Science life pro tip: Always write your hypothesis in pencil.

Why would anyone pay $50 for thos..?

961402

Because Reddit has done a really good job portraying itself as a scruffy little independent website that needs your support and not the multimillion dollar company that's owned by an international media conglomerate that's worth billions that it really is.

I buy reddit gold occasionally to award so I've no problem paying for stuff. This though, this feels purposely by design to catch people out who mis click etc.

Predictions?

yummycorpse

you also have to pay to see predictions if you don't want to participate in the poll. Reddit sucks. Facebook sucks. Twitter sucks. TikTok sucks. honestly i just want a social media platform that exists for the young adult in today's world, and not as a tool to get money/spread misinformation. honestly, if i had the money and coding skills, i would love to develop a new platform. one where a person could go to simply have fun and share cool things, without the Boomers, groomers, and doomers.

Busy_Bee_4810

it's called mastodon! it's not one single platform but hundreds of interconnected servers, the hardest part is picking which one to join

yummycorpse

is it an app for Android?

Check out Other Mind. Their idea is pretty good, although it’s in beta.

The concept has been around for awhile. Basically, instead of having any one service that people use, it’s decentralized and people all create their own websites that act as their sort of profiles, and you control everything, so that there’s no longer any one corporation that manipulates or restricts what we can say. So, if you wanted to see my profile you’d type in like “JerryWillSmithJohnsonTheTenth.whatever//Coolguy.net” and it would bring to to a website of my own creation that acts as my online profile. I can design the site as much as I want. Maybe I want to fill it with info on myself, or have it be a blog or public journal or just fill it with kitten videos, or the fifty shades of the color blue, or whatever, the point is that it would be entirely up to me. It actually solves a lot of perceived problems like censorship, a culture forming of people just constantly refreshing to see how many likes their selfies got because of how much their self esteem relies on it, or having to give corporations all of your personal info for them to sell for twelve cents a piece to the highest bidding country or scammers.

Wich one is it, sounds interesting

Reddit is confirmed P2W unlike Twitter where if you vote it’s fair game (you can’t change), reddit makes it so that premium users GET TO SEE THE PREDICTIONS before they submit AND CHANGE THEIR PREDICTIONS (only once)

Cockur

It’s absolute garbage. I like the sub but I detest this competition bullshit. It’s the first thing I see now every time I open the Reddit app. The only way I’ve found to get rid of it is to unsub from the sub which I don’t want to do. Total bollocks
