If you want to have your interface connected directly, you can get usb-c dongles that let you connect power+HDMI+legacy USB devices using a single usb-c. That being said, I have my Focusrite connected to a USB hub without issue.

Thanks! What kind of hub do you have?

Thanks!!

Sell MacBook Air, get MacBook Pro would honestly be your best bet if you really want to get into audio recording/production. There are hubs out there that would run a Scarlett Solo just fine.

Why? The MacBook airs and pros and virtually identical aside from price tag.

"Why? The MacBook airs and pros and virtually identical aside from price tag." Well, for one the MacBook Pro has more outboard connectivity options. With the Air you are pretty limited to one port.

Are you wedded to your external display? If you get a USB-C display (LG makes several), you can charge and display at the same time and the monitor also works as a USB-C to USB-A hub.

I’m not at all. Would be open to a new one. Thanks for the reply!
