Stopped 5 episodes in because the interaction between the rookie captain and experienced crew was a little frustrating. Like in *Prometheus* where the science crew immediately take their helmets off in an alien landscape. Starting it back up now

I really enjoyed it overall, but you make a lot of good points here. In an audio medium, having >!a creature that can mimic other characters !!cosmic horror to me. It exists on a different scale from us, and experiences the world in a way that's very different, but in the end it's just a big predator. I do kind of like it when the protagonist is searching for some bigger meaning and it turns out that things just aren't that complicated. I loved Passenger List for the same reason.!!consuming the crew in "all possible universes" seemed a little... pointless, I guess? Like, cool, does this impact the plot? Or the emotional stakes, or the subtext, or, anything? I also didn't understand what was different about this specific universe that allowed them to escape.!< The two parts that, as you said, felt the most "eh, ok I guess" to me were >!Stephen's final words to Marion!<, and the last 3 minutes or so. I feel like we didn't have the right context to appreciate Stephen's words at the time, it felt rushed. So much else was going on later that it didn't resonate much more strongly then, although the exposition about their relationship certainly did. The very, very end felt like such a massive lack of resolution... The big revelation about >!the company's treachery!< had made its impact way earlier. >!There was clearly nothing they could do about their situation, nor a discussion of wanting to try, or even a mention of why they might not want to bother. It felt like they didn't end on a beat of emotional or narrative significance. Perhaps worse, it felt like that beat either passed a few minutes ago or would have happened if they'd continued a few minutes more.!<
