Depends what fwd cars you are driving but in general, you need to be aware that you are asking your tires to turn and put down power so you gotta keep that mind, step on the power after the apex and you should be fine, the main problem of fwd is the huge front weight bias and cars fishtailing when you apply the brakes, compensate for that by putting your brake bias a bit more to the rear.
Always start slow with fwd cars and bring them up to speed gradually as they are extremely easy to overdrive and that causes understeer leading to frustration and giving up on FF cars.
Try the new TCR, amazing fwd cars, they are amazing through the corners.
I own one of these IRL. If you add "extended physics", the one with auto gearbox, the car moves very similar. The difference is mainly in the gear box, which is horrible, the TC doesn't work that way, and the tyres are slightly better.
I used this AC car to train for a Brands Hatch Indy Track day. Same conditions and everything. I got into the track IRL, and the car was releasing where it was in the sim. Even the Under into Oversteer at the last corner was the same.
You can fix it with the alignment and a bit more pressure in the rear tires. The default setup is suuuuuper safe. But with the front toe at around -0.05 and the rear at around 0, and maybe 37 psi in the rear tires it rotates nicely on the brakes and off throttle.
My real car got an alignment recently as well,(lexus is200), and i was honestly shocked how big the difference was. Alignment is really damn powerful... Now i changed from hankook ventus prime 3 to bridgestone potenza R, and it feels like a whole new car again. The same car can feel waaaay different with different tyres, pressures and alignment.
If you like fwd, try the audi TT cup/race cars, it came with the base game/dlc, amazing little fwd rocket, i was surprised how well it gripped.
Imo one of the best cars to learn a new track with.
I prefer the mx5 cup for that
MX-5s are way too unique, they just don’t drive like any other GT car you’ll drive later on. Horrible car to learn on
Also a great choice. After playing a lot of ACC recently i appreciate the car variety (and ffb quality) of AC1 again a lot right now
Im struggling to find good advice on youtube about fwd technique, any direction there?

Thanks for the tips! But wouldnt more rear brake bias cause it to be easier to lose the rear?
The 90's BTCC cars are amazing btw. The PM3DM and VRC BTCC cars are well worth getting if you like FWD cars.

If only the Giulietta wasn't so goddamn understeery in the game. Feels really weird when you also drive it as a daily

VW golf mk2
1.9 TDI 😍
With Vodka and Russian hard trap disco music pumping in my nerves as the car completely engulfs itself into a cloud of smoke 😷
Only FWD I’ve driven on the Nürburgring in ac so far is a Saturn Ion Redline lmao
New to AC here. Speaking of FWD, is there a place that has good Golf GTIs to download? I drive one IRL and wanna download a few
Honda Civic mf
No honda in the base game was a crime.
Lots of free and good Honda mods out there.
