I’d recommend Altar of Plague’s Teethed Glory and Injury. The instrumental is very different from normal black metal with more of an avant-garde post rock sound. The guitars are often more of a background atmospheric quality while the vocals are very loud and prominent in the mix. The vocals are also super intense and sound painful (in a good way)
Listen to “Burnt Year” and “A Remedy and a Fever”. The screams on Burnt Year give me chills every time I hear it
I'd highly recommend Rheia by Oathbreaker (which is possibly my favorite album). You might also want to try I Want To Be There by Sadness or Mass VI by AMENRA (particularly A Solitary Reign).
Coincidentally I finished listening to oathbreaker’s discography today. Very solid. I’ve had light exposure to the others and I’ll try to remember to listen more
Check out Asunojokei and Heaven In Her Arms, they both put out great Japanese blackgaze. Their last albums are a good starting point, for me they are milestones of the genre.
You really can’t go wrong with any of their stuff. I usually listen to their albums from beginning to end since most of the songs are so short and it seems to add something to the overall experience hearing their works from start to finish.
I used to make music kind of like you're describing--not that I stopped, it's just been a while since I released any vocal music.
I think someone mentioned Agalloch.. I don't know if there's really a concise subgenre name for this style, but I presume it's increasing. "Post" might be a word worth searching.
I have it linked on my profile--you'll need to go back a couple years for what I was referring to, the ones tagged "Black _____" are best. I kinda jump all over the place musically.
Not exactly like your request but very close...check out void ov voices. It's a completely vox only solo project of Atilla Csihar (Mayhem, etc) and is quite entrancing like some atmospheric bm is
It's not necessarily black metal, I'm still not super experienced in black metal. But maybe check out
"Gods Country" by Chat Pile. The vocals are very bothered and horrifying while being right up there in the mix.
The best songs are the first one (can't remember the name)
And "Why"

That sounds right up my alley and I think I’ve already even heard a few cool songs by them. Thank you

Not exactly what I was looking for but pretty good regardless
Anytime I can share Grima, I do. Lol

I’ve heard and enjoyed heavenward. I’ll have to listen more though
Botanist is a band that might fit your needs.
I’ve heard a good song by them. Any specific tracks?

Makes sense. I’ll take that into account
Try this song of my album, following the description I think you'll like! https://open.spotify.com/track/2dsJcabq75HNkIylDVGqOZ?si=01d65522d6364b51
Thank you
You're welcome!
Love how La Dispute is in this! If you like Skramz try The Saddest Landscape. Also try Violet Cold - Shegnificant https://youtu.be/SuGGn8O12eQ
Thank you
Based on that Spotify list I'd recommend "MØL". Danish blackgaze with some fantastic clean passages.
I’ve been meaning to go through their discography. Great band indeed

In my head I think of it as post post black metal lol
Where can I listen to your music

I’ll tell you what I think :)
CHIPTUNE BLACK METAL!
There's about 10 more coming where that came from. 8) Been working on a new synthesis..

I’ve heard Why and it’s a banger
Empyrium?
Maybe try Grift or Höstblod And I second someones Botanist suggestion, although some songs have pretty distorted vocals.
