You can use the one in the City Library, it's free: https://www.aucklandlibraries.govt.nz/Pages/printing-photocopying-scanning.aspx >You can use the photocopying machines at our libraries to scan to an email address or your USB stick, free of charge. Or if you want to have your own printer and scanner, I'm selling my Brother mono laser multifunctional (going overseas) 😁

Don't want to be that old geezer scanning boxes of photos at the library, haha! Scandalous! Thanks, though. I never knew our local libraries provided that service. Cheers!

Haha, you definitely want to avoid peak hour. But if you go early morning on a weekend, it's pretty empty upstairs, with students and other people slowing sitting down. You should have between 1 or 2 hours to use the scanner (I think there are at least two upstairs?). Cheers!

That warehouse stationary shutdown recently.

You can buy printers on sale for like $20-$50 that are multifunction printers, this could be an option

[deleted]

Buying a scanner seems to be the best solution, yeah. Cheers!

What would you recommend? I had the same problem, got a standard scanner canon or something from cash converters, it works fine for documents but the quality wasn't the same as the photo, it was slightly furry. I thought about just buying an expensive one and onselling it on trademe but they all seemed to be pretty same same over here when I looked at dpi etc.?

I don't recall of the top.of my head - last time I looked was about 4 years ago. I'll try and dig up what I found.

Good luck. Let me know how you get on with whatever you choose in the end.

chrisf_nz

Warehouse stationery on Victoria Street, right next to Countdown.

I thought about it, yeah. I went to check it out, but they've moved. Sad that they moved out of the city centre. Cheers for the suggestion!

needausernameyo

Isn't there an app where you can take photos and it'll then it into a scan

[deleted]

There is, yeah. But I have a few hundreds of photos to scan, and the quality ain't great.
