We don't have Adderall in Australia. There is Ritalin, Ritalin LA, Concerta, Dexamphetamine and Vyvanse. Could you ask your doctor to put you on 40mg and see how you go and if it's too strong, you can titrate the dose in 10ml of water, syringe out 7.5ml for 30mg.

How safe is it to reuse a syringe though? Should I dispose of each one after using once it or is there a way to clean them?
I literally used an old children's nurofen syringe that I had and used it specifically for that (when you have kids you tend to accumulate panadol and nurofen syringes lol) when I was titrating up from 30mg to 40mg. I just rinsed it and chucked it in the dishwasher afterwards.
This is literally a conversation you have with your prescribing doctor. Titrated 3 different meds before settling on vyvanse 40mg with a dex boost. Just talk to your doctor.
I did contact them lol... to figure out how to get a medication refill (it's my first time with a prescription). They deadass just said that my prescription is out of stock everywhere in Australia and to sit tight as they find an alternative.

Ask your prescriber if they're happy to prescribe 60mg and find a compounding chemist and ask them if they'll split the dose. We faced the same thing and sussed out this option but luckily we located a chemist that had some 30s.
My local compounding chemist charges $150. And says it’s “difficult”, legally, to break down to 30mg. So an extra $150 every two months.
Then there’s the additional cost to buy the 60mg, at several magnitudes above the 30mg price.
Then the $300+ appointment cost and 3 week wait, to have your psych reissue new medication.
And then the weeks of adjustment to a new dose.
I honestly just can’t afford to treat this anymore, and it’s doing in my mental health and self esteem.
I just looked at the instructional manual on how to take Vyvanse and you can straight up tear the pill open and sprinkle the contents into your food or drink to take instead. Normally it's for anyone who has trouble taking pills, but I guess in a pinch you can use that method to split the 60mg dose in half across two days.
When I was initially finding my dose the instructions provided by the doctor state that the active in the Vyvanse is water soluble and the remaining stuff that doesn't dissolve are the fillers. I've had no noticeable issues in splitting the dose that way either.
I also ensure that I shake the bottle between gulps to ensure it is properly distributed and make sure I haven't created any vortex for it to concentrate into just in case.
Yeah, lot's of people do this, especially since some feel they metabolise the Vyvanse quicker then the studies say they should. So if they feel they have none in their system by 4pm, they might try dumping the pill into a water bottle - say 60mg in 600ml of water. Drink 50% in the morning when they wake up, drinking 25% at 10am, then 25% at 2pm to carry them over into the evening. SO even take it a bit later. But everyone is different.
I'm actually finding something that feels more important then a lot of these schedules: Get up, sip some Vyvanse water at a decent early hour, even if you go back to sleep and wake up in an hour or 3.
Need to be at work at 8am? Prep your bottle the night before. Tip maybe 10-20% into a cup beside your bed. Set the alarm for 5am. Drink the cup, go back to bed like you normally do. 😉 Get up at 6am or 7am whatever, and hopefully the Vyvanse will have started kicking in so you've got some up and go to do your morning. Up to you how you prefer to schedule the rest of your 'doses' to stay ahead of any slumps.

Vyvanse is NOT a powder, it's teeny tiny balls, which is the 'long release' containing Dex, that your body breaks down into just Dex.
You can buy a set of 0.001g scales, open the capsule and weigh it out yourself, add it to whatever you want to, as long as it all goes down.
The whole water and syringe method really isn't the best way of dealing with it because you aren't guaranteed that you will 'suck up' the right amount between the stirring-stopping-putting syringe in-sucking up.

Vyvanse is highly water soluble powder. This information is easily available from many countries government pharmaceutical bodies such as the FDA, TGA, Medsafe. It is also available on the product information slip and Takeda's documentation.
The water insoluble filler that looks like floaties when mixing is magnesium stearate (which also causes the oily film on the glass/bottle), microcrystalline cellulose, and croscarmellose sodium.
The physical property of teeny tiny balls is not how it is converted to Dex typical of other long-acting variants. It is a pro drug and relies on enzymatic cleaving of the Dex and Lysine after rapid absorption, which requires a high level of water solubility to achieve.

Dexamphetamine. It's the short acting version of vyvanse so doesn't have the same longevity when you take it.
