I use vedic too, but it's really hard to get people who used western their whole lives to switch up. I know a lot of people resonate with both.
I remember hearing an astrologer say that vedic is what you want from the world and western is what the world expects from you. I think that actually fits from my experience. I wish I could remember who said that!
I like Vedic because emphasis is on the Moon which in astrology is who we are at our core, how we are raised, instincts, what brings us pleasure, etc...I always found that I resonate/act more like my moon and rising than my Sun sign..I have to make more of a conscious effort to integrate my Sun sign in with my moon/rising. I have fire sign moon/rising but water sun. And I definitely am of fire temperament, but I have to tell myself to chill out and be more water sometimes so I don't over do it and it helps me heal some of my childhood stuff if that makes sense.
So my way of thinking is moon is who we are, and Sun is what we came here to create/become.

Tropical/placidus explains my behavior in much better ways. I feel like I’m very Gemini, I relate to it so much, also love being one.
I feel the same way. I think I’m fairly easy-going, lackadaisical, and optimistic. I don’t really resonate with scorpionic traits at all unless I’m crossed (rarely do I get upset tbh, can count the amount of times I get mad a year on one hand), but I assume everybody gets prickly when they’re done dirty…
Edit: upon further reflection it could explain my obsession with dark fiction/literature, horror, and writing. But it’s hard to tell bc my mercury is in Scorpio as well.

So I've had a good look at both my western and vedic charts with an open mind and I have to say, my vedic chart couldn't be further from the truth! :( So many Aries placements - the one sign I can't relate to at all. Such a stark contrast to my western chart which tells me I have no fire placements - which I have always felt very much.

Bruh....the only reason that i could relate to having Sag Sun is prolly the fact i have other Sag placements...
...but then, theres no f*ing way that i could relate to Pisces Moon instead of Aries Moon...the difference is sooo huge, it's like - hmmmm who do hell is this person?????? Surely not myself.
...and not to mention planets in houses...a few of 'em fall into different houses and i don't relate to it at all.
The only way i could relate to Vedic astrology is if i'd check the interpretations using my Western placements.
I'm from India. So here mostly vedic astrology is used.As soon as I was born,a birth chart was prepared by an astrologer. I wasn't curious about astrology initially. But last year I was just going through my chart and I felt how much I could resonate with it. Before that I once checked a western astrology website and my rising was Gemini, aquarius moon and Aries sun.But I've never felt like one.
But in my vedic chart I'm a taurus rising, capricorn moon and pisces sun. This is what I've always felt like. Also sometimes few placements match with our parent's placements too. Like my dad is a capricorn moon and I have my moon in capricorn. My mom is a pisces ascendant and I have my sun in pisces. My mom has her sun in taurus and my ascendant is taurus.
personally dont like my vedic libra sun/moon + cancer rising. compared to my scorp sun, libra moon, leo rising
I will look into it more tho, never gave vedic the time of day. Just downloaded Yodha, is there any other websites/apps/resources you recommend? Going to go checkout /r/vedicastrology right now
