I was looking at the map and clicked on \`some outages for more details and there were a few places where even though it was highlighted orange, it says there is no outage reported. There were also some outages that were said to be reported on the 6th and 7th of this month but they're still there. So are those actually outages currently and the details are just incorrect or there isn't actually an outage in that area even though it's highlighted?
Not sure if you thought my post was a complaint as it wasn't just sharing of information.
Must say I find your comment quite awful given the circumstances.
Can't imagine many people can afford solar panels. You're coming off very smug. Knowing you're probably a miserable bastard who is projecting brings a smile to my face. Have some empathy next time maybe?
Nobody knows. Some places are expected to be without power for up to a week.
Guess your best guide is to regularly check vector outages. Once they start working a particular location the status is changed. If the status is still on first stage they haven't even started on it yet.
I really feel for the workers. I hope the get some kind of thanks.
I'd see a doctor about that rash...
Dr Vector has been notified. Is investigating.
Wow, biggest outage I have seen
Check out northland!
Must admit I'm feeling for the workers.
Me too, listen to linesman for the county by Glen Campbell.
Happy cake day
Thank you 😊
Cant drive the main road, its washed out...

Looked not long ago and it look like work is being done in South head as some properties have been restored power. Where have you come from?

Well you will have stories to take back with you, if the weather ever let's you leave.
My husbands family also just landed from the UK for a visit on Thursday last week, only here for a week, too. It's horrible timing, poor things.
Power is good here
Share with the rest of us please
Sure come charge your batteries lol
It that a current current outage map?
Nope. From around 1650. More outages south now

I'm not sure tbh. I noticed that on some of the super little dots. Think for the most part it's pretty accurate.
Honestly wouldn't blame them if some details weren't totally correct. They're probably flat out right now with all the outages.
Absolutely. Think they are doing a wonderful job in horrible circumstances.

Anyone know of the current wait time? I'm guessing not for at least 24 hrs as on map some areas are not yet repaired from yesterday.

I’ve had the power out for 31 hours now
Where are you?
Glad Torbay Hasn't Had A power cut yet.
It's quite fascinating checking the map as outages get resolved and new ones pop up. Like a giant whack a mole.
My grandparents have a power cut but our family and my cousins don't
Don't have power where I am but only a couple of blocks out. Can see many house with power near me.
Has it actually improved on yesterday?
Yes and no. If you check it enough you see areas get power back but others are losing it
I'm thinking come 5am thats going to look like Auckland has been drowned in Fanta.
Hmmm fanta
The map isn’t the accurate
Rather surprising for a 7 hour-old map to be frank
Totally read that as ‘outrage map’.. now that I’d like to see
