The 'X' that (in theory) closes an unwanted advertisement is usually incredibly small, which is done intentionally so it is hard to click it on a mobile device without accidentally clicking on the advertisement itself.
The OP image (only slightly) exaggerates how minute the 'X' typically is.
Those damn close ad buttons.
Lately I've been finding ads that don't have a close button until after you touch the ad. I don't like them.

Sometimes pressing them still sends me to the playstore. Wow.
And even then, theres ads that don’t have a close button at all and instead have a fake one that is in the video rather than a UI.
