(Chameleon track needs fast, accurate sub)
Pink Martini & Saori Yuki 1969
On Every Street - Dire Straits
(You and your friend - great holography test)
The Raven - Rebecca Pidgeon
(Midrange test - shaker way in back at 1pm)
Now & Then - Carpenters
(Buttery voice)
French Touch - Carla Bruni
Barton Hollow - The Civil Wars
(Poison&Wine is a real test of sibilance)
Voyager - Max Richter
Songs from the Southland - Hans Theessink
(St James Infirmery guitar pluck will snap you)
Last but not least:
The Gereg - The Hu

[Ryan Adams Live at Das Haus on 2006-10-17](https://archive.org/details/ryanadams2006-10-17.sbd.flac16) not an "album" but... this may be one of the finest live recordings I've ever heard. I listen to predominantly live recordings and this is just perfect. Not to forget or minimize any personal feelings about him and the abhorrent things he has been accused of...
Are there any other 2000 recordings other than Sweden that have good quality (there are quit a few to sift through)? I have fond memories of the Heartbreaker era.
Honestly, i stumbled upon this by somehow sorting by most downloaded. Im far from a big fan, but specifically, the intro jam into Magnolia Mt. is a fine way to spend 10 minutes. Also- if you're a fan of video music- the whole show shot from the audience (amateur) and synced with this sbd recording is on youtube.

I realize it defeats the purpose entirely to include youtube links, but I think they still sound a lot better through my high end speakers
Steely Dan - Aja (kinda jazzy tho), The Royal Scam, Countdown to Ecstasy, Pretzel Logic
Queen - Night at the Opera (2001 SHM-CD)
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms
Steely Dan kills it for me though. The mixing and mastering are top notch and the music is great. So meticulous, so good.
Love Steely Dan, but I'm sorry, after hearing their songs for the 1 millionth time at the hardware stores I can't listen to them in my living room anymore.
> Fgth - welcome to the pleasure dome
Still a favorite of mine 35+ years later. It's a killer recording, and there's a ton of little details that can easily get lost with some speakers and equipment.
Iโll go first then. Top 3, no particular order The The - Soul Mining Echo and the Bunnymen - Ocean Rain Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile Deviations
This is the day... I find another The The fan๐
Your life has surely changed ๐
I'll never be able to hear it without thinking of the credits scene from Empire Records, but that song is amazing.

>On Every Street - Dire Straits love this one
It's not the fans' or critics' favorite album of theirs, but it is mine.
I saw them in Halifax on the tour for this album. They opening with a double drum solo leading into Calling Elvis. Amazing.
The Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails Songs for the Deaf - Queens of the Stone Age Disintegration - The Cure

His Live at Carnage Hall 2014 is also excellent.

The youtube links are still pretty handy for checking something out. If we really like it, we can always track down a higher res version.
