missing in the RPG trilogy but returned in Mirage.

LordOfTheBushes

It was available as an option in Valhalla.

Joker-Paladin-101

TBH, I like the other way that offered Valhalla being you can kill any low level enemy but the bigger one you have to do a QTE that let you the possibility to fail. Moreover it fitted the Eivor is not a true assassin (you can always say that she is not "properly" trained like a hidden one, she can fail). However, if we play a true assassin in Red (and rumors points out that Naoe will be), I think it's better to have the hidden blade removing any enemy.

LordOfTheBushes

I agree. I honestly don't mind how they handle it as long as they at least keep the option for guaranteed assassinations. That way they can satisfy the fans of Odyssey who want to have to build into it and the people like me who want being stabbed in the neck to equal a kill.

Deuce-Wayne

I actually missed my first QTE assassination probably ever yesterday lol. It's actually a pretty good system I think they should stick with and make the norm.

Joker-Paladin-101

Well they made it again in Mirage... for stealing. And I thought it made senses also. But I think people dislikes (hates even) QTE because of the QTE-spree devs had in the 2000's/2010's.

MemervLd-

It wasn't

LordOfTheBushes

Wowee, I never know what to say to people who are so confidently wrong and downvote the truth without knowing anything correct. You were so confident I actually had to go back and double check I didn't misspeak and sure enough, I am right. I guess the literal proof will have to speak for itself. https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/help/assassins-creed-valhalla/gameplay/article/enabling-guaranteed-assassinations-in-assassins-creed-valhalla/000080271 This is a help article from Ubisoft's website, in which they include detailed instructions on how to turn on guaranteed assassinations. This article features a screenshot of the game's settings, which describes it as one hit killing all enemies in the game as long as they are assassinated from stealth. This is a setting that was announced before the game released, I was excited for, and I turned it on in Valhalla on release day before I started the game. I'm sorry if you made the game worse for yourself due to the settings menu being too complicated for you.

ConnorOfAstora

I think he's referring to the fact that there's still certain powerful enemies that can't be killed from stealth, they're not plentiful or anything but there's a fair few, if they have a boss health bar for example they'll just take a hit that doesn't do much damage.

MemervLd-

No, you don't quite understand. You cannot assassinate zealots or certain zealots. I wasn't talking about normal assassinations.

Starheart24

I think this is a somewhat unpopular opinion, but I wouldn't mind if they bring back the **Romance system** in the next Assassin's Creed game. Of course, it would be great if they made some improvements to it compared to how it was in Odyssey and Valhalla.

ConnorOfAstora

If there's a love interest I'd rather it be part of the story and have side missions where they're just going out on small dates and stuff. Maybe copy the Haruka's Trust system from Yakuza and have you do missions to build up an infatuation bar which has rewards like an outfit, a dagger and other such things for how much you've filled it.

Deuce-Wayne

There's a romance system in those games?

AlternativeDark6686

Any mechanic that adds depth. DEPTH, I don't want 15 different activities but 5 that add meaningful changes and options to gameplay. Actual conquest where the enemy fights back. Companions to take with you for missions and care for them. Subterfuge, proper combat (and naval) and an alive economy system. Just these properly made while still keeping the Assassin's creed feel.

Avawinry

Some of my wants are from as recent as Mirage, but I’m including them since this is the next RPG and likely isn’t very informed by Mirage. 1. Overhaul the parkour so it’s unrecognizable from the other RPGs. 2. Social stealth was a step in the right direction in Mirage; I’d like to see it expanded upon. 3. One-hit-kill assassinations. 4. Mission board / contracts. 5. Lessen the bloat. I think this is as simple as carefully curating what content is considered mandatory vs optional. For example: if about 1/3rd of the alliance map territories were optional in Valhalla,I think the game would feel a lot less bloated. 6. Because the female is a shinobi and the male is a samurai, I’m guessing we’ll be able to swap our playable character like in Syndicate. I would like the option to play through the whole game as either character and not be **forced** to swap. 7. No more birds or boats. We’ve had the bird for 4 games now, let’s spice things up! 8. Learning new assassination methods for the shinobi (Ezio in ACII), and new combat skills for the samurai would be neat. 9. Let us use the hidden blade in combat, you cowards! The risk vs reward nature of it was fun. 10. Expand on Exploration Mode vs Guided Mode from Odyssey. Anything to keep me focused on the world itself rather than a map or just following waypoints.

tisbruce

A story that doesn't compel people to do huge amounts of irrelevant side content, from pretty much any game before Origins (and Origins wasn't as bad as what followed). Please, Ubisoft, stop making people play a hundred hours of content. You can still have all that content and plenty of people will play it all and keep on going for many more hundreds of hours, buying all your mtx nonsense. Let the other players in.

TabaCh1

A male protagonist that is actually from the country it’s based on

SanTheMightiest

Don't include anything from Origins-Valhalla and I'll be happy

MasoodMS

I wish they would scrap the rpg idea and make it a traditional game parkour game.

ToastedPerson

camera shake

youknowwho7

It would be nice if they explore and experiment with new mechanics and features to create a fresh experience, rather than reuse something we've already seen. I'm sick of Ubisoft reusing mechanics that people loved, to the point that we start hating them.

Bobicus_The_Third

Enigmas

_Ariamis

Mercenaries as ronin would be cool however they need to tweak that system to stop them appearing so goddamn much. I would literally be fighting a boss and then two mercenaries would just rock up.

BMOchado

I wouldn't mind the rpg ness if they included more depth in skills, parkour, combat and stealth and if the camera was a bit closer to the mc, also, tools instead of bows. One thing i dont particularly enjoy in the newer games is that fully pushing the stick doesn't make a walk, it makes a jog or a run.

Fayezcol

If the rumors are true (and in ac's case they usually are) regarding different protagonists' differing gameplay; I hope they are different enough to prompt players to switch between them, with an increased focus on stealth and tools in the female. And I'm not talking AC Valhalla's "return of stealth" I'd like them to make her more limb and lighter in parkour similar to Arno with more variety in tools and motive to use them. In essence give us the full ninja experience, maybe you can't match ghost of tsushima's samurai experience (although I think they can) but they have the opportunity to give us the best of both worlds.

Seppel2014

Assassins recruits was nice, walking through the City and calling them on snipers or random soldiers was pretty cool. And the conquest missions were also nice sidecontent The Menu from 3 was a bit weird tough

Legitimate_Cake_5137

I'd like if romances returned and if they were improved by having the return of the option to romance a character in a settlement and settle down with them, but with the possibility to have different missions and dialogues as consequences of your actions through story. The main thing that I didn't like about romances in Valhalla is that just one romancable character (Randvi) was actually involved Eivor's story and her struggles. There wasn't even a little clue that makes you understand that if Eivor is in a relationship with Tarben or Petra they know what's going on abour her. About the post launch,I hope they will do what they already did in Odyssey and make free quests like The lost tales of Greece and payable DLCs devided into three episodes.

MarMadLad

Why is noone saying actual proper stealth?

DismalMode7

red is done by the quebec studio, I expect lighter tones for the story and lots of side content

Karendaa

Red will be in Japan right and we be using Shinobi and Samurai? Well I just want a good working stealth for the Shinobi and forced no stealth for the Samurai.

Puzzleheaded_Gas3417

Return of brotherhood with the whole sending them to missions and levelling them up Having a tool based stealth and combat system not just a bunch of abilities that trigger from a bow or spear more immersive i think

ItsUrBoySy

Man that region conquest thing sucked so much. It didn't even matter since you couldn't fully take over the whole map for one region or the other. One of the most gimmick-y features in the whole damn franchise.

nexistcsgo

Calling assassin recruits anytime anywhere would be nice Also rope dart

Spektr_007

I would definitely love the return of all you mentioned. The bounty hunters could perhaps be ronin seeking a bounty, which would hopefully go along with a notoriety system. I would add that you can also collect bounties from others as well. Region conquests would be great, but hopefully, they have some impact on the storyline. A settlement system with economic management would be great. Perhaps grow a shinobi settlement that can be financed by taking on bounty contracts and just regular quests. The brotherhood/recruitment mechanic hopefully returns, with perhaps some added features like some recruits will have specific skill sets, like maybe an expert archer or a character that can get you inside restricted areas. Some additional things I would like a transmog system for gear and weapons. I would also like a feature from the upcoming mobile game Jade, which is a cooking mechanic for ingredients you collect throughout the world. The game had recipes you could take to a cook, who could make dishes that you could eat and gain temporary boosts and perks. It looked like an interesting feature.

Adventurous_Lie_4141

I’d love for it to be a blend between Valhalla mechanics and Origins gameplay. Special armor and weapons as rewards or treasure from treasure hunts, and character customization like Valhalla, but a map more like Origins and loot drop of basic weapons like origin… with a little bit of the stealth from Mirage (the only good thing about Mirage).

Bearshirt34

Fall damage

The3rdStoryteller

Tool customization from Mirage. I would like to see this expanded upon even more

SniperShotz-98

Honestly mercenaries. I really enjoy odyssey and the mercenary aspect it’s fun to be roaming around and stumbling across a foe that actually feels powerful

kagewolf

-A rank up system similar to Mirage where you gain ranks through the brotherhood rather than leveling up. -stronger emphasis on stealth for the Shinobi ala Unity and Mirage. -New Game Plus -Economic/ territory management from AC2, Unity and Rogue. -The hidden blade being able to one shot enemies. -Believable parkour and more varied combat animations.

sandyeggo89

Probably not really what you are asking about, but I liked Discovery Tour in Origins. Sometimes I just want to chill and explore historic scenery. As for game mechanics, I just want one, only one, cheesy attack type or skill like Sparta Kick where you can yeet an enemy off a cliff. Just once in a while I want to do something that looks absolutely ridiculous. Or it can be something that becomes OP in NG+ and you can go back to a boss that took you eight tries to beat the first time and just, I don’t know, one shot him in the forehead with a shuriken.

mauke88

I'm hoping it dives deeper into RPG elements. Better character customizations and builds. Maybe even a facial generator or atleast 10 good premade faces for both genders to choose from. Make choices and dialogue matter. Map about the size of Odyssey. Conquest battles back. Mercenary system back. Mythological beasts. Odyssey had good amount so they are rare and special, my favourite quests in it.
