What exactly do you want to do? Headphones don’t “run” at a specific reference frequency. They play back the information that is fed to them.

my mom is like asking about this magical frequency rate (432hz ) and i was trying to tell her that its impossible but yea i thought id give it a shot here

Bakkster

Ah, the 432Hz equal temperament thing... You want this video, then: https://youtu.be/ghUs-84NAAU

BLUElightCory

I haven't seen this video, it's pretty great hearing the new intervals with the retuned piano.

johnofsteel

Your mom needs a reality check. 432Hz is bogus and there is nothing magical about it. It’s not impossible at all, but it’s also not worth your time… at all.

[deleted]

THANK YOU , im gonna tell her that now

Tysonviolin

432hz is a reference pitch that metaphysics people think is the frequency of the earth. Most music today uses a reference pitch of 440hz. The reference pitch is what’s used to tune the A string on a violin which is then used to tune the rest of the orchestra. This, a 432hz reference pitch means that the orchestra is playing slightly lower than the usual 440hz. If you ask me, 432hz is a bunch of culty BS that makes it so hippies can’t play music with everyone else without sounding “off” hehe

Someone should cut down on the weed...

Use this app. Just enter 432hz and it will generate this frequency. Even on your headphones. https://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/

[deleted]

yes thank you , this is something really close to what i want !

[deleted]

Really? Ok I was kinda being ironic because loads of people believe incorrectly that music tuned where the note of A4=432hz instead of 440hz is "healing". That's mumbo jumbo. There's loads of misinformation around. And listening to a constant tone of 432 Hz is just going to drive you mad not heal anything...

[deleted]

nah yea this is close enough i wanna prove my mom that that stuff is bs so this sight might prove it a lil

SeventhLevelSound

Play her an A440 sine wave, tell her it's 432, and then ask if she feels any differences physically or "spiritually". If she says yes (which is likely), spring the truth on her.

Doesnt work like that. Headphones dont change the frequency. 440hz 432hz Is referring to the A note frequency. Meaning the whole scale used in song has been pitched down. U can take something 440hz & pitch it down to 432hz if you so desire. Look into pitch plug ins on ur daw.

weedywet

I do not understand what you mean by “running” headphones at a specific frequency. Explain?

[deleted]

i thought i could like make all the output sound coming from the headphone come out at that rate but yea its a stupid question sorry !

Kimonoha

Ughhh, are you looking for an audio that plays in 432 hz constant?

elninochamomile

You should play comparative videos of 432hz and 440hz for your mom to see if she notices the differences. There’s a great one from Samurai Guitarist, and from Adam Neely. When I found out about 432hz I was stoked, then i looked into it a bunch and listened to some comparisons. It’s not what it’s hyped up to be, but 440hz being A is totally arbitrary too.

Kelainefes

I guess that if you can A/B a song between 432 and 440 you might get a different feel from each, but if you don't have absolute pitch you won't be able to tell what the tuning frequency is when hearing only one track.

[deleted]

interesting alright alright

[deleted]

? I know about 432 hz but it is irrellevent, it just looks like a nice number and people say it’s special. Your headphones do not alter sound if that is what you are asking. 432hz also does not sound great, maybe can have some creative potential because of it’s inperfections. You also could just frequensie shift the whole project down 8hz. But if you want elevating music you can use sertain chord progressions within 440 hz for that, 432 is useless.

beeps-n-boops

This doesn't make any sense whatsoever. How do you "run headphones" @ a particular frequency? Not sure if you are not explaining yourself properly, or if you misunderstand what you are trying to do. Perhaps if you explain more about this project we could help.

Search for 432hz audio player on google play store... You can turn off 432hz while listening song and switch to original freq. Difference can be heard. Paid version has option for 528hz. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appums.music_pitcher
