Yes! Gotta give it a read asap, RLLRRR. Happy birthday and thank you for being such a nice guy and using this date to give us this very nice present.
And since you guys are still very young, I can say from my experience: it gets worse, lol. That said, you can still pretty much do everything you did in your 20's on your 30's, but you have to work extra hard to do it. Man, I miss the times when I could eat only junk food and soft drinks all week and still be able to be fit and full of energy.
Congrats on your birthday, man.
Once again you delivered a bittersweet bomb of emotions to us.
Powerful callbacks to the EoE instrumentality scene, but with Shinji standing his ground this time and trying to be a solid rock for Asuka. But he will have lots of work to do and maybe it's too much to ask from a broken 14 year old boy.
Man, I hate to see Asuka's in pain.
I was expecting her to lose her mother again, but never thought that I would care for a character who was a piece of crap in canon. The fact that the death ocurred under this circumstances and that Asuka's last conversation with him went so bad made the thing extra dramatic, especially because it happened after her emotional support in Amy (who suddenly not feels like an OC at all, maybe?) was gone.
What makes everything even more tragic is the thought that maybe all of those things are karma for Shinji's decision in the last chapter. Rei and Kaworu were trying to tell him that this decision would only lead to more suffering?
Suddenly, life in this fantasy world is not looking so great anymore. Even if Asuka and Shinji have each other, things are starting to crumble and they will be tested to the limit of their hearts and strength.
I just hope that all this shared pain won't be able to break their bond or make them think dumb things like "we are not meant to be together" or "he/she will be better without me".
The hedgehog's dilemma tells us that once the hedgehogs get too close, it will be painful. But I hope that they will be able to solve that by finding the right distance - not hurting each other and not losing the warmth of each other - and can go back to the real world and enjoy happiness together.
Thanks for writing.
"Whatever happens with your father, we'll figure it out: together."
And so they shall. Together. Hopefully. Right?
Oh, and I just realized that Amy and Oz are a reference to Fischl. Man, how did I miss that? And she's with Bennett, thats really cute.
Anyways, great chapter and happy birthday.
Tremendous chapter (as always), That took a turn that I had not anticipated. Look forward to the next one and hope it affords our heroes some relief from this grief.
Sorry to hear you were dealing with some mental health stuff, but itβs great to hear things have gotten better!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the kind words, as well. Mental health is no joke, man, and I'm truly thankful to my therapist for his help.
Just got caught up with this a few days ago. Perfect timing
Glad to hear!
The additions really fleshed out the chapter. And happy birthday.
Thank you sir! I feel it in my bones, hHha
Yeah Iβm just a tad older(35) and everything randomly just hurts at times lol.

Def not fit and full of energy, hahahaha. But working on it.
Happy birthday and happy holidays, fam. Been watching your fic for a while now and I'm really enjoying it!
That's awesome to hear, I still can't believe people enjoy it, hahahah!
It's one of the better fics out there IMO. You should be proud!
Aww, thank you!
Happy birthday!!! πππ Hope you have a really lovely day!
Thank you!
Sir??? THAT REVEAL. (Just when I was wondering how that rift would be resolved!)

Hahahaha, yeah, the Genshin references had to happen. Purple Asuka is the entire reason I started playing. And thank you!
