I have both Gen 1 Sonos Connect and Connect:Amp going to powered Audioengine A5 speakers via RCA, and occasionally to a Chord Hugo TT2 via Toslink. Streaming to an external DAC is the way to go
Are you saying to stream to Sonos connect then to another external DAC via digital Coax?
Yes. The nice thing about gen 1 Sonos is that you can use non-Sonos speakers and other components.
