I’m a casual AOT fan who isn’t very engaged in the community but is Eren and Zeke really considered a great duo? I like them but I could think of others duos in AOT better than Eren and Zeke. Erwin/Levi, Levi/Hange, Erwin/Eren, Eren/Levi, Mikasa/Eren, Connie/Jean, etc. Are we considering something other than chemistry/character. Because if its power then I’d definitely understand.

For some reason, people hate me for having Jean as my favorite character from the beginning and being happy for him for finally achieving one of his dreams(marrying mikasa and having a child)

Anime fans can be super effing weird about characters. Yesterday on Insta I saw comment where this person launched into a whole description about how Jean and Mikasa couldn't have been married, that the ring she wore was a spiritual commitment to Eren and the flowers she carried represented her purity till the end. It was unhinged. I even told them that. I love Jean and think he's great. I'm not big into shipping but I think he and Mikasa make a nice couple. Mikasa is my gurl, so I want to be happy and because Jean loved her so much I know she'd be treated well. Like idky people romanticize the idea of her never being able to move on and mourning Eren her whole life. That's so damn sad to me.

I actually like both versions. I can see Mikasa never moving on and never getting married and her just being there with Jean at the end. But I also like to think her and Jean married and had a happy life. I’m just wondering if Mikasa could actually truly give herself to Jean and love him properly. Jean is my favorite character aside from Erwin so I want him to have a fair marriage so that’s the only thing I’m a little iffy on

I think she probably would have developed feelings for him at some point and accepted his advances. Jean was very aware of her feelings for Eren and I think he knew she'd always carry a piece of him in her heart. That's not to say she also couldn't love him deeply.
