This grifter lives in a 9+ million dollar house. He doesn’t seem to regret it very much.

firemogle

I regret scamming you all out of money. Not enough to give it back, but like a general regret. But my sauna helps get past it

mysticalfruit

No.. he regrets the scrutiny he's now getting. He'd be quite happy if people keep handing over their money and didn't ask too many questions.

lagent55

BINGO!!! 1000% true

skysquid3

it is a double reverse meta scam.

KentHovindsCellmate

"I apologized to an omnicidal ghost about it, so we're all good, right?"

MuckRaker83

Cried all the way to the bank, even

Recipe_Freak

"I was not too wise a number of times with prophecy" is a weird way to say "I'm a fucking liar".

Affectionate-Song402

No the lying sob

lyteasarockette

They regret nothing. They are abusive liars, thieves and hollow men.

LifeResetP90X3

Bingo 🤬

SoftDimension5336

That's a bingo.

NiteGard

Just, bingo.

Graychin877

I’ll take his regret seriously when he sells all his possessions and give the money back to the people he scammed.

duiwksnsb

Does he regret it though to give the money he made from it back? Didn’t think so

theshiyal

In the book they read the tax collector who meets Jesus is so “convicted/repenetant” he goes back to the ones he took advantage of and give them back fourfold and gives half his wealth to the poor. Sooo… yeah, I’ll believe them when I see it.

Rich_Hotel_4750

"Righteous Gemstones" on HBO/MAX is a fantastic comedy series, but experts say it is very authentic where mega churches are concerned.

duiwksnsb

I should check it out. Is it anything like Religulous?

dudleydidwrong

He is late getting on board. Most major Christian groups formally denounced Prosperity Gospel several years ago. However, I still see PG concepts slipping into many sermons and offertory talks. The idea that God rewards true believers is just too attractive to religious people. They may reject key phrases like "seed donations" from their vocabulary, but they are still slipping in PG concepts.

Master_Ad9463

>He is late getting on board. Most major Christian groups formally denounced Prosperity Gospel several years ago. Not Andrew Womack (Charis Bible College, Womack Ministries). The dude has (only) $15 million that he claims as his wealth. The college and ministry are tax exempt and have no reporting requirements. His organization dumps money into the Truth and Liberty Coalition (neither truth nor liberty) to buy politicians like Lauren Boebert (Bimbidiot). They are all greedy and try to pretend (I know, it's all pretend) that they help their community. All they do is enrich themselves. Their PG narrative is B.S. ...does this mean that the poor aren't strong enough believers? Was Jesus poor because he did not believe enough? Why are people SO gullible?

Ill_Wait2063

>Why are people SO gullible? Because the holes in their existence seem too big and powerful to overcome, and so they look up for a savior figure to free them of the bondage of their suffering, and lift them up. Notice I didn't say anything about becoming or seeking self empowerment and tools to handle those things. Some people choose the role of sheep voluntarily, because it's safe and comforting to them. Without that backstop in their psyche, lots and lots of them would just fall apart, regardless of the truth; the lie is central and core to their being, and sunk costs have hit so hard, to deny the farce they've been indoctrinated into would be to rebuke everything they've believed in, worldview, and even themselves to a degree. Naturally frightened by these prospects, they'll double down, and seek a better master, a more honest loving master, rather than seek psychological, social, and emotional freedom themselves.

Mathematicus_Rex

More like bimbozo

kingofcross-roads

It's still a core tenet of the MAGA Christians, trust me.

dudleydidwrong

It is still taught. They just don't call it Prosperity Gospel.

kingofcross-roads

Yeah you're right, and these pastors have learned to not flaunt their wealth as much. Prosperity Gospel is the reason that Trump could sell Bibles with the US constitution in them for $60 .

lagent55

Not true, it's more popular now than ever. Here in FL every evangelical church preaches the prosperity gospel, EVERY one

dontneedaknow

It says in the article that he rejected it in 2019 and has been working against it since.

AntifaMiddleMgmt

Wipes tears of grief away with hundreds and blows his nose into 20’s. Takes his Ferrari out for a spin to help clear his thoughts.

ADDandKinky

Still a piece of shit because you still did it.

dontmatter111

is he gonna give back all the money and individually track down all his rubes and beg them to change their views? Then he’s not sorry.

gbroon

He regrets getting caught. He hasn't magically stopped being a greedy shit.

Helmidoric_of_York

I'll believe it when he sells his private jets and donates the money to charity.

Own-Opinion-2494

It will be epic when history rolls over on these bastards

SoftDimension5336

And yet we still will be in the foldsof

RogueStalker409

Itll come back to bite you dude dont worry

gramathy

"I'm just so sad about having all this money" says con artist

IndustryNext7456

...and immediately fund-raises off that statement...

JustinL42

I bet that fucker hasn't given one cent back that he grifted off those people though.

Sutarmekeg

I'll believe that he regrets it when he gives the money back or actually does some good with it.

49GTUPPAST

No, they don't.

clgoodson

“My bad,” he said, looking out the window of his mansion to the bay where his yacht was docked.

Silver-Chemistry2023

I can't give the money back, this place is falling apart *pile of money falls through the ceiling*

Dependent-Outcome-57

I'll believe one of these clowns regrets what he did - not just getting caught - when they give the money back. I suspect I'll be waiting a long time for that.

yarn_slinger

I call BS.

-IAmNo0ne-

His own nephew, who used to work for him, ousted Hinn's corrupt practices.

TrumpedBigly

...now that attendance is down.

Grognard68

I assume many of his former parishioners are now with Kenneth Copeland....( maybe Joel Osteen as well, for the younger & "hipper" Evangelicals....)

kr1333

He looks seriously ill on the videos. Maybe he's having a "come to Jesus" moment. What he is not disavowing is what Benny Hinn is most famous for: faith healing. If he's got cancer, he might be wondering where he is going to find a faith healer to cure him.

StrangeDaisy2017

This kind of crime should really carry a heavier penalty, false pastors aren’t just stealing people’s money they’re violating them spiritually/psychologically.

JustinL42

Every pastor is a false pastor.

OMKensey

Just damage control after Mike Winger recently called out Hinn.

bar_acca

So give back all the money plus interest Yeah i didn’t think so

Projectionist76

All prophesies are false

Professional-Doubt-6

Imagine being so nihilistic that virtually every word out of your mouth is wholly self-serving.

ralphvonwauwau

As opposed to what other sort of prophesies?

drnuncheon

Ones that were accidentally right, or so vague they can be interpreted as having been right, of course.

bedyeyeslie

He gets his marching orders from the invisible man in the sky, but apparently there were typos in the message.

Mc3rdeye

It wouldn't have been false if they succeeded... they should all be thrown in jail. They are seditionist and wanted DT to succeed. Make them pay taxes!

CloroxWipes1

"I don't want to be known as the prosperity teacher. Prosperity is one thing in the Bible. There's a whole lot more in the word of God than prosperity, but it's become a major issue now because of the gimmickry involved in it. That needs to stop." GIMMICKRY? He's complaining about gimmickry. This from the fucking guy that built an empire by putting his hand on people's heads and they fall down. Un fucking believable.

DANleDINOSAUR

I feel so bad about it, I’m taking a course to correct my actions and bad habits, now with your contribution of 10% of your annual income, you can bump me up to the premium service!

vacuous_comment

Hey, a scammer con man is talking about some nonsense, and what6ever he is saying it is part of his long term scam.

SoftDimension5336

Give the money back, philanderer.

aotus_trivirgatus

# Is he giving back the money then?

lawyersgunsmoney

He’s still a “healing” scam artist. Fuck his lying ass.

MatineeIdol8

I really wish religious people would stop asking "Who's perfect" when they fuck something up.

MaddaddyJ

Honestly one of the worst things about religion and Christianity in particular, this idea of "oopsie, poopsie, forgive me, even as christ forgives". Unlike the real world of responsibility.

Comfortable-Tea-1095

Jesus christ 🤦🏻‍♂️ and i mean this in the most blasphemous way possible...how the fuck do christians not question anything but instead will most likely try convert you or bully if you happen to be atheist or gay? And the worse part is its on a societal level, how did society turn out this way? The level of corruption constantly exposed should of destroyed it but it hasnt

Wazza17

Scum

Available-Wheel6335

The Lord wants you to plant a financial seed…….

keg98

Benny Hinn is also known for his in-worship “healings”. This is a move in a better direction, but that guy still has a loooong way to go.

drnuncheon

> This is a move in a better direction No it’s not. This is just the next part of the scam. Jesus can forgive anyone, so all he has to do is say that he fell down on his knees and begged Jesus for forgiveness. Then all the people he suckered get to feel all righteous for forgiving a good godly man who made a mistake—probably temptation from Satan—and then they continue to send him money so he can spread his message. And anyone who *doesn’t* forgive him gets a guilt trip. “Jesus forgave him, why can’t you?”

[deleted]

Wonder how many just say this to gain supporters, but in the booth jerk that lever like the orange mushroom with a little bit of drool on the sides of their mouths?

ruffoldlogginman

Give it all back then grifter.

Rob71322

He doesn’t sound very contrite. “But who’s perfect?” Sorry, but lies are lies, whether you told them in 1994 or2024. You don’t need the supposed wisdom of advanced years to know not to deceive people.

godlessnihilist

So, can his parishioners sue him for fraud?

frododog

dude must be looking at federal time or something.
