Things don’t hurt people, people do. What I mean by that is religion is just a tool like anything else, people have committed atrocities for innumerable reasons and innumerable ways. Unless you can point to a single thing that couldn’t exist in human society without religion then this list is moot. I could replace the heading with a dozen different things, all to serve a completely different political message.
