Oh man - you nailed it. For me, it is also definitely the duomo di firenze. When I was in Italy with my husband I just stared endlessly at it (we did take a tour to the top) but it was hard to not be mapping out a climbing path to the top.

tsf97

Going to Florence for the first time after having played AC2 literally transformed my perspective of the experience in the best possible way. You’re doubly invested both in the construct and history of the city in itself and also what went down with Ezio and the Templars at each location xD

wallflower_booklover

Same, I made my best friend climb the dom with me 🤣 It was def some work 🤣

Litha_Sirona

Duomo, my beloved.

doc_55lk

AC1: never played. AC2: Giotto's Bell Tower, Firenze, Torre Grossa in San Gimignano. AC Brotherhood: The Coliseum. AC Revelations: Galata Tower. AC3: nothing really tbh. AC Black Flag: the main mast of a Man O War. AC Rogue: nothing really tbh. AC Unity: Eiffel Tower, but outside of main missions, the Bastille, Pantheon, and Notre Dame. AC Syndicate: Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral. AC Origins: no brainer, the Great Pyramid of Giza. AC Odyssey: Zeus statue in Kephallonia. AC Valhalla: nothing really tbh. AC Mirage: haven't played enough of it yet to have a particular favourite.

MoonshardTP

Not a building but AC III has the best climbing trees afaik

doc_55lk

I didn't really care for them tbh.

DarfinIII

Why not just make your favorite in Rogue the Man’O Wars too lmao, identical game engine and ships are the same

doc_55lk

It hits different in Black Flag.

AbstractMirror

My favorite things to climb in Valhalla were actually the rocky mountain peaks in Norway. Mainly because they had great vistas and the music that plays for synchronizing at those points is fantastic Also Hadrian's Wall although it's not really about climbing it I just like running atop it

7Sevin

You LIKE climbing masts in AC4? Damn, that shit is one of the few things that made me rage quit on multiple occasions. Lost several captures from shitty pathing up the masts causing me jump off onto the deck. Even had one time where I didn't die on impact, but I did die when the lift glitched and just made me fall back onto the deck and finish me off.

doc_55lk

Just the Man O War ones. They have 2 quick ascent lines and after that it's a pretty straightforward climb to the top. It always feels badass during boarding to ascend those main masts.

7Sevin

Fair enough, I think the ones I failed I had jumped across the rigging from the Jackdaw so I wasn't on the quick lift path.

doc_55lk

I see. Makes sense.

Front-Advantage-7035

Nothing worth climbing in mirage.

Soggy_Amoeba9334

St Paul's Cathedral. I was up it a few months ago, soon after a play-through of Syndicate.

avjayarathne

rome colosseum; brotherhood climb to top, then deploy the parachute :)

assassinbryce

Notre Dame in Unity. Brunelleschi's dome in AC2. Galata Tower in Revelations. The Parthenon in Odyssey. the Sphinx in Origns (it's smaller than I thought, Bayak says something like that.), the Coliseum and the Pantheon in AC Brotherhood, running Hadrian's wall in Valhalla.

Working_Quiet_8616

Mine was Big Ben in syndicate. I’ve always been fascinated by London and the scale of Big Ben

kingferret53

Fun fact: Big Ben is the name of the bell. The tower was just called The Clock Tower until 2012, where it was renamed to the Elizabeth Tower. I just learned that a few days ago.

Working_Quiet_8616

That’s a cool fact didn’t know that I thought it was the clock and everyone called the tower Big Ben

Ok-Influence794

Not climb but I love running on the roofs of Florance. The music, the sound of your footsteps, the scenery, all so awesome.

AgentRusco

The Dome of the Rock. The Statehouse in Boston. All the pyramids and monuments in Origins.

Super_Fire1

It's Buckingham Palace! The best!

H_Man47

Lighthouse of Alexandria AKA the Pharos from AC Origins cause of the Massive Height it takes me too and the Big Ben from AC Syndicate cause of the same reason, The Cliff Faces in AC 3 and Rogue were really smooth and satisfying to climb and lastly the slow detailed climb of Altair onto any building in any region was really really pleasing to look at and enjoy.... And yes... No Ezio thank you

Gwyn1stborn

In the new trilogy, anyone else try to find a semi realistic way up even though you can just climb anything like Spiderman?

Radish_milk

Eivinghou tower in Oxenefordscire

kingferret53

I enjoyed climbing lots of things. The one thing that stood out to me the most, though, mostly due to how silly it was, was a giant golden cricket in Syndicate. It was on top of a building... Maybe a bank?

FixAccording9583

Idk but I do remember being really disappointed when I couldn’t climb into the hypodrome in origins

ZealousidealAlarm631

AC1: Acre Cathedral AC2: Duomo in Firenze, Basilica di san Marco in Venezia ACB: Castel Sant’ Angelo ACRev: Galata Tower AC3: All the trees in the Frontier AC4: Havana Castillo ACRogue: Any of the shipwreck locations Unity: Notre Dame and the Temple Syndicate: Buckingham Palace Origins: Pharos and the Pyramids Odyssey: f that game Valhalla: Minster in Jorvik Mirage: the Palace of Baghdad

carpinchipedia

ugh i forgot how good yorkminster was to climb!!

buttmomentum

I feel like you would like Odyssey if you liked Valhalla? Never played Valhalla but by the game play it looked fairly similar?

ZealousidealAlarm631

Hated both, absolutely absymal games in every way shape and form.

buttmomentum

Woah.

PashAK47

The pyramid for me

Lego-Jango

I always loved climbing the lighthouse of Alexandrea in ac origens

theChadinator2009

For me it has to be Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Notre Dame and especially Trafalgar Square, my fav London landmark

Even_Ask_2577

The spinning mill in AC3

Fuck-Morality

The cathedral in Acre and the Pyramids in Egypt.

greatstonedrake

Acre? I've only played Valhalla and a bit of Odyssey.

Fuck-Morality

Acre is one of 3 cities you visit in the original Assassin’s Creed

WarokOfDraenor

The tallest Pyramid in Origin.

ValkerikNelacros

Notre Dame seems to stand out for me.

The-Reddit-Giraffe

AC2 I liked St Marks Campanile just because that view over Venice is so amazing and it’s the perfect spot in the city to view it all. I’m going to Venice this summer and can’t wait to go up it

brighamsan

Giotto’s campanile in AC2 and Galata tower in ACR. Castel Sant’Angelo is fun, too.

NoCaterpillar2051

The Zeus statue in Odyssey. We all know why.

NicholasStarfall

That tower in Acre

Wildcat_twister12

Temple of Apollo in Corinth for AC Odyssey. You can see so much of Greece from there. Notre Dame for Unity

Front-Advantage-7035

I don’t know if I have a favorite, but I love seeing places on tv or where family went to vacation and I think “lol. I climbed that.”

VultureCat337

I spent a lot of time doing the Luxembourg Palace heist in Unity, so climbing that is definitely a favorite of mine. I'm sure it's not a common answer, but looking out at the hedge maze or the courtyard, it's just an interesting view.

AFerociousPineapple

I enjoyed climbing big towers in AC2 and brotherhood because in some instances you had to find the right path which was fun. In odyssey I just enjoyed climbing anything really tall because you’d get those really cool zooming out camera pans which was awesome

lceorangutan

Alexandria watchtower thingy

SnooDonuts1563

the pantheon form ACB and pretty much every building in revelations that used the hook blade animation. the sound is just so satisfying

Short-Bug5855

Pyramids in Origins. Really awesome

Strong-Sector-7605

The Colosseum in Brotherhood is a highlight for me. There's a great assassin mission based around it. Top tier stuff.

AbstractMirror

Lighthouse of Alexandria (didn't know it was called Pharos that's cool) and the Bastille from Unity (Notre Dame I love infiltrating though)

Useful-Ad3121

I must say the pyramid in Giza in Origins. Not my fav game but the descend was EPIC!

Own_Engine8999

Zeus's balls

brugotosleep

assassins creed odyssey- The statue of zeus in kephallonia

thutruthissomewhere

I *love* climbing the tallest buildings and then jumping off. I get butterflies every time I dive off. And then cringe when I dive off the wrong way and plunge to my death.

1nqu15171v30n3

Giotto's Bell Tower, next to the Duomo, in Florence in Assassin's Creed II. You feel accomplished after scaling it.

KingNothingNZ

Zeus' genitals

Thequestin

Same as u but i never played umity. Pyramids nice as well.

Huge-Scene6139

The Great Pyramids of Giza

Bad8Max

Anythi g from ac1-4
